We just returned from our week long stay at the house. Our goal was to start of the summer with a nice relaxing week and this house was perfect for that. The location was perfect as the house is right on the beach. Each morning we had coffee out on the third floor deck overlooking the surf and enjoyed the easy access to the beach as well. We spent the majority of our time on the beach but when we ventured into town there were plenty of places to eat and shop.There were also places to rent kayaks, jet skis and paddle boards nearby as well. The house has plenty of space and each room is well thought out. Even though we were are party of two, it was clear to me the house would be ideal for a family rental as there are plenty of beds and bathrooms to accommodate larger groups. There is also a nice fully equipped kitchen and an outside grill as well. We were sad to leave as the week went by too fast. We already booked the same week for next year with the owner who was very helpful. If you are looking for a nice relaxing experience right on the ocean this house is a great choice.

New Years Eve at the Beach

While this was the 3rd time I have rented this house, this stay was the first offseason. We really enjoy the feel and layout of the house. This was an adults long weekend and dinner party on New Years Eve. That the house had no damage from the storm and the owner allowed us to renturn on short notice allowed for a great holiday weekend. Getting local seafood in surf city and enjoying the sounds of the ocean. Can't wait for the summer at the beach

Bachlorette Weekend

The beach has always been a special place for me and my friends. We have been able to spend a few weeks at the house with family over the years and when it was time for my bachelorette party the house seemed like the perfect place. We added a few more people but the house was very comfortable for our large party of 13. We had space to cook in the kitchen (that has been recently updated) and has a great view of the beach. The open layout upstairs allowed for all of us to be together. The large deck was the perfect place for drinks before dinner and to watch the sunset. The restaurants in the area are wonderful and were able to accommodate our large group. The location of the house and driveway made the house perfect for everyone.

Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

I have rented this property for 12 years. There has never been a time when some sort of renovation wasn't done. New windows, new paint, upgrade of kitchen, new furniture, etc. The list goes on. It is in pristine condition but very comfortable. One of the nicest things about the property is that you have direct access to the beach from the house. I love this property.

Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Fun on the Jersey Shore

You will not find a better place to vacation on the Jersey Shore. The house is very well kept, and is always well maintained and updated. A beautiful modern kitchen, t v's in the living room and in every bedroom, and a spectacular view of the beach and the ocean from the deck. And having your own private walkway down to the beach is the best. We look forward to many more family vacations on Long Beach Island.

The house is beautiful and spacious with amazing views! The beachy decor fits in well with the surroundings. It is in a great location, convenient to walk to town, and we loved having the private walkway to the beach. We definitely recommend this property!

Summer Traditions on Long Beach Island

My family and I have stayed at our “second home” in Surf City on Long Beach Island every summer for the past 13 years. The first year we stayed at the house, we celebrated our triplets first birthday party there. After spending that week at LBI, we knew we were hooked. The house is a fantastic place for adults and children to spend time on the beach or just relaxing in the house. Our perfect days at the beach house would start with breakfast in the fully updated and renovated kitchen. The morning would be spent only yards away sitting on the beach or boogie boarding in the ocean (all equipment included). Lunch would be grilled on the deck overlooking the beach and then the afternoon spent either back in the water or taking walk down in to Surf City to play mini golf or have ice cream. Late afternoons and early evenings were our favorite part of the day as we would sit on the deck and listen to the crashing waves and watch the sun dip behind the horizon. Fresh seafood and meats from one of the local markets for dinner or a quick ride to one of the many quality restaurants in the area capped the day. The many spacious and comfortable bedrooms ensured everyone was well rested and ready to start the perfect day again the next morning. We highly recommend this house.

