The house was amazing and everything we hoped for and then some. Everything was so comfortable and easy going. We had absolutely no problems and made use of just about every convenience from the pool and outdoor kitchen to coffee on the front porch in the morning.

My husband and I, plus three additional couples, recently had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful home. The accomodations were stellar! The pictures shown are accurate, however, the home is much more than pictures could ever reflect. Each couple had their own bathroom which was a real bonus. The linens and towels were excellent quality and the entire home was very clean. All of the beds were very comfortable with high-end mattresses and pillows. I love to cook and found the kitchen to be very well appointed. The home is in a beautifully secluded area and just a short trip to the fun energy of downtown Austin. The front porch was a wonderful spot to start each day with a cup of coffee and large enough to serve and enjoy breakfast. We saw several deer walking around the quiet neighborhood. The master bedroom is spectacular, but there really isn't a bad room in the house. The home is designed in a way that offers many conversation areas. After a long day of taking in all that Austin had to offer, the hot tub was a real treat and being from Minnesota, a few of us even went in the pool! Dave, the owner, met us at the house when we arrived and answered any questions that we had. The Hill Country was a beautiful and safe place for us to ride our bikes and enjoy the incredible scenery. Wildflowers were blooming, longhorn cattle were grazing and the sun was shining...what more could you ask for! We're starting to plan our trip for next year and we hope this home will be available.

The house had a nice open feel with plenty of room to spread out. Great views from the front porch and the patio over the outdoor kitchen. Hot tub was great. Owner was helpful and wonderful to deal with. Highly recommend this property!

I recently had the pleasure of staying in this gorgeous Lakeway home. What I enjoyed most was the peace, quiet and privacy of this property. I really felt like I was "getting away from it all"! The home was well equipped, my bed was comfortable, it was clean, there were a couple of golf courses, markets and restaurants nearby. I just loved eating my breakfast on the front porch! Although I chose not to swim in the pool while I was there, it looked very inviting. I would definitely return!!!

My family and I spent the weekend in this Austin house. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there - the house was beautiful and extremely clean. We enjoyed the terrace and the pool as well as the outside grill. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a getaway in Austin.

This home is absolutely amazing. We were looking for a place for our family to go and hang out for a few days. Didn't want a large resort, but wanted all of the perks. This was perfect! The home is large, well kept, and clean. There was plenty of room for us to have family time together, or retreat to our own space to read, watch tv, etc. The pool is beautiful, as is the patio/deck area. We would love to be able to go back and visit again!

We had a small get together September 15-September 18 with our family (6 people). The listing description is to the point as well as the pictures. The property was clean and maintained. Questions to the owner were answered prompty when called (once during our stay). We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, the upper deck and cabana area. The bedrooms were comfortable. Yes, definitely we were satisfied and will be kept in mind for a return visit. All and all a great experience doing VRBO for the 1st time!!

We stayed 6 nights at this house and it was absolutely the best. It is a beautiful quiet residential neighborhood. It seems that you are far away from the city, but only about 10 minutes to the city. How awesome to sit out on the deck in the evening and watch the deer walk down the street and through the yards. WOW!!! The pool was great and accommodations were the best. We definitely would come back and suggest to stay here!!!

This home was beautiful and we were pleased with the spaciousness for our 2-family retreat. We had a wonderful time enjoying the home and the magnificent scenery. We would definitely return again. A couple recommendations I would make is to include a DVD player in the master suite (it had nothing except the cable) and update the current DVD player in the family room as it looked like an older version and had some skipping issues. We travel with young children/DVD movies so having players is crucial. We would have loved to have an extra bed comforter in the master suite as an alternate to the quite heavy comforter that is there. The master suite bathroom is beautiful and fit for a queen but we could not find any electrical outlets except for 1 in the closet and 1 right by the door! We had to take our hair dryers and hair equipment to a downstairs bathroom--we thought that was a little odd. We thought the outlets might be hidden somewhere in the countertops but we never found any. The kitchen had everything we needed for our family meals and was user/space friendly. We all enjoyed the grill/outdoor patio area and it was the perfect spot for adults to converse and yet keep a watchful eye on the children swimming. This entire neighborhood (the whole city for that matter) seems to be very quiet and laidback. It was few and far between that other neighbors were seen. Lastly, the pool was awesome and had plenty of room for everyone. The children loved the waterfall and we probably spent a good portion of our 5 days in that pool! If you like peace, quiet and privacy--this is most definitely for you. Overall, we enjoyed our stayand was a welcome relief to your tradtional hotel, etc. Home was clean and well kept as well. Thanks!
Owner response:Thanks David and I am glad you enjoyed the home! The electrical outlets in the master bath are in the 2 top draws by the sinks. Sorry you missed them. We hope to see you again soon.

