Our charmingly decorated 3 bedroom cozy condo features State of the Art Home Theatre System, walking distance to everything in Stowe, indoor pool and hot tub on site. Mega sized A/C too - but you won't really need it in Stowe.
Fun Additions to our baby - 50" HDTV with top of the line Blu-ray player and over 600 TV Stations - many of them HD. If you've been keen to see what these systems really look and sound like when you are able to pick and choose the video to watch - you must stay in the Theatre. Such fun - it's going to be hard to go outside, which is of course why you came to Stowe in the first place.
Unlimited FREE high speed internet access - with an iMac even - and it's Wireless. So bring your laptop - or use our computer - Too cool.

We're right off the Mountain Road - on the seasonal Trolley route to skiing, walking distance to shopping, great restaurants, and the Stowe Trail. On site there's an indoor heated pool, sauna and hot tub - plus a game room, sledding hill, and snow shoe trails. In season, there are 2 tennis courts, a volleyball court, BBQ grills, even a children's playground to enjoy. One of Vermont's top golf courses is within easy walking distance - plus of course biking, hiking, and 2 swimming holes. Guaranteed fun for everyone!
And the Theatre makes having a special holiday so easy. 3 comfortable bedrooms, (2 with Queen beds, plus our fun Kid's bedroom), huge screened in porch with views into the birches that fill our mountainside, but so very private. Our beautifully decorated, fully equipped and very friendly condo is halfway between the center of Stowe and the mountain. We've equipped our gourmet kitchen with high end everything - from the appliances to the utensils, plates, cups, and glasses. There's even a complete spice set for the chef in your group to enjoy. This delightful Mountainside Resort condominium is nestled in the trees of the charming mountain town of Stowe. We were pleased to find the condo’s location only a few miles from town and minutes from Stowe Mountain Ski Resort. From our pre-trip planning to our arrival at the condo, the owners were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful.
The "Theater in the Woods" was extremely comfy and had all of the conveniences of home. The foyer was roomy enough to accommodate a family of skiers and all their gear. Mama Bear marveled over the kitchen’s exquisite decor and all the wonderful cooking conveniences. Papa Bear loved the wireless Internet and the bear cubs enjoyed having the privacy of their own rooms. Everyone had a great time watching movies on the 50' HDTV Home Theatre System. The large screened-in patio was a nice touch and Baby Bear loved the swing! The pool and jacuzzi were inviting after a full day of visiting the famous Von Trapp Family Lodge and driving through the many of the area’s charming covered bridges.
In the historic town of Stowe, we discovered unique shops, boutiques and restaurants. We visited the friendly Stowe’s Coffee House (look out Starbucks!) and our favorite "Pie in the Sky" pizza joint, a must-stop dinner destination for this bear family. Plus, we enjoyed the ambiance of this quaint New England village by taking the 5-mile scenic recreational path which winds along the West Branch River. Whether you are into family dining, sightseeing, shopping, skiing or just relaxing, Stowe is the ideal destination. No matter what time of year you visit, you will treasure your stay at the "Theatre in the Woods"!

Why the Owner Chose Stowe
Stowe is one of the most beautiful, clean smelling, relaxing places on earth. Ok - I'm prejudice, but trust me - your family is going to love it too.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Relaxing in Stowe is one of the surprisingly easiest things to do in the world. It's not just about the awesome skiing and riding (although they are fun) - it's the atmosphere of the place. It's just easy living. And there are so many fun things to do. Not that I do most of them of course - I really just love to relax, hot tub, and watch movies. Sit on the porch rates pretty high as well. Must be I'm a country girl at heart - with a love of city amenities!
Our unofficial on-site restaurant - a local's favorite with great wings and potato skins. I'm particularly fond of the draft beers and the BBQ Beef Ribs!
Our mini village has great pizza, some fun shops including a wine and cheese store, plus the famous Shed Restaurant. All with-in 3 minutes walk - even for 3 year olds!
Quick shop for those last minute must have things, plus awesome sandwiches and delicious baked goods. You can even pick up a local (or not so local) newspaper.
5 minute drive - or take the free seasonal trolley. Ski and Ride to your heart's content in winter - take the Gondola to the top for an amazing view in summer. Or just hike the notch to the Long trail. So many choices, so little time.