A Thoroughly Enjoyable Vacation at the Jersey Shore

Being a person who is not usually interested in spending much time at the beach, I nevertheless went along with my family's suggestion that this house might be the perfect place for all age groups in our family. Well, that certainly turned out to be the case. Not only did this house meet my highest expectations, the location was beyond anything I could have expected. When we first entered the house, I was somewhat puzzled by the "reverse" structure - bedrooms on the lower levels, living area and kitchen on the top floor. However, once I reached the top floor, I knew why the house had been built so uniquely. The view from the uppermost floor was spectacular, whether you were relaxing in the living room, enjoying lunch on the spacious dining room table, having appetizers on the deck, or as was most often the case for me, cooking in the up to date and well equipped kitchen. Believe me - you are right on the beach! ... and that stretch of beach is beautiful, clean, well-groomed and not overly crowded. The sleeping areas proved to be very comfortable and convenient with more than enought room for our entire family - and the mattresses are excellent. What I found very helpful was the washer/dryer combo in the laundry room - very handy for laundry and wet towels, which you always have with young children and adults alike. A very unique feature (to me anyway) was the shower room outside the downstairs door. It is enclosed, has hot water and plenty of room to store towels and toiletries, and is the best way to leave the sand from a day on the beach outside. Wet bathing suits can also easily be hung on the outside clothes line. One of the special features in this house is the proximity to the beach. Unlike some of the other houses that I saw in the area, it has a private walkway directly to the beach. There are also sufficient beach tags for the whole family, ample beach chairs and plenty of sand toys for the kiddies. If you feel like leaving the sun and sand for a while however, there are many fine restaurants in every price range and culinary type both on the island and on the mainland close by . Mini-golf courses are within walking distance and a short crive will take you to an awesome water park. The house was very clean; all applances and amenities were in good working order; and I would certainly recommend this property ot anyone in my family who is looking for a truly delightful vacation.

Great Vacation Home

My family and I have vacationed here for 5 years and love and appreciate it more each year. The house is extremely well-kept, clean and full of amenities. Our family consists of 50-somethings, 20-somethings, and a 5 and 3 year-old and the house is great for all of us. The house is deceiving spacious inside; there is plenty of room, even when we are all there and have friends visiting. The main living level has beautiful, sweeping views of the beach out every oceanside window. There is plenty of room for everyone, whether it's at the dining room table eating or playing puzzles or games, watching a movie in the living room, or relaxing or taking a nap in one of the bedrooms. All of the furniture is very tasteful and comfortable. The kitchen is beautiful and completely stocked and who wouldn't volunteer to do the dishes when you get to watch a beautiful sunset every night out the window over the sink? Each bedroom has plenty of space for your clothes, comfortable matresses, and you can hear the ocean in each room while sleeping. There are three different outside deck/patio areas with tables, chairs, and lounges. Being able to walk to the beach on a private walkway is great and it's very convenient when you need to run back to house to get snacks and drinks. There are plenty of beach chairs for the adults and buckets and shovels for the little ones. Being able to clean the sand off in the outside shower is very helpful, as is being able to just throw the towels and swimsuits in the machines in the laundry room. The grocery store is just down the block and there are plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment choices within walking distance. The owners have thought of everything to make your vacation an easy, laid-back time at the beach. This isn't one of those houses where the owner feels the house is 'good enough'. Every year we are pleased by at least one refresh/ renovation that has been completed. When we needed to contact the owners one year about one of the windows, they were immediately responsive. It's absolutely clear that they love this house and want to keep it in tip-top shape.

I stayed here in 2000 with a big group of friends before being married with children. The house easily fit everyone comfortably with 2 bathrooms, a half bath and an outdoor (hot & cold) shower. The house sits right on the dunes with a private walkway over the dunes to the beach. The outdoor shower was a perfect for a return from the beach after a early morning surf. Though there was a nice kitchen, we did a lot of eating out during my first stay as there were plenty of restaurants and activities within walking distance. After having such a good experience in 2000, I decided to look into staying here with several of the same friends who now have families. Thankfully, the house was still available to rent. The owners have done a lot of updating to the house and were very accommodating. The house lets off a great beachy vibe with its decor and ocean breezes flowing through the double sliding glass doors that open to the spectacular ocean view. We even spotted some dolphins playing amongst the surfers at one point. For Memorial Day Weekend 2011 and 2012, we had 6 energetic children under the age of 8 and 8 adults. Each family had its own room. The house was perfect for the kids and the owner even had tons of beach toys, kites, puzzles and games for the kids (and adults). When they weren't on the beach, the kids loved the short walk to get ice cream, play mini-golf and make necklaces at a bead shop down the road. We also brought bikes and scooters that the kids were able to cruise around on just outside the house. I noticed plenty of spots to rent bikes and buggies just down the street (surfboard lessons and rentals too). With all the kids, I really appreciated having a washer and dryer in the house. The kitchen had been redone with beautiful granite counter tops, new appliances and plenty of cookware (our friend who is a chef really appreciated this). We also got a lot of use out of the grill on the deck overlooking the beach. There was lot of room for eating with the deck table and indoor dining table. The Adirondack chairs on the decks were the perfect place to sit back and enjoy a cocktail while taking in the fresh sea breeze (while the kids kept busy coloring shells they had collected on the beach).

