My 2 friends and I stayed at Rob's apartment for 7ays at the end of Feb. 2012 and it was not only a great apartment but a perfect location in Recoleta. The apt. was only a short distance to the Recoleta cemetary (and also had a great view of the cemetery from the terrace). The apt. is also walking distance to restaurants, cafes, stores and other sights and attractions. We enjoyed the sidewalk cafes for cafe con leche y media lunas every morning. It was definitely a better option than a hotel. We enjoyed walking across the street to the small neighborhood grocery store, buying a bottle of Argentina malbec and sitting in the comfortable living for a glass of wine in the evening. Rob is a fantastic host and thinks of everything you would possibly need for your stay. Loved the binder with all of the information of things to do and places to go in Buenos Aires. Even though I am very familiar with the city he provided information on some tours I did not know were available...for instance the tour of Casa Rosada and Teatro Colon. Thanks Rob for everything you did to make our visit a memorable experience.

Recently returned from a wonderful week in Buenos Aires where 2 friends and I stayed in this property. I have to say, it was a great deal and my friends and I are so glad we chose it. We hadn't been there more than a half hour when Rob called to check in on us and make sure we had arrived safely and had everything we needed. The location is ideal (be SURE to visit the Recoleta Cemetery with your camera; we took large paper and pastels to make rubbings!). A pharmacy is steps from the front door, and a small grocery is just across the street...hint: try the affordable selection of Malbecs on the shelf and grab a bar of chocolate to enjoy with your wine while you gear up between sightseeing and late dinner. Overall, we found this condo to be clean yet modest, with a small/adventurous elevator that will require a few trips to get your luggage upstairs. We always felt safe in this neighborhood. You won't regret this choice, especially if you consider a hotel room a place to rest and sleep, not spend a vacation in.

My friend and I settled on Rob's apartment and were absolutely satisfied from the moment we arrived. It is in the best part of town, close to everything you would need and in a secure and very well kept building. The view is amazing and the apartment very welcoming. My husband and I spent 10 days in this apartment. From day one, everything was very clean, the fixtures were sparkling, beds were very clean and comfortable in every way. Our landlord was more than helpful with all the information we needed to know about staying in Buenos Aires and certainly our neighbourhood. We would be delighted to revisit this apartment again.

Great Apartment in a Great Neighborhood

We stayed at Rob's apartment for 8 days (December 13-21, 2011) and have nothing but good things to say about the apartment itself but also about Rob, certainly the host with the most. The apartment is in a great location in Recoleta, close to everything you might need amenity-wise (including public transit) as well as within easy walking distance to all kinds of great restaurants, cafes, stores and other sights and attractions. There were four of us, and the apartment suited all our needs and didn't feel crowded at all. It was definitely a treat to be staying there and living like a local, as opposed to renting a hotel room, or rooms in our case. Rob was great to deal with during the planning stage, with all the bases covered so there wouldn't be any surprises. He even made himself available (by phone or email) during our stay just to make sure everything was A-OK. He's a super host and a great guy. If anyone is considering arranging to stay at Rob's apartment we heartily recommend you do it. Thanks Rob for all your help arranging our stay and being there whenever we had any questions, before, during and after our great time in Buenos Aires.

Great Place in Recoleta

We recently returned from our trip to BA and thought Rob's place was wonderful! It's comfortable, clean, well stocked, and in a great location. The apartment is bigger than it looks in the pictures and was more than roomy for the four of us (2 couples). We knew we wanted to stay in Recoleta and this apartment is right in the midst of what the area has to offer. We were a 5 minute walk to the Recoleta Cemetary, the artist market in the park outside the cemetary, and to lots of good restaurants. Don't miss the bakery thats a few doors down... great sweets as well as wonderful sandwiches! Also, Rob couldn't have been more helpful. He happened to be down in BA while we were there and took us on a little tour of Recoleta when we arrived! We can't wait to go back to BA and when we do, we will stay at Rob's place.

