This is a well maintained and clean property. It is at the end of a short dirt road that gives the house a very private feel. We loved the outside deck and the large windows in the main bedroom. We spent an amazing sunny day in November at warren dunes state park. The park entrance is very close to this property. We walked on the large wide sandy beach for hours and only a saw a handful of other people. Thank you for making our vacation special.

Christmas Vacation

The setting of this cottage was wonderful and was very convenient to the places we wanted to visit and the family that we were meeting. For summer time it would be ideal because of its close proximity to the Warren Dunes. It was very easy to find with a sign marking the entrance at the main road. It is easily accessed from either exit 12 or exit 16 of off I-94. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spacious and suited to our needs. The price was also very reasonable especially with our small dog. The owners were very timely in returning our security deposit. The property was clean and well maintained and included a washer and dryer. The road to the property was well plowed for easy access. It would have been helpful to have a few more cooking items like a 9x13 pan and next time I will know to bring some basics like aluminum foil and storage containers. Extra blankets for the sleeper sofa need to be replaced. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay here and will consider returning in the future

Thanksgiving Weekend 2010

The cottage is in a really nice setting amongst century old trees. We really enjoyed our stay as it is private, rustic and aged (quaint) enough to be interesting. The bathroom fixtures, heating system and furniture are new enough to make it comfortable. Because we were there in November we were not able to enjoy sitting out on the deck which I’m sure would be quite enjoyable on warm evenings. If you need occasional wi-fi it is available at the McDonalds about two miles down the road. The transaction with the owners was seamless; if we come to the area again we would certainly re-book the cottage.

Fathers Day Weekend

We stayed here over Fathers Day weekend 2010. The area experienced severe thunder storms on Fri night, and while most of the local stores, gas stations, restaurants, banks, etc lost power for the entire weekend, the cottage remained with power, thank goodness. Because of this, I'm unable to comment on any local shopping, etc. However, we did have a wonderful time at Warren Dunes (less than a mile away), and the weather ended up cooperating with us on Saturday and Sunday. Overall it was a very nice experience, and I would recommend this to a friend.

We arrived on Sunday July 19 to a very clean and comfortable setting. The windows were open letting in the fresh breeze that blew all week. We didnt even turn the air conditioning on at all, which is unheard of in the middle of July in Evansville. About the only problem we had was there was only 1 pot and 1 small frying pan in the kitchen..We did call the owner and asked to borrow a large pan for the MI sweet corn we had for dinner one night..She brought it right up and it was ready when we arrived back from the beach!! Speaking of the beach OH MY GOSH it is wonderful!! I have been coming to Sawyer for 5 years now and I think we have found a new home!! I cant wait till next year!!

I recently stayed at your cottage and it was great - even better than advertised which doesn't happen often. The lot was great, huge yard and great fire pit, no neighbors around at all. It was very close to the warren dunes state park which has a nice beach, loved the area and hope to come back again sometime!
