  I thought the place was quit relaxing it was the nicest place we had stayed in. The price i thought was ok it was by far the cleannest place we stayed in. we would of stayed another night if we didn't have to go home but we know were they are located and we will visit again

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+.

  My wife and I would like to thank you for your hospitality and staying at your beautiful home on the lake. It was far more than we imagined. Very peaceful and quiet and the view of the lake was breathtaking. Janet was wonderful. the whole experience was excellent and hope to do it again in the near future. Thanks again.

  We are enjoying our final day of a pleasant week at this exceptional vacation rental. The unit is right on the lake with more than a 180 degree view of the lake. The small town of Lakeside is a short walk from the home and has pretty much anything needed while staying here. Swimming from the dock is nice this time of year. My wife and I are pleased with our stay and recommend it to all.

  I just returned from spending a week here with my family. Fantastic amenities with skiing (both down hill and cross-country) right in your backyard. We were looking for something close to the ski areas and this is just down the road from Blacktail Ski Resort, and a short drive to Big Mountain/Whitefish. It’s the best of both worlds – peaceful and serene but with quick and easy access to the outdoors. We visited Glacier and relaxed by the fire after a full day of exploration. The steam shower can’t be beat! We used it daily. The family is already talking about spending summer vacation here – too cold to take a dip in Flathead Lake this time but we will be doing cannon balls off the dock in August. Can’t wait to return!   The weather was beautiful so we took a road trip and discovered your place. What a wonderful setting and accommodations, we decided to stay extra days because of the location and reasonable price. We pan to return. (From Guest Book).

  There wasn't much I liked about this place - it was a place to sleep and very clean, and Janet was very nice. I never stayed in the Personal Residence, so I can't comment on that. I stayed in the 8 Room Motel, and was very disappointed. There should be pictures and a better description of the Motel. You just figure if the Personal Residence is that nice then the motel will be too, not the case at all. The motel you will be staying in is behind the big, beautiful house, on the shoulder of the main highway and you hear all that traffic, night and day. There is no air-conditioning, the walls are very thin, the water in the shower was hard to keep at the same temperature. Would I recommend - only if you desperately needed a place to stay and couldn't find anything else. It's hard to find a place for only a couple of nights in this area - most cabins you have to book for a week or more. The surrounding area is beautiful and I would like to revisit, but I will look harder for a place to stay.

  Owner response: These guests just came off a Cruise ship vacation, and expectations were maybe a bit too high. The motel has not had a complaint with the same manager for approximately 10 years. The motel is older...but it is very clean and neat. The motel should not be compared to the new Beach Suite - Vacation Rental which is very new, and of course more expensive than the motel and has a three night minimum stay. The guest did have the opportunity to stay at the Beach Suite - Vacation Rental but...chose not to do so. Since they had a choice their comparison is not fair.
