This is possibly the only rental property available in Palmetto Dunes that is a 10 minute walk (5 minute bike ride) to the beach AND is on a lagoon with a private dock AND has a view of the 2nd hole of the Fazio golf course! We are situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac on a no-through traffic street at 34 Heath Drive.
From the moment you step into the vaulted entry way you'll find one pleasant surprise after another. The elegantly appointed formal dining and living rooms will draw you to the spacious family room with incredible views of your deck, patio, pool & spa. This isn't a typical vacation house...it feels like your home-away-from-home during your stay. From the family room, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and informal dining area. Every view is spectacular! This section of Palmetto Dunes features large lots with excellent separation from your neighbors. Our lovely lagoon is home to several gators, turtles, heron, egrets & wood storks. Unlike most rental properties, you also have use of our garage with keyless touchpad entry. Our home is located within the security gate of the resort and our street is very quiet (no thru traffic).
This is a luxury rental with two king master bedroom suites and two queen bedrooms. Each bedroom has a private bath (4 hair dryers provided, walk-in closets and good separation for peace & quiet). We also provide a queen size and a twin size air bed for children. The maximum ADULT occupancy is 8. The twin fits in an alcove in the Master closet with lots of room to spare! Our grandkids love to "camp out" there. The master suite features French doors to a private deck & a large master bath with a jetted corner tub and oversize shower with spectacular views. There is also one queen guest bedroom on the first floor. As you can see in our photos this 11 year young home (3200 square feet) is beautifully furnished & professionally decorated. Our "penthouse" master suite has been redecorated and features a new king Beautyrest mattress. Master bathrooms both have double sinks. PLEASE NOTE: maximum of 8 adults.
We welcome families & children to our home! During your stay, please enjoy our pool with many toys, as well as beach toys & chairs. We have a pack 'n play (your sheets), a high chair & a full size Peg Perego stroller. Fishing from our private dock is permitted. We provide 12 bikes (see photo)some children's bike helmets, family games, cards & a poker set as well as DVD, CD & VCR players. The dry bar in the living room contains a full compliment of glass & barware. Kayak, canoe & additional bike rental is nearby at Palmetto Dunes Outfitters where you can launch into the 11 mile lagoon system that offers a unique view of the Dunes as it wanders through the homes & golf courses of the resort. The fitness center in the nearby Marriott Ocean Front Resort offers weekly access at reasonable rates. Beach access is conventienly located through the Disney Beach Resort in Palmetto Dunes where you'll find bike racks, limited parking, decks, restrooms & a snack bar. Relax at the Hilton Beachfront Resort which offers full spa services at the Ocean Tides Spa just minutes from your front door. The Coastal Discovery museum and Pinckney Island (National Wildlife Refuge) are great places to explore.
Palmetto Dunes amenities are among the finest on Hilton Head Island. This property is conveniently located to all of them! Enjoy 3 miles of spotless beach, or choose from a world class tennis facility and three championship golf courses. Unique to Palmetto Dunes also is an 11 mile lagoon system. Shelter Cove is Palmetto Dunes' deepwater access. Boat & kayak trips on Broad Creek and to many destinations depart from here. There is great shopping, scenic views of the harbour from many restaurants and summer fireworks on Tuesdays. Take the complimentary Dunes Buggy and avoid looking for a parking place.

We stayed here in July of 2009 and had a wonderful time. The house was perfect for our large family and everything was clean and well taken care of. We would highly reccommend this rental to families. The views from the pool were excellent. Overall a very unique property in Palmetto Dunes because of the pool with hot tub, views and privacy, short walk to the beach, and the bikes.
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Hi Judy, We had a fantastic time in your beautiful home. It worked out perfect. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach and it was beautiful weather. The alligator was fun to watch and the turtles were all over each other. We did not use the hot tub not enough time to work it in as we kept too busy. Judy, I just wanted to write you a note to thank you and your families for opening up your home to us. It was a wonderful vacation. The house is very beautiful, the pictures on the VRBO website don't do it justice. The pool and hot tub were wonderful, my kids swam every day. (Usually twice a day). There were 2 big alligators in the lagoon behind the home which really was fun to see. (We kept our distance and didn't feed them). The bikes were great and the house very clean. Your cleaning crew does a good job. Thanks again and we will keep you in mind for next year if we go back. Mark D & Family

We left this morning around 8:00 AM. We were very sad to go. It was a wonderful week. Finally we have found a vacation home with a living area like we are accustomed to. Our home has 12 foot ceilings and we just feel "tight" in some of the homes. We had the other half of our family over Monday night for a cook out. It was great. The way your space flows our large family was able to enjoy each other while others found nooks for privacy. We even had some line dancing going on in the foyer. (The two oldest celebrated birthdays in Nashville this year.) The rain might have put off some guests but your lovely home was perfect to read and watch the weather. We love all weather. I must say our kids who rented the home in Sea Pines were jealous. Their home was nice but had low ceilings and kind of chopped up rooms. Their night to have us over was not nearly as pleasant as ours. I hope you found everything in order upon our departure. We look forward to renting your lovely home again next year. This house is extraordinary. Our company from England and we were overwhelmed by the whole house. You could not ask for a better location or amenities. The booklet that is provided about Hilton Head was very helpful. The renters are easily accessible from day one. We will definitely rent this home again and highly recommended it.

This house and property are beautiful. Plenty of room. Best of both worlds, near the beach and a great pool in the trees on a lagoon. I will do this again with my family! Highly recommended.