This house and property offered very comfortable accomodations (memory foam on each bed!) and a wonderful kitchen for serving up family meals. We enjoyed the great pool, deck and and outdoor bar. We had wonderful star gazing on the sun deck at night and delightful mornings on the front patio. It was also very convenient to grocery stores. the Lakeway marina and the Oasis restaraunt area.

My family (myself and two brothers with our spouses) took my parents on a get-away for their anniversary to this wonderful home. We had such an amazing time! The area is beautiful (we even woke up to deers in the front yard!) and there were several really good restaurants close by. We went down to the lake one day and rented a pontoon boat for the day, which we all loved. The house is immaculate and had everything we needed. Having breakfast on the front porch was so quiet and relaxing. We would definitely stay here again. The only downside was that the hot tub was not working while we were there.

My friends and I needed a place to stay for a 4 day golf tournament that I host. I investigated several properties in the Lake Travis Area and found this gem. The pictures and description pale in comparison to the actual habitat. The pool area is magnificent and served our members well during the Masters Tournament and our own little tournament. Everything was clean, beautiful and had all the amenities of your own home. The beds were comfortable, the neighborhood quiet and the stay was very relaxing. I would highly recommend this house for a rental and the owner is very accommodating and cordial. You will not regret this heavenly rental if you need one in the Austin area.

This was a GREAT house for a relaxing weekend with my friends. We have a girls reunion each year, and this was our first VRBO experience. We will use VRBO again, and if we return to Austin sometime, we'll stay here! This house was wonderful with plenty of sleeping room and bathrooms. It was also very clean! The pool was relaxing and private. Rowdy groups need to stay away due to the neighborhood, but we didn't have that issue. It was quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed being so close to restaurants and shopping. Also, the outdoor grill area is great with a television. Would highly recommend this house!

This is an excellent place to stay whether for vacation or a weekend getaway. We were looking for a guest ranch first, but because we were two families, we figured it will be more advantageous and affordable to rent a vacation home. We were so lucky to find this gorgeous home in a prime area and when we got there we were impressed more by its neatness and cleanliness. Everything you might need in house furnishing and comfort is available. Besides, the scenery was great and the weather was mild even towards the end of December. We recommend this home to anyone who likes peace and nature.

We wanted a quick golf weekend getaway and we hit gold! The owner is an avid golfer and he gave us great recommendations of where to play, he also invited us to play with him at his own course only 1/2 mile from his beautiful home. If anyone else does the same my advice is; don't bet with him...We had a great time and the house was perfect for us. It had plenty of space and we couldn't have been more comfortable. We planned on hitting a few restaurants but the outdoor cabana made it easier to grill in and enjoy the pool and great backyard. It was too cold for the pool but we will be back again when the weather gets warmer. Take Dave's advice and play The Hills, it's an awesome course. Thanks Dave and we want a rematch!

This is an older home that really does not have a lakeview. It served our basic needs but could use some improvement in some areas. Not all of the beds are comfortable, there are no mattress pads on the beds, the sheets are very worn In fact, all of the linens and bedding need to be replaced. We were short on towels, there was no soap of any kind. The house has been renovated and is decorated nice and when the AC went out, the owner took care of it as quickly as possible. If the finishing touches were improved on or added, I'd stay again but for the price we paid, I could've stayed at the best hotel in Austin for less.
Owner response:We have had hundreds of guest and this is our first negative review. I would like to say I am sorry that this group was unhappy but I couldn't disagree more with much of her complaints. We will try and make sure this doesn’t happen again.

My parents, my husband & I and our 3 teen age girls stayed at this lovely home in August 2010. This was our first time renting a home through the internet and we were skeptical. Our experience could not have been better! The home is very well appointed with a fantastic setting and the girls could not get enough of the pool and cabana. The 2 master suites and 5 full bathrooms made it all very private and comfortable for all of us. We will be back!!!

The only problem with this house is that it is always booked:( Boo hoo. We stayed here in 2008 and loved it. I have checked many times to try and return but haven't yet found an open weekend that works for us. It is great great great -- especially if you have a bunch of mixed teenagers like we did. Two of the rooms are in their own private wing and can be closed off for privacy (where the girls stayed). The parents can go upstairs to their retreat and leave the kids alone to have fun watching movies in the living room or hang out on the deck with a beautiful view. A lovely home and perfect for families and friends. Just wish we could find a few days available to come back!

