The pictures do not do this home justice. Every bedroom is different, fun and amazing. The kitchen is incredible. My niece had her wedding here, and there was plenty of room for the family that came from out of state to stay. We had room to cook, eat and enjoy each others company. It needed very few decorations to have a beautiful and elegant wedding. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this home to anyone.

Winslow On The Shire! Perfect place for our first family reunion. There was plenty of room for our large group of 28 and accomodations were nothing less than perfect! The Winslow On The Shire was welcoming from the time you drove up to it, breathtaking when you entered and comforting and relaxing during our stay. Such a nice place , the veiws out of all the many windows and off the huge deck were just picture perfect. So much to enjoy during our stay.Town of Pagosa Springs so close, and all the activities to enjoy nearby, enjoyed! Our stay was plenty but not long enough , it was just like a home away from home.We hope to be able to return soon, our experience at the Winslow On The Shire was just awsome! Thank You.. for sharing your home !

I've stayed at Winslow on the Shire for a Mother-Daughter weekend retreat, and 2 other Women's retreats. We've also booked the site for our Daughter's UNBELIEVABLE wedding-so very magical! The newlyweds' first dance on the bridge above the Great Room as all the guests watched was quite a memory. We also used this site for our twin daughter's 16th birthday party. They both are hoping to use this site for their weddings as well. Our family LOVES this place. It is so large and roomy...yet it is as comfortable and cozy as can be. The owners have obviously spent much time and attention in their decor... the themed rooms are as beautiful as they are whimsical. The views inside Winslow as you move from the pirate's den and a knight room to a fairyland and hawaiin turret are almost as enjoyable as the views over and beyond the back porch. Pagosa Peak is right there! Winslow on the Shire definitely has something for EVERY member of the family. If you are looking for a truly unique vacation spot in the heart of the Rocky mountains, our family would send you to this spot every time:)!!

We so enjoyed our stay at Winslow Manor. We were there for Thanksgiving with three families, all with several children and the house was just perfect for our holiday. The kitchen accommodated the feast beautifully and there were so many games, pool table, areas to steal away for quiet and privacy and the quaint town of Pegosa Springs for swimming, shopping and eating out. Each of the bedrooms have a delightfully different theme and the grounds are sprawling with beautiful views. This is a great home for a retreat or family reunion as well. Quiet and comfortable, this home is a great destination for whatever your purpose might be. We would definitely stay again in the near future.

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!! We recently had the pleasure of staying at Winslow on the Shire and had an amazing time, far better than we had imagined. This home is the size of an enormous inn but designed and decorated to make you feel as if it's a warm intimate cottage. We were there during the fall/winter season so we were expecting to layer the clothing and stay bundled up throughout the entire trip. It was quite the contrary. The hardwood and tile floors are heated throughout which makes utilizing every spacious room comfortable and inviting. You can cuddle up and read by either of the 2 fireplaces for extra warmth although this place really never feels cold or uncomfortable anywhere in the house. Each room is fully furnished and decorated making you feel right at home from the minute you walk through the front door. The amenities are above and beyond anything we've ever encountered when staying away from home. Luxury linens, plenty of big fluffy pillows, down comforters and comfy blankets that you can easily take with you when going to watch your favorite movies in the family room. Several couches to curl up on or really large chairs for those less inclined to sit near others. Music can float throughout the house all day and night if you desire. Every room was immaculate, no dust, no cobwebs. Towels ready for use in every bathroom. Almost every bedroom has it's own bath and those that don't have access to one a few steps away. The kitchen and dining rooms are gigantic...the kind you can play games in...like tag or hide-n-seek. The kitchen is completely furnished with dishes, utensils and cooking pans to make any dish you desire, as well as 2 dishwashers so you don't have to wash anything. This house is exquisitely furnished, not like rental places that use their leftover pieces that don't fit anywhere else...but as if each piece of furniture was chosen for the specific room it was in. Each bedroom has a theme just as described on the website which makes finding the ones you love a bit easier to do. The house is set back off of the main highway so traffic noise is never an issue. While we were there we visited the Pagosa Hot Springs which is a great way to warm up when there's snow and ice on the ground. I would highly recommend going at least once. Winslow on the Shire was a fantastic getaway from everyday life. I would recommend this Inn to friends and family any time of the year. Weekend trips or for an entire week or two. GREAT

My family loved our stay at Winslow on the Shire. Your home is amazing and beautifully decorated. Although there were twelve people staying in your home while we were there this summer, it never felt crowded especially not in the kitchen which must be one of the largest kitchens I've ever been in. Also, thank you for taking care of the simple details as well such as providing towels for our trip to the hot springs. My kids especially enjoyed the game room on the lower level. We hope to be back soon!

This was our second stay at Winslow on the Shire. The first time we flew from Albuquerque, New Mexico, rented a vehicle and drove. This time we (our family of four) decided to make the drive from So Cal as we enjoy the stay here so much. We joined two other families with a total of 5 of us adults and 8 children. The place is so large that we rarely see the children except at meal times. We slept in the “Cumberland” and felt like a “king and queen” with the luxurious canopy bed and Jacuzzi tub. There is so much to do! The first night here, we missed out on going to the hot springs due to a late arrival, but the rest of the families went and enjoyed the time. Since there is so much recreation, the first day, we played Foosball and billiards with the children. Later my lovely wife and I played Scrabble near the roaring fireplace and reminisced about our first time here. It is so relaxing and a much needed retreat from the hubbub back home. Both fireplaces were roaring during our stay, and kept the place cozy warm. The kitchen and clean dining areas are wonderful for large family meals. At night, our families sat down with popcorn in the media room and took in a movie. Everything is impeccable and the proprietors are so responsive to our needs. During the stay we enjoyed, shopping in downtown Pagosa Springs for antiques, playing football with our boys, cooking with the girls, Bible study in the morning and catching up on reading. This visit has provided our families with memories that will remain in our hearts for years to come!

Location is not bad - 5 minutes from dowtown Pagosa Springs. Aside from there bieng multiple broken items (freezer, chairs, one non-functioning shower) the home is beautiful and worked very well for our reunion. Caretakers were very responsive but unable to resolve all issues. The house does not have AC - major downer when it is 80+ degrees at night. The price point seems pretty high for what the house is. Rented a similar one in OBX with more amenities for $.