We spent four nights at Rob's and are so glad we did. The location was perfect. It is right in the middle of everything. The apartment is spotless! That was very important to me and Rob didn't disappoint. We moved on from Buenos Aires and our next place couldn't compete with Rob's apartment. We were spoiled. He was also so helpful prior to the trip. I consider Rob a friend now and I haven't even met him yet. Great guy and great apartment!!

So glad that I picked this property for our (two ladies) stay in BA last week as we went there to celebrate my birthday. The posted pictures do not do it justice...it is spotless, so comfortable and in a great location. You will want for nothing as the owner has it well stocked right down to lots of tips on where to go (brochures, maps and his personal notes) etc. After getting the lay of the land, you will realize why Recoleta is the perfect neighborhood as it is safe, clean and there is so much to do and see that is close by. It is easy to get to all parts of the city from this location. The owner is so helpful and truly enjoys sharing his special place with visitors. You can tell he strives to make sure your trip to BA is a great experience...and, ours was - Thanks Robbie!!

Rob's Wonderful Recoleta Apartment

My family of four stayed for 3 weeks in Rob's apartment and are so happy we chose his over so many others that were available. Rob was great to work with; he's charming and very involved in making sure your stay is wonderful. The apartment is very well situated, with transportation, restaurants, movie theater, shopping, and so much more. The view from the apartment is also great! The porter at the building and the cleaning lady were very friendly and helpful as well. I would definitely recommend Rob's apartment to anyone looking for a well appointed, well located, safe, and convenient place to stay in Buenos Aires. I would also reccomend Fred and Karina from Silverstar for your transportation. They were punctual, friendly, bilingual, and I can't say enough about them as well. GREAT VACATION! Marissa and family

We enjoyed our stay very much! Rob was very on top of things and checked in regularly and took everything seriously and was very reliable. Building seemed very safe (although no 24/7 security- seemed to be daytime only- it may be my mistake I thought it was 24/7 in the original listing). Regardless, it seemed to be a very secure area, we saw women walking alone in the middle of the night and we felt very safe both in the building and in Recoleta. Great cafe across the street (Pilar)..little markets very close and a bakery, pharmacy etc. and SO close to the cemetery! Taxis are the easiest form of transport from here if you need to go longer distances and are cheap and easy/quick to get. Rate seemed pretty reasonable for size/location/view. We chose it for the view, the 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath and the 1/2 bath (toilet and sink)..this seemed to be a harder combo to come by when we were looking. We also chose it because Rob was very easy to deal with and seemed to have a lot of pride in his place, and we liked that Rob lives in our home state, so it was easy to communicate with him and he was always available. The apartment was very livable and laid out well. We came in the winter and found the temperature inside always perfect. Things that were helpful to us- the guest book in the apt., where people put things they had seen, restaurants etc. On our own we found 2 sites badelivery (can order food/wine online in english/spanish and there's a huge variety and comes fast) and landingpadba for transportation from/to airport for $50 (clean newer cars waiting w/ a sign w/ your name at pickup). Overall it was a very good experience and hopefully I was able to give an objective viewpoint... we would go back any time! Thanks Rob! Great place!

Can I just start off by saying Rob was more then a pleasure to work with. This was my first time traveling internationally and Rob was extremely patience with me answering all of the questions I had (which was A LOT). I have nothing but great things to say about Rob and his professionalism. The apartment was a blessing, it had pretty much anything you can think of, if you forgot a toothbrush, he has them!, if you forgot a shampoo, he has them! The location was fantastic! You can actually see the famous cemetery from the patio and the best part is that you can get a cab within 10 seconds of walking outside the building. My friends (4) were able to live there comfortably for a week and you can't be the location. It was pretty much a $5.00 USD cab ride anywhere (Palermo, San Telmo, Downtown, etc) which is always nice. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to travel to Buenos Aires and be in the center a safe and fun neighborhood!

