The New Banana Cabana was designed and built with the beach vacation experience in mind and is ready for your visit! This beautiful house sits just steps away from the Beach Access at 28th Avenue and Palm Blvd and is dressed to impress. With its inverted floor plan, four levels of luxury await you including an elevator (to transport you and all your vacation supplies to each floor!), a gourmet kitchen, a huge great room with 14’ ceilings, two master suites, an activity room for the kids (or adults!), and a roof top covered bar and sundeck with great beach and ocean views! Everything you need for a perfect vacation – you won’t want to go home!
There are nine flat screen TV’s throughout the house, including the roof top bar and the poolside cabana. Traditional beach cottage heart pine flooring and wood paneling throughout. Granite countertops, designer bathrooms, fully stocked gourmet kitchen (bring your own food!), two levels of decks overlooking the pool, and more. There’s ample parking for 3 cars in the garages plus more on the driveways, washer and dryer, and enough beds to sleep 14 plus two more on the sleeper sofa.
There are so many things to do in this house you may not want to go anywhere else! The Cabana by the pool is fully covered and furnished and has its own TV and ceiling fan to cool you off; you can watch the kids and still keep an eye on the game. There’s plenty of room in the fenced back yard for the kids to throw the Frisbee and you can access the second floor activity room directly from the pool deck. Up one level from the pool, the activity room is a great place for the kids or the guest family to call their own. It has a 37” LCD TV, wet bar with drink chiller, card table and a foosball table. On the upper floor, you have wonderful views of the ocean from the great room and the kitchen with a 50” Plasma TV thrown in for good measure. Entertaining and meals for 20 of your friends and family is not a problem in this room. Also on the upper floor is the beautiful Master Suite with a whirlpool tub. Open the windows on each side of the room at night and let the cool breezes roll across the bed!
The coolest place to hang out may be the roof! Climb the circular stair to a covered bar and a huge sundeck. Sip your drink cooling off under the ceiling fan or while getting a tan. And just in case you’re interested, you can watch TV here too. The view of the beach is so good from here you can see the breakers and the strolling beachcombers. Entertain 10 or more people on the roof!
For the kids, the Isle of Palms Recreation Park is only one block away, directly down the street. Enjoy the basketball and tennis courts, softball field, great playground, large grassed yards for throwing the ball, and seasonal scheduled activities. There's also a ping pong table in the garage!
Bedrooms on the first floor include a Bunk Room with two bunk beds sleeping 4, a two bed Queen Suite sleeping 4, a second Master King Suite sleeping 2, and the sleeper sofa in the Activity Room sleeping 2 if needed.

What a great home for a week at the beach! We had a diverse group: 9 adults, 5 children, and two dogs. The location was PERFECT for us. When we were first looking for a rental, some family members were disappointed that the house was not oceanfront, but we ended up being glad we chose the Banana Cabana. It was a short walk to the beach--even 5 children (the oldest of which was seven) managed easily. The house was also close to the recreation park, and the kids rode bikes every evening to play at the playground. We were pleasantly surprised to find a dog park located behind the playground, so the location was great for all of us. (The rec park facilities were outstanding--athletic fields, tennis courts, playground, dog park, etc.). The house was beautiful. It was open, bright, and comfortable. The bar in the kitchen was great, because the kids could all eat there while the adults ate at the large dining table. It was great to have the pool at the house (with some kids napping in the afternoon, it was good to be able to leave the beach and come back to the pool). The only thing that would have made the stay more convenient/comfortable would have been a second refrigerator. Food for 14 people for a week just didn't really work so great in one fridge (we don't eat out much and cooked at the house all week). But we absolutely would stay there again in a heartbeat. The house was even better than we had hoped. The owner was wonderful to work with--communicated promptly and respectfully, and I just can't say enough good things about our experience!

Sad to say that our beach week is over. Of our eight houses that we have rented in the past Banana Cabana ranks in the top 3. The house was full of people, good food and memories. Suggestions may be to add a refrigerator in the garage for use by the pool beach travels or extra food storage. All in all the house and location was very pleasant.

We spent a week at both of the amazing properties by this owner, last summer, and we LOVED the houses SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much that we are planning on booking them again very soon. The houses had EVERYTHING you needed...and then some. The pool was incredible and the rooftop bar was THE place to be!! Our hats off to the owner for such great decorating and layout. We enjoyed having access to an elevator....with so many people along it made it helpful. The walk to the beach was pleasant and having so many things things to do in an hour drive makes this area PERFECT for families and couples.

My family stayed at this home last week. The home is perfectly located and beautifully decorated--and has absolutely anything you need for a quiet, relaxing vacation. Neighborhood is great for kids as there is no traffic from the main road. My elderly parents went with us and the elevator was perfect for navigating the floors. Ocean view from the deck is incredible! Charleston is an easy 15 minute drive, and is one of the most beautiful cities we've visited! The haunted carriage ride with Bob and Dylan is a MUST! Charleston comes alive in the evening and was a pleasure to behold...:)