Memorial Day Weekend 2012

I stayed at this property for Memorial day weekend in2011 also, I enjoyed my stay do much I came back. The house can easy fit 3 or 4 famies and has ample room for a comfortable stay. The house is clean and well maintained. I was happy to find the modern kitchen stocked with all the cooking supplies I needed and there are multiple refrigerators for storing frosty beverages. I have been coming to LBI since I was a child and am happy to be able to bring my family and friends to its pristine beaches. The location of this house is ideal. It is located in Surf City which is centrally located and close to the bridge. It's on a quiet street and the beach is clean and family friendly. One of the features of this house I appreciated most is its private access to the beach. It makes bathroom trips to the house a breeze and makes it easy to just leave your stuff on the beach all day. Its evident the owner cares about making his guests comfortable and want to come back which is exactly what I intend on doing.

Perfect

I moved to Virginia from Ocean County 6 years ago. When we found out my cousin was getting married in mid May we jumped at the chance to rent a house on the Island. This house was perfect!! So well equipped with everything you could possibly need to make a wonderful meal. The back decks look out on to the ocean and there is plenty of seating for everyone!! We enjoyed our time there so much. My cousin and his wife were discussing renting the house for the two of them. We also talked about all of us renting it again, because it was a comfortable, family friendly house. Staying in the house were myself, my husband, my mother and 2 of my cousins with their wives. We had plenty of room for all of us, plenty of indoor and outdoor space where we could be away from everyone if we chose to do so. The private walkway to the beach made nice walks so much easier!! I love where I live now, but I didn't realize how much I missed being lulled to sleep by the ocean. Everything is nice and close. A grocery store right around the corner, restaurants, shopping and activities are very close. All can be easily walked to. Also, with the house in Surf City, you are only on Long Beach Blvd for a mile or less, so traffic is so not an issue!! Dealing with the owner and his contact was so nice and easy. Very willing to answer questions, give information and very quick to respond to emails. I would highly recommend this house to anyone. It was beautiful, comfortable and you could not ask for a better view or easier access to the beach!! We look forward to coming back!

A wonderful Place to Entertain

My family loved the stay at this house. The direct access to the beach made getting the kids on and off the beach a treat. The house is very updated. A modern kitchen and BBQ on the deck helped with entertaining friends. We had 3 generations of family stay here and room on the deck for friends to stop over on labor day.

Summer Family Vacation

For the past eight years our family has had the pleasure of staying at this beach front home in Surf City. The direct walk way to the beach makes getting there some much easier with kids. Not to mention allows for the option of a quick lunch, nap or bathroom break at home with ease. The house has four spacious bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms which is ideal for the many family and friends that seem to come and go during our beach vacation. The amenities offered - complimentary beach badges, wifi, cable and phone make us feel at home. We especially like how the homeowners continue to make improvements to the house. Each year there is something new to enjoy from a remodeled kitchen, updated bathrooms, new furniture and more. Not to mention a great location in walking distance to the market, restaurants, miniature golf and all the beach has to offer. We highly recommend this property and will continue to come back from many years to come!

We absolutely loved this house. The pictures don't do it justice. The home is very updated. We had three family's staying there and our stay couldn't have been better. It was great to be able to walk right out to the beach, and watch the sunset every nite. Can't say enough good things about this property. We will definetly rent it again. Two thumbs up..
