Nice little old fisherman house, entirely refurbished 3 years ago, owned by a family with 3 children. the village is very friendly, and family oriented. The beach is very safe for children, with beautiful white sand. The house is located only 200 meters away from the beach, it's walking distance, no need to take the car. Shops, bakery, available on spot. Local market every Sunday, very popular and crowded with typical French products, a lot of fish as well. The specialty of this part of Normandy is the Moules Marinieres, small mussels cooked in white wine with an onion, with a touch of cream (creme fraiche), that you eat with French fries: you are allowed to eat with your fingers, it's even recommended! The fish market comes every Friday morning during the high season and Easter holidays. Over the summer, from mid July till end of August, free concerts are organized right on the top of the beach. It's a great place where to be, not far away from the Mont Saint Michel, easy to drive to Caen, or to Cherbourg. You never get bored in Normandy, whatever the weather is like. You can go to Villedieu les poeles and visit the Bell manufactory, and many more things to discover; A whole listing of places to discover is waiting for you in the house. The house is aprox. 80 sqm, easy to clean, casual and has a very nice feeling. There is only 1 bathroom, but fairly big, with enough space for everybody to hang towels and leave their toothbrush; The shower is a "walk-in", big and spacious. Facing south, there is a big terrace, with outdoor furniture, nice place where to leisure with a cool beer after a long day at the beach or horse riding! The 3 bedrooms, located upstairs, are nice and tidy, with very comfortable beds. One bedroom as a double bed, the 2 others have 2 and 4 single beds. the kitchen has a gaz stove and electric oven, a dishwasher and a microwave, a fridge with a freezer, a coffee machine, a kettle, a juice maker and everything you need to cook, as well as plenty of glasses, plates, etc. Everything is brand new, including the washing machine and the dryer. Hope you will enjoy staying at our place, as much as we love going to our "bach" (kiwi expression for beach house).We do not accommodate for less than a week.
