Good location about a mile to downtown, and walk to Lake Tomahawk. Generally quiet neighborhood except there’s a bit of a trailer park just up the hill and I don’t think a single car going up or down had a muffler, but they all seemed to own a barking dog. Property is as-advertised, although fireplace wasn’t working for my stay (not really needed though). Bed a bit squeaky but comfy enough. This would be a great option for a family as house was kitted out with toys and such for the kids.
Great new build house in an ideal location. Walkable to Montreat, walkable to downtown Black Mountain. Friendly neighbors. Well appointed, clean, kitchen. Second floor deck with mountain view. Fenced back yard, with firepit. This house is one of our favorite Vrbo stays.
This is our 4th time renting Saddle Up and we have enjoyed staying there every time. The house has lots of room and is in a nice quiet neighborhood and close to town. We plan on renting it again!
We enjoyed our stay! This house was clean, quiet, well stocked and perfectly located for hiking at Lookout Mountain and a quick evening trip to Asheville. There was plenty of space for 6 adults and we managed to park 4 cars between us without issues. Definitely recommend for a weekend mountain trip!
What a great spot for our family! We were in town visiting a number of family members in the area and needed our own space to relax and enjoy the mornings and evenings and sporatic moments in between. This house was delightful with more than what we needed and the location was perfect! Truly you can not do any better in Black Mountain!!
Our family of 4 including a 4 and 2 year old loved staying here! The kids enjoyed the toys and all the kid gear such as the books, plates and cups. I loved not having to bring a pack n play with me as the house had one. We cooked many meals in the kitchen and used the fire pit out back. The location was very easy access for our daily adventures to Moncreat, Asheville and Chimney Rock. Communication was easy and each of my questions received a prompt reply and if action was needed it was taken swiftly. Wonderful ownership. Thank you for making our stay so lovely. We will be back to stay again!
We had a wonderful stay at Saddle Up. The home is of good quality and very clean. The fenced yard is nice very guests with furry friends but the yard was a little small and I wish the lawn was a little better manicured. The home is close to black mountain (downtown area) which was convenient. The neighborhood immediately surrounding the home is quiet. Emily was amazing to deal with! She was very helpful and responsive to all questions and concerns. It is clear she wants her guests to have the best possible stay. Overall I highly recommend Saddle Up for a great place to stay if your in the Black Mountain area.
This is an attractive, clean property, convenient to Black Mountain and Montreat. It has a pleasant, fenced back yard with some views over the mountains. The internet connection was out while we were there but host was helpful to try to get it fixed and gave us a rebate for the problem.
This home way surpassed our expectations- beautiful, clean and the perfect place for our family special memories. The Saddle Up theme was so cute and each room was decorated nice. The outdoor living space and fire pit were so much fun! The hosts were super quick to respond and made sure all our questions were taken care of. We loved Black Mountain- super cute small mountain town and great location with restaurants and shops near by and a short drive to Asheville. We would defiantly recommend this property and plan to stay here again someday. Top quality VRBO!
As a group of adults looking for simply a location to be together the home met all our expectations with a well appointed kitchen, dining, and comfortable living space. We found ourselves starting each morning and regrouping each evening gathered on the comfy couches and chairs in the living room. The only criticism is that the beds/pillows were not as comfortable as other places we've stayed. This was a comment from all of our group. That would be the only thing we would change!
The owners did respond quickly when we ran out of coffee cups for the number of ppl we had staying... some showed up at our door an hour later with some coffee!
The house was lovely and just the right size for our group of 6 (2 families of 3, each with a Kindergartener!). They enjoyed the bunk beds!!!!
It was an easy drive or walk to downtown Black Mountain and hiking.
I also appreciated the owners help as I needed to update our reservation - they worked with us to help make the trip work!
Great property with a fenced backyard and pet friendly. The immediate surrounding area is maybe a little less than cozy but the price and quick access to Black Mountain shops is more than reasonable. Overall a very relaxed and quiet stay and we look forward to returning!
We all loved our stay here. It’s very clean, beautifully decorated, plenty of space, and great location. The kitchen was well stocked. My only suggestion is different mattresses since a couple people in our group said they were uncomfortable. Thank you so much for such a great place to stay! We really enjoyed our weekend.
When we first walked into this house, we immediately loved it! It’s clean and the rooms are a great size. We had a 4 month old with us and were so glad we could put his toys and baby stuff in the family room and we still had plenty of space for the adults. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning and listening to the quiet and the roosters. We appreciated the starter toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher pods and liquid, and shampoo and conditioner. If we had one complaint, it would be the plastic sheet on the queen bed. It would crunch every time we moved and it was hot. The king bed did not have the same issue and we didn’t use the bunk room, so I don’t know if those beds had plastic sheets on them. We definitely enjoyed this house and would certainly stay again!
