Our luxury condo is on the 12th floor of the Caribe Resort and features great unobstructed views of the Gulf. We pride ourselves on providing a rental property that feels like home--because this is our home away from home. It is luxuriously furnished--not a typical beach rental--which is why it will quickly become your home away from home!
The Alabama Gulf Coast is blessed with beautiful waters and pristine beaches and the Orange Beach area offers many things to see and do. We encourage you to visit and hope you will consider us for your lodging needs.
Our condo has three bedrooms and three full baths, assuring comfort and privacy for everyone. With a king, queen, two singles plus two queen sofa beds, there is easily enough sleeping room for 10. In addition to our roomy 1750 square feet of living area, our spacious balcony offers breath taking views to enjoy throughout the day and night. With Granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, our full kitchen is great for those gourmet meals or quick snacks. You will enjoy the ocean view from the master bedroom, a large Jacuzzi in the Master Bath, separate double shower, and a large walk in closet which even makes a great nursery with portacrib, if needed!
Caribe has all the amenities you would expect from a first class resort. Add in local attractions, great restaurants and water activities, and you have the makings of a great vacation.

We are retired in our early 60's and live close by in Daphne, so we can personally take care of our guests. We enjoy offering our "home away from home" to responsible parties and we have many repeat guests. We take pride in never having a guest disappointed in their stay with us! We hope you will give us a try.
Why the Owner Chose Caribe Resort
From the very beginning it was obvious that Caribe Resort would be a very specially place on the Gulf Coast and, as original owners, we wanted a spacious "home away from home" to entertain family and friends. We particularly liked the ocean view from our high, 12th floor balcony.

We had a wonderful time on our vacation! Steve and Fran were great to work with. They were very helpful in answering questions before we booked, while we were there, and even after we got home and I realized I had left some things unfinished! The unit was beautiful. We found everything to be as described on vrbo's website and the view was beautiful even though we were pretty far away from the beach. The kids loved the 6 waterslides available to them. The weather was unseasonably cool the week we were there, so it was really nice to have 2 of those waterslides inside! I would say that the walk between buildings to get to the different pools was a bit burdensome, but I think everyone thought it was worth it for the fun they had once they got there! We also thought it was interesting that the lazy river was only 18" deep. It worked out great for my 3 year old, but my 6' 3" husband found it annoying, until he bought a "lounge chair" float from the resort's "store" (after that he loved it!). The beach was nice - sugar white "squeaky" sand, and the water was clear. There were lots of fish - and quite a few fisherman fishing from the beach. We also found lots of shells. All in all we had a great vacation. My 5 year old asked if we could "live here" - that pretty well sums up how my kids felt about Caribe! I'm sure we will be back!
Owner response:As local residents living in near by Daphne, we enjoy helping visitors to our area with recommendations and the benefit of our experiences here, whether or not they become guests of ours. We also enjoy establising a relationship with our guests knowing that they will take good care of our "home away from home" and will likely return. About half of our bookings are from returning guests; some have been back with us for over 5 seasons! We do wish we could control is the weather, even though it is usually cooperates, but one of the great things about Caribe are all the indoor amentities for those days when it is a little cool or rainy. And we think our unit offers superior comfort and relaxation for enjoyment in all seasons and weather conditions.
Recommended for:Families with young children, families with teenagers.

First, the condo and the property were wonderful. Everything was exactly as described in the listing and the owners could not have been more helpful. We had a mechanical problem with a vehicle on a holiday weekend and not knowing who else to call, called Steve and Fran. They gave us recommendations and even made calls to friends to try to find us a mechanic. In the end the car was fixed and our vacation was saved. Fortunately, their condo and the rest of the Caribe resort needed no such help. The property is beautiful and well maintained - no mechanics required. We aren't able to comment much on nearby activities and attractions because we couldn't get the kids out of the pool or off the beach. We did make one day-trip to the Pensacola Naval Air Museum and I would highly recommend that, but really, there is no need to leave the resort. The Caribe has pools and slides all over the place. Between the lazy river, the pools and the beach the kids were always having fun. I am in the travel industry and we have gone on cruises, been to all-inclusive resorts, seen Punta Cana, Cancun, you name it. There was a unanimous opinion among my wife, kids, and grand-kids that the Caribe Resort is the perfect vacation spot and the best vacation we have had as a group. If you can, book this unit from Steve and Fran. You won't find a better unit, a better price, or better owners. If their unit is unavailable, come to the Caribe anyway and call them earlier next year.

Caribe Resort is a fantastic family vacation getaway and we are proud of our condominium complex and especially our unit. Since we live close by, we are available to provide better assistance and service when needed. We try to offer superior personal attention for all our guests so that they may have the best vacation ever. We want everyone to consider our unit as their "home away from home." Nothing gives us such pleasure as having our efforts recognized and appreciated as described in this review. This is what we are all about and we hope others will give us a chance, too.