Think of the pool area as a totally enclosed, private courtyard. The rock wall at the back rises in xerographically landscaped steps towards the spa and higher. The house wraps two sides of the pool area, and the other side is flanked by the complete outdoor kitchen. A sunning deck tops the outdoor kitchen. The house is integrated around this "courtyard." The result is private, inviting, and relaxing. The web pictures do not actually capture this integration: you need to be there to sense it. All photos and descriptions were accurate, without fully describing the place. The decor is elegant, modern eclectic, continuous, and simple. Storage is plentiful, all systems worked perfectly - from pool to appliances, and the house was resort-clean. There are essentially three well-demarcated sleeping areas in the house. One "wing" has a separate suite of two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, ideal for a couple with children (all ages), though not limited to that. A master bedroom in the lower floor also constitutes a separate apartment, with its own bathroom. Finally, there is the large upstairs master suite, spacious, with a sitting area and office space, and that beautifully executed black subway tile bathroom, with a large walk-in closet. If needed, the large great room overlooking the pool can accommodate more sleeping. And of course, it has the fifth bathroom and a large walk-in closet. The house sits back into its lot with driveways leading to it, making the house itself removed and private from the street. The kitchen is comfortable, though the large island takes some room away from more than two cooks who want to simultaneously show their culinary talent. The location is ideal for boating and lake activities: a mile or less from the Lakeway Marina and Lakeway Inn facilities. Restaurants and shopping are available on nearby 620 and its feeds. Our only complaint is operational: previous tenants had not curbed the trash bins (which we did on the appointed day). We minded having to take two full trash bins out with left-over trash. This, of course, was a glitch in the cleaning service, not the house itself. Otherwise, the family and ourselves count our stay as truly memorable. We would, and probably will, contact the owners and do it again.

We spent Memorial Weekend 2008 at this oasis away from home and enjoyed it so much we returned for vacation in April 2009. We felt as though we were at a private resort, from the relaxation of the soothing, cascading waterfall at the outdoor pool to the solace of the front porch or rooftop deck for morning sunrise and evening sunset views. If you are as fortunate as we were, you will see deer crossing the lawn, passing through the neighborhood. We felt at home in this spacious house whether relaxing in the den in front of the big screen or lounging around the outdoor kitchen and bar. When wanting to venture out to eat we enjoyed choosing from a variety of restaurants at the nearby Hill Country Galleria, a shopper's paradise. Eventhough this home is in a great location, near the lake and Lakeway Resort and Spa, we enjoyed lounging around the house and pool most of all.

Every year 9 girl friends get away for the weekend our "Girls Gone Wild" we call it and let me say we have never had a property that compares to this home. Not only beautiful but everything we needed was there or close for things we had not counted on. 9 women, 5 bathrooms need I say more. This property is everything and more than described. We would definitely book this property again and tell you "What a FInd". Do yourself a favor do not pass this one up.

We were wowed by the home the moment we arrived. It was located in a very scenic and very hilly neighborhood. We were there with small children so we had to be careful when hanging out in the front and back yard (pool area) as there wasn't an enclosed area safe for kids to run around. But we really enjoyed lounging in the front patio area in the mornings and evenings. All the rooms were well appointed and clean. We stayed in the master bedroom upstairs which was gorgeous, including the huge, luxurious bathroom. The only thing we thought strange was the opening from the master overlooking the stairwell and dining area but there was at least no visibility from downstairs looking up. We loved the outdoor grill/bar area too. We would definitely stay there again and the owner was hospitable and helpful.

Went to Austin on business and needed a location to brainstorm and unwind after work. The home is outstanding! The website description is accurate the pictures alone can't give justice to this great home. The home and property are extremely well kept and the owner wonderful to work with. The location has resturants close to the home or you can be in Austin with a short drive. When traveling to Austin, I will make a point to return to the home. I can't imagine why one would want to stay in a hotel when you can have a home like this to yourself. The outside poolside entertainment center area and patio overlooking austin are a must see.

We had a group of friends that rented this home for the week of New Years and could not be more happy with the entire stay. The house is beautiful, but you add the view from the master suite and front porch and you can not get any better. It was too cold to be in the pool but we used the spa several times. The outdoor kitchen was also great, we grilled 3 different nights. If your going to Austin this is the place to stay, 100%. Not to mention how great the owners are, they were very nice. Met us at the house to give us a tour and were just a phone call away when we had questions. Thanks David for a great stay and if we make it back to Austin hopefully we can stay at your home again. 100% worth every penny.