The "Theater in the Woods" had everything that we needed for a comfortable family vacation. We especially enjoyed the feeling of being in a "treehouse" with the woods so close. The building was very quiet and the pool and tennis courts uncrowded. The compact three bedroom floor plan made good sense for our family of five. Leslie, the owner, was very attentive from start to finish. We made frequent use of the wireless internet with our own lap top. Overall, we had a wonderful experience in Stowe and the "Theater in the Woods".

Just thought we'd drop you a line since we forgot to sign the guest book. We really enjoyed our stay at your condo last week. The discounted rate was good for us too, since it was just my wife and I. It's obvious that you take great measures to make sure your guests are comfortable and we really do appreciate it. We once stayed at another unit in that complex and yours was definitely nicer. The staff at the resort were very accommodating as well. We have always loved Stowe and in the future we would definitely consider your place again. Thanks again. We had a nice time.

Took our 5 person family (three girls ages 11,9 and 8) for a long ski weekend. There isnt anything we needed that wasnt provided for us, everything we needed was there with an atmosphere that screamed "Welcome!" The pool, hot tub and movies were a huge bonus on the one bad-weather/non ski day and we enjoyed the condo and all of its thoughtful ammenities.

This was our first trip skiing on the east coast and definitely will not be our last. We absolutely loved Stowe and the Theatre in the Woods. The condo was so homey and comfy and newly and nicely decorated. We didn't get a chance to sit out on the screened in porch due to the time of the year, but I can only imagine how wonderful it would be in spring, summer or fall. One of the best parts of the trip was how much the owner helped us out with tips, suggestions for skiing, dining and other things to do is Stowe. It really helped out in us enjoying this great vacation spot!

We stayed at the Theatre in the Woods for 1 week in late August. We were 4 adults and 4 kids and we had a great time. The children really enjoyed the screened in porch/deck and so did we; it let the adults sleep in as they played there. The kitchen was fully loaded, which, when feeding 8 people, was extremely appreciated. The pool was used daily, as it rained most of our time there. What a vacation saver that was! We also enjoyed many a movie on the wide screen tv nightly. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely return if we ever vacation in Stowe again.

Nice condo with great home entertainment center and well equipped kitchen. Clean and well maintained. Nice screened in porch with ceiling fan - gives some extra space. A little small overall - wouldn't want to spend a lot of time indoors if the weather was bad, luckily we had good weather! Would recommend.

Just a thought on 'wouldn't want to spend a lot of time indoors' - the idea of having the awesome entertainment system (and the games, DVD's, etc.) is to make it fun if you and your family have to be indoors. And the pool is indoors - so weather independent. No condo - no matter how large or small - will completely make up for bad weather - but we've done our very best to make the Theatre a place that's fun to be in - even if the weather turns a bit yucky on you! - The idea is to have a fabulous vacation - And Stowe is just the place for it. Our family of four had a wonder time at the "Theatre in the Woods". The location was excellent being a short drive to both the mountain and the quaint village of Stowe. Some restaurants are within walking distance. The unit is well decorated and had all the comforts of home which made for a relaxing visit. Kids enjoyed the nearby pool - short walk away. Leslie is very helpful and will answer any questions you may have. We would certainly hope to return one day.

We stayed here for 5 days and had an absolute blast. The chalet was very clean, had all of the modern amenities (including satellite, a big screen TV, wireless Internet and a great sound system), the owner was very friendly and quite attentive to our needs. Would definitely stay again!

Our family LOVED our stay at Theater in The Woods!!! The unit was updated and very clean. The screened in porch with the porch swing was wonderful, especially on rainy days! The design of the unit is efficient in its use of space - the three bedrooms were great!. Everything that we needed was provided - nice towels, kitchenware, board games, books etc. The pool and hot tub at the resort were clean and very well maintained. Leslie is a pleasure to deal with and the owners obviously put a lot of love and care into this property.
