We're located just outside of Abiquiu on 7 1/2 acres, on top of a mesa with gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains, especially "The Pedernal", which is the famous flat-topped mountain that Georgia O'Keefe painted while living at Ghost Ranch, which is located only a quick drive away. Georgia O'Keefe's house is open for tours in the summer months. Also, Abiquiu Lake is located only a short drive away and the Hot Springs Spa at Ojo Caliente is quite close, only a few minutes down the road. You can, also, drive up to Chama to ride on the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railway that takes you up into Colorado. Bode's gas station/deli/art gallery/grocery store is in the center of Abiquiu for your convenience. There are many restaurants close by for your eating out experiences of the New Mexican Cuisine.
The Guest Casita is a one bedroom with a Queen bed and an antique daybed that makes into a double bed. There is an attic/loft that would sleep 2 people. It has a screened-in porch and a patio area with a gas grill, table and 4 chairs for your cooking out experience. The sunsets are fabulous and you can witness the most beautiful star-studded nights of your life, shooting stars no exception. There is a wonderful walking/biking/horseback riding area that encircles the mesa.
There's a small corral next to the casita, which could accommodate 2 horses, no barn, also a round pen which could accommodate 2 horses. The weather is almost perfect with hardly ever any rain, and the horses would be fine for a week or two in the open air. Also, we have an RV hook-up next to the casita if you want to bring your RV. Call for rates for your horses and your RV.
There is so much to do that is only a close drive away from Abiqui and we have a great vacation get-away for you for a week or a weekend. We're a brand new listing and have plenty of spaces available for your stay, so come on up on the mesa.!!!!!!! |