We stayed at Rob's beautiful apartment in April. The location in the middle of Recoleta was fantastic. I was in the bakery next door every day. The apartment had everything we wanted and more -- including taxis right outside the front door. Rob helped us in every way right from the beginning. We hope to visit again next year since we are in love with the people, the streets, the food, the tango and all of the things that make Buenos Aires so wonderful. Thank you, Rob, for making our stay so special.

Rob made renting this apartment so easy from the very beginning, with quick, constant communication throughout the process. Once we got to the place, we were very pleased by the clean, relatively roomy apartment, excellent high-speed internet (apparently not a common thing in Argentina), and truly the perfect location. We always felt safe in Recoleta. Lots of good restaurants and shops withing walking distance, plus a steady stream of very cheap taxis available to take you anywhere you want to go. Being in a non-English speaking country can be stressful at times, so it was always so nice to be able to return to "home". I would highly recommend this place to any friends/family travelling to Buenos Aires.

We stayed in Rob's apt. with another couple in Feb 2011 and enjoyed every minute of our stay. As others have said Rob was incredibly responsive and helpful with any detail or concern we had planning the trip. The apt. is well appointed, comfortable,very clean and in a beautiful neighborhood. The large bedrooms gave each couple all the private space we needed as well as very comfortable beds. The area provided all the shopping and restaurants anyone would need. Save yourself the trouble of looking and farther and book with Rob now.

Great stay in Buenos Aires

The Recoleta is the best location for visiting Buenos Aires and this property is perfectly situated. Just walk out the front door and there are great restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and shopping within easy walking distance. Buses and taxis to every part of the city are available just outside the front of the building. The apartment is light, bright, airey and has all the amenities for comfortable living. Rob couldn't have been more attentive to detail and concerned that we were pleased with everything. We even had a double rainbow over the Rio de Plata one day!

Pasamos una semana excelente en Buenos Aires en este apartamento localizado en Recoleta. Todo lo que necesitabamos lo teniamos muy cerca. Rico para salir a caminar y muy central de todo. Facil tomar el bus o el taxi al frente del apartamento. El apartamento es muy cómodo. Fuimos mi esposo, mis dos hijos adolescente y yo. A pesar de tener solo dos AC (uno en la sala y otro en el cuarto principal) la habitación adicional se alcanza a refrescar. Muy completo en todo sentido. El internet es super rapido y eficiente y Rob tiene mucha ropa de cama y de baño disponible. La cocina es muy funcional e incluso el patio de ropas..se seca muy rapido todo alli. Tiene una vista divina al puerto y al Rio de la Plata sobre el cementerio Recoleta que esta a tres cuadras asi como muchos lugares para visitar a pie y restaurantes donde comer. Es muy bueno tanto para largas como cortas estadias. Le agradecemos a su dueño Rob todos los esfuerzos y su interes porque estuvieramos comodos y con todo lo necesario. Se preocupa demasiado por el bienestar de sus huespedes..Muchas gracias por todo Rob.....Sandra, Ricardo, Nicolas y Gabriela

We stayed at Rob's 'home away from home'... Dec 6 - 13th, 2010. We looked at a number of apartments online in Buenos Aires to spend our vacation. After making several inquiries at various accommodations we decided to give this apartment a try. Rob's VERY prompt responses to emails, his friendly personality, and the pride you could hear in his voice when describing his home to us were the reasons he won us over. Even while we were there he was just a quick email or phone call away. The well furnished apartment, with your own security (and doorman) had all the comforts of home. We stayed there with our adult son and his girlfriend and we had lots of room. The second half bath was really appreciated. The apartment is listed as air conditioned and the two air conditioners worked great! The second bedroom however does not have a/c. The WIFI really came in handy. The desk areas in both bedrooms created a perfect computer space which was appreciated, as three of us had laptops. It seems I am using the word 'great' over and over again. What can I say... It was GREAT! Rob goes over and beyond to make your stay in his home a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone. We actually met Rob the last day we were there. He was as friendly and genuine in person as he was on the phone. He even had our security deposit with him to give us in person. Thanks Rob for a 'great' experience! David and I felt just like locals in the comfort of this cozy apartment ideally located in the heart of Buenos Aires. This location made it easy to get to the best of the city including Palermo, San Telmo and the numerous plazas and neighborhoods in between. Ample space, efficient kitchen and pleanty of amenities along with the extra perk being on the top floor certainly made us feel like we had ideal privacy and awesome views.

