Our home is the top flat of a three unit Victorian in the best location of San Francisco, Pacific Heights. The flat is on two levels. As you come up the stairs you are welcomed in the foyer with an antique mahogany baby grand piano .
On the same floor is the large kitchen with an island, an elegant dining room off the kitchen which seats 10 with beautiful city views. On the same floor we have our son's room with a large twin bed, TV/DVD player.
2nd bedroom with a comfortable sofa bed, and a TV and DVD player, with beautiful views. Very large family room with an original fireplace, two sitting areas, one step up to a nice bar section which opens to a charming balcony.
Spiral stairs leads you to our shared and beautifully manicured yard. Our home has all the original details and is tastefully decorated and painted in earth tones. This home is known to be a beautiful flat with incredible character.
The top floor is a converted attic and has a relaxing bedroom decorated in whites and blues to promote a Greek setting, a charming bathroom, office area (Wi-Fi) and an exotic Moroccan/hookah room with dazzling decoration and amazing views!
The prestigious shops and restaurants of Sacramento street just couple of blocks and the famous Fillmore street is just a five minute walk. 10 minute walk to union street shops and restaurant, 15 minutes to Chestnut Street and the beautiful bay!
You can walk to the bay (20 minute walk) while passing through the famous Lyon steps which sits atop the palace of fine arts. from there you can enjoy the spectacular views of the bay, golden gate bridge, Alcatraz... walking down onto the beautiful Chrisy Field by the bay where you can reach the Golden Gate Bridge on one side and the Fisherman's Wharf on the other.
Upper Pacific heights is known for its upscale and very safe neighborhood, needless to say its proximity to everything. For the most part, you do not even need a car. However, by car or taxi we are five to ten minutes to all major points of interest in the city such as the famous Union Square, the Symphony Hall, opera house, MOMA, City hall, Asian museum, Golden Gate Park, De young museum...etc.
We also have a wonderful park three blocks with bay views and modern kids playground. The classic Presidio Library is also across the street. |
