Brief Description: This spacious five bedroom home is located just ten minutes from downtown Bozeman, and ten minutes from the airport! With gorgeous mountain views and a river in the back yard, what more could you ask for?
Bedrooms and baths: This home has five bedrooms and three full bathrooms. On the main level of the home is the master bedroom with king size bed and private bath. There is one more bedroom on this level with a queen size bed, and its own full bath out in the hall. Upstairs are three more bedrooms, two of these bedrooms have queen size beds and the third bedroom is set up with two twin beds. The three upstairs bedrooms share a full bathroom, with tub and shower, at the end of the hall.
Kitchen: This fully equipped kitchen has everything you will need to cook up some good meals for all your guests. In additional to all the cookware and serving ware you will need, there is tons of space to spread out if you are really cooking up a feast. You will also find a good spice cabinet and a gas grill outside for barbecues.
Dining area: There is a breakfast area off to the side of the kitchen that seats four, plus the dining room table which seats eight comfortably. Built in cabinets for dishes and a pass through between the kitchen and dining area make entertaining a breeze.
Living room: The home has two living areas for your group to spread out. Downstairs is the main living area, with some great seating areas to hang out, relax and talk about your days' adventures. Upstairs is a second family area that is set up as the "TV room" with cable TV or just another area to play games, read a book, etc.
Setting, acreage, views: River's Bend Retreat is located on an amazing three acre property just ten minutes north of Bozeman. With the river winding its way through the back yard, there is an amazing 500 feet of river frontage! Unobstructed views of the Bridger Mountains from the back deck is nearly all you see.
Services available: The rental rate includes a weekly cleaning. Additional housekeeping, as well as catering services can be arranged with a bit of prior notice.
Activities nearby: Besides fishing before breakfast, there is horseback riding, rafting, golf, tours of Yellowstone National Park, and everything that the towns of Bozeman, Belgrade, Big Sky and Livingston have to offer.
Closest town and airport: It's about ten minutes drive to the Gallatin Field airport, or to downtown Bozeman. Belgrade, which has quite a few restaurants and a couple good grocery stores is also ten minutes from the home. Livingston is 30 minutes away, and Big Sky is one hour from the home.
Other details: There is a telephone at the home for guests to use for local calls. No smoking is allowed in the home. No pets are allowed on the property or in the home. The home has a laundry room with a washer and dryer. It is very rare for a Montana home to be built with air conditioning; this home does not have AC. This home has a fully equipped kitchen, and includes good quality kitchen, bath and bed linens, and staples like paper goods, laundry, dish and hand soaps.

Year Purchased: 2006
Dan is a writer of both fiction and non-fiction works. Last year he published his first non-fiction book titled "The First 60 Seconds: Win The Job Interview Before It Begins." Dan spent the last year on a book and lecture tour, helping people to get back to work and learn to more effectively manage their career. He is an avid fly fisherman and splits his fishing time between the rivers of southwest Montana and southwest Wisconsin.
Why the Owner Chose Bozeman
Dan and his family had traveled to Montana frequently for vacation and were renting homes from Mountain Home. After a few years, they thought it would be a good idea to purchase a home, use it for our own vacation purposes, and to make it available for other families to use and enjoy. It was a great decision.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Sitting on the deck, it's easy to get lost in the majestic views of the Bridger Mountains while taking in the sights and sounds of the nature all around. The house has every necessary convenience and has living areas on two floors, which provides very different relaxing options and allows family members the ability to spread out. Most important, the house is set on 500 feet of the East Gallatin River, unquestionably one of the finest and mostly private blue ribbon trout streams in the country. It's truly one of the best-kept secrets in Montana, and the fish are huge. The close proximity of the house to the airport and downtown make it a perfect vacation destination.

"A Very Special Place" The River?s Bend Retreat served as home base for family and friends from all around the country as we gathered to celebrate our son?s wedding. The house proved to be the ideal place to meet our needs. With the large kitchen and upstairs kitchenette there was plenty of room to bake the wedding cake as well as prepare meals. There was space to gather in large groups and also space to spread out around the house in cozy, intimate corners. The river was an endless source of entertainment and the scenery was unbelievably beautiful. The house was conveniently located to both the wedding venue and to downtown Bozeman. We could not have asked for a better spot for this special time in our lives. I will forever be grateful to the wonderful staff at Mountain Home for recommending River?s Bend to us.

"Great fishing and beautiful scenery!" Our stay included a family reunion event so this house was perfect in that it had a large number of bedrooms and bed combinations to accomodate a larger group. It was quiet and comfortable with all most amenities. The nicely laid out kitchen had had most needed supplies and utensils. Long table in dining room is great for bigger groups We loved the large back porch with picnic table and the grassy lawn for kids games. Best of all this house is 10 paces (!) from the scenic East Gallatin which is a slow moving (in July) not very wide river that offers great swimming and fishing holes. Fun for all ages. Our group caught rainbows and brown trout using both fly and spinner gear. We kept a few of the bigger fish for dinner.

"Excellent Place to Stay" The house was accomodating, comfortable, and very spacious. Convenient to all local amenities, and the Galatin River outside the back door is a natural treasure that adds great value to the experience of staying at this location. I would rightly recommned anyone contemplating a trip to Montana to stay at this location and enjoy the great beauty of this relaxing site.

Great location, very well equipped, comfortable furniture, very well suited for four couples, pleasantly surprised at how well supplied with glassware, silver, plates etc, even some of the basic spices,sugar etc.