The listing was spot on. The apartment/condo had every single amenity listing and more. The property is immaculate, decorated tastefully, comfortable, cozy and quiet, yet located in the center of Buenos Aires, where taxis galore are right out the front door. Perhaps the best amenity of all, if you will, is the property owner, who is simply the most responsive, friendly person. Without a doubt, we would recommend this property to friends and relatives. We used DeFrantur tours, and each tour picked us up at a hotel one block away-so convenient! Shopping in the area is outstanding, and of course the Recoletta Cemetery, and three of our favorite restaurants were Sette Bacco (close by), Piegari (need a taxi) - both wonderful Italian restaurants and I'm Italian so I've had some experience with Italian cooking, and Sirop Restaurant on an alley off Vicente Lopez, where a couple of other interesting looking restaurants are. We hope to go again!!!

We stayed here with our 2 children, ages 12 and 14 and had a great time. There was plenty of room, a great view, comfortable beds, lots of light, and all the amenities we needed. The apartment is near several restaurants, laundry, ice cream, pastry shop, convenience stores, and an ATM. It's only a couple of blocks from the sights in the Recoleta, with a bus stop out the door, many taxis, and about a 10 minute walk to the Metro station. Rob was very helpful during the whole process and provided lots of helpful information. We could not have asked for a more friendly host or a better home away from home.

Wonderful Apartment With View of Recoleta, Buenos Aires!!

The apartment is a nice size, very clean and organized. It has all of the comforts of home and more. The best thing about the apartment is that it has a wonderful view of the Recoleta, Buenos Aires' best neighborhood. The apartment featured great WIFI & new 36" Flatscreen Samsung TV with multiple channels in all languages. Rob (the owner) takes good care of all details including recommending tours, restaurants, Tango Shows, language schools, grocery stores, laundry and the best Gourmet empanada shop is only a half block away!! The apartment actually looks better than the featured photos in the VRBO listing. I would highly recommend staying at this apartment with its perfect location and comfortable atmosphere.

A Perfect Choice

With so many properties to choose from, we are very happy that we chose this one. From the first email from Rob until arriving home, everything was perfect. We (3 adults) spent 7 days here and were very comfortable. The location of the apartment could not be better...taxi right out the front door, cute restaurant accross the street, the cemetery one block, the Recoletta street fair two blocks, laundry around the corner...everything you could possibly need is right there. The apartment was spotless and Harry was happy he had his sattelite TV so he could keep in touch with the news. Plenty of hot water, comfortable beds and linens. We would highly recommend this property and Rob to anyone and everyone and will be hoping to return for another visit soon. Rent this one...you won't be sorry.

After reviewing MANY apartments to rent during our stay in BA we chose this one and from the from the minute that we first contacted the owner, our experience was the best rental ever. The apartment is cozy,comfortable,quiet and very well appointed. I have rented with VRBO many times before and this is truly a home that is shared - not merely set up as a rental property. The view is amazing and looking over the cemetery to the Rio de la Plata is a great way to start the day. The location is perfect - close to grocery stores, shopping, restaurants, the cemetery, parks and that is just the beginning! This apartment is in a great area of Recoleta which is the best of the city (my opinion). The bus stops just outside the front door and taxis are in abundance as you leave the apartment. Rob is so helpful and a perfect "host" as he makes sure that your stay in his apartment and visit to BA is as good as it can be. The tour company that he suggested was very professional. I gave them information of my arrival and ideas for touring the city and they replied in a timely manner with suggestions and a quote. To sum it up, this was not just a rental, this was a very personal experience that added to the great time we had in Buenos Aires. I highly recommend this as a place to call home while in Argentina.

This two bedroom condo was in the perfect location to explore the best of Buenos Aires. The Recoleta neighborhood is safe, vibrant, and convenient to restaurants, cafes, shopping, and tourist sites. We especially enjoyed the view from the terrace overlooking the famous cemetary where Eva Peron is buried. The condo was comfortable, clean, and had just the right necessities to make our time in this beautiful city a pleasure. We would recommend this property highly.

My wife and I rented this condo in April--we had a fantastic time. The location, the views, the amenities-all were perfect. Rob, the Landlord, was most helpful with suggestions and went out of his way to make sure that everything exceeded our expectations. It was our first visit to South America and we would not hesitate to go back-- and when we do we will most likely stay at this awesome apartment. The building was quiet, the neighborhood was safe, transportation was at the doorstep and nearby restaurants offered awesome fare at a fair price--don't forget the Malbec!

08/09 We had a wonderful time as a family in Rob's condo. The children (ages 10, 5) enjoyed the guest bedroom and the nooks and crannys to play in! Location was great for walking to places and to get bus and taxi! Kitchen set up great! We cooked some nights! Great restaurants and walking nearby! Beautiful, but not so "fussy" that we had to worry about the children breaking things! We would stay here again!

This was absolutely one of our best vacations. It was a combination of a great condo/location, helpfulness of Rob (owner) and just being in BA during christmas. Rob greeted us on arrival and showed us the area as well as coordinating christmas eve dinner reservations for us was greatly appreciated...great customer service! We will definitely return to Rob's condo.

How nice to stay in a comfortable apartment with an owner who truly is concerned with your experience! I was so pleased to find a very clean unit with quality mattresses, a splendid view, and a completely outfitted kitchen. The unit is perfectly located with groceries, wine shops and restaurants practically at the door. del Pilar is very comfortable; Grants Buffet is wonderful and cheap; El Queso Queso is a local chain store with remarkable cured hams, marinated olives, cheeses and wines ... dont miss it!. One of my best visits to BA by far!

We just got back from a 10 day stay in this great apartment. It is located in a good central place to see all the sites of this exciting city. The apartment is very clean and spacious, and the owner gave useful tips on places to eat, shop and visit. It was nice at the end of a busy day to be able to come "home" and relax in the living room with a glass of wine. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends.

What a stunning view from the balcony, located in a great area. Enjoyed the market ea. Sat. & Sun. plus the restaurant right across the street. However, we did dine in a few nights after running about the city. The apt. is very comfortable and relaxing. The bedrooms very roomy with lots of closet space, The apt. was decorated beautifully, and I would return and want to stay there again. Up to date kitchen with everything we needed. I felt very much at home here, and the malbec wine delicious.

I stayed in this beautiful condo for 12 days in May 2009 and was very impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of the place. It really felt like I was at home. This wonderfully spacious and immaculately clean 2br apartment is located in a safe and fantastically convenient location in the upscale Recoleta area. We stayed 6 nights and had a great time exploring all that we could of fun Buenos Aires! Inexpensive taxis or buses are right out the door along with restaurants and internet cafes. The apartment is fresh and clean. It has a spectacular view of Buenos Aires and the River. On a clear day you can see the palm trees on the coast of Uruguay. Its an excellent location and near all the important sights: Evita's memorial is one block away near a beautiful park with a popular & wonderful flea market on the weekends and holidays. It has a nice kitchen, dining room and two comfortable bedrooms. There are two airbeds for extra guests. Its reasonably priced & you can visit anytime of the year. The owner is a 31 year veteran Delta Air Lines detail oriented international flight attendant. I really enjoy visiting the apartment because of its great location near everything: Recoleta/Palermo. The Buenos Aires Design Center & Village Recoleta. Eva Peron Memorial Site & The historic Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church. Many beautiful outdoor cafes & designer shops. Buenos Aires is an incredible city; the Paris of South America. Its an affordable & friendly city!
