My husband and I wanted to visit California and experience as much as we could in the week we had. We stayed in this beautiful mountain/river house for only 4 nights of our week, and didn't want to leave. We enjoyed going to the Redwoods and did some hiking in the Six Rivers National Forest. Evenings were spent by the river, cooking and sitting on the deck. A beautiful home with a lot of beautiful scenery. We could not have asked for more, everything was as expected if not better. We would love to bring more family back to this area of Northern California. Thanks to the owners for the wonderful house and all the help with things to do while we were there.
Owner response:So glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at Trinity River Cabin. We agree, it is a special spot on the earth. Hope to see you again in the future!

The property is beautiful and well-maintained with a lovely view of the Trinity River and far enough from town for quiet but close enough for groceries and other necessities. There is a nice yard with river access, and when we were there in July, there were some shallow and sheltered areas appropriate for carefully-supervised wading and splashing at the river's edge. (But the river is quite fast, so this would NOT be safe for small children or for swimming.) The owners were helpful and friendly and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our stay and to answer every question we had. At the end of our stay, my nieces were begging to come back again next summer. (I meant to write a review earlier but better late than never...)
Owner response:Thank you for the nice review! We are so glad you had a great vacation. The river is strong in early July, but as the summer progresses it slows down, and the rocks in the middle create a protected area for swimming, of course we always recommend life jackets for kids and close supervision, kids like to dig in the sand so much they stay busy!We used to set up the sprinkler when they were small too and that is always a hit on a summer day.

A friend and I stayed with our 6 kids (ages 3-10) for three nights in early June. We wanted a quiet spot where the kids could play and we could chat. Although we had the maximum number for the cabin, we were quite comfortable and had sufficient supplies for bathing and eating. The new deck was quite nice, and we appreciated that a good portion of it was covered, as there was some rain during our stay but the kids could still play outside. I imagine this would also be a great shady spot later in the summer. The kids had a fantastic time playing by the river, which is just a couple of minutes walk from the cabin. Very convenient for bathroom breaks! There is a large sandy area perfect for sand castles and digging, plus several spots for collecting tadpoles and observing other wildlife. The owner responded promptly to all of our questions beforehand and returned the deposit within a week of our departure. She provided very clear directions so we had no trouble finding the cabin. If I didn't live so far away (northern Oregon), we would definitely return to this spot on a regular basis. I highly recommend it!

We rented last July and are looking forward to the summer of 2010. The house was just right for us and had everything we needed. We rented a raft and had a wonderful float. Saw an eagle! Quiet and peaceful, the water was great. I highly recommend Trinity River Cabin, and willow creek was a nice town, went out to dinner one night. Folks were friendly.

Absolutely loved the accommodations. It had everything we needed including a washer and dryer. Loved going down to the river to swim. We enjoyed our stay in Willow Creek and rafted down the river and saw the cabin along the way. We stayed there with our 5 children and it worked great. Our youngest is 5 and the spiral staircase did not pose a problem. I definitely recommend this cabin.

My friends and I had a great stay at the cabin during our fishing trip. We found it to be clean, cozy, functional, and well equipped. The steelhead fishing was pretty good where our group fished from Willow Creek to Weitchpec, and the salmon were in good numbers at Weitchpec with some showing up further upstream. The riffle behind the house was dead which really surprised us! We always seem to manage to catch a few steelhead out of it during the past 20 something years.

Trinity River Cabin was great. We stayed for one week. Everything we needed was available in the cabin. The surroundings of the cabin are very peaceful and beautiful, we saw deer everyday. The town is cute and the people are very friendly. I highly recommend this cabin. We will definately be going back.

We had a relaxing week. My husband played golf and I enjoyed the river, sun and reading. Saw some fishermen and wathced some rafters go by. I highly recommend Trinity River Cabin ( the photo makes it look more rustic than it is! )

This is the place I grew up, my father built this unique summer getaway, & I can't tell you how wonderful it is to see that other people now have the chance to enjoy the peacefulness of this house in the woods. I'll never forget the smell of the country, the warm night air, & the sound of the river flowing thru the valley. It is the most peaceful place on earth.

Trinity River Cabin is the perfect place to relax. It is a very comfortable house with a deck and a great view of the river which is beautiful and private. Willow Creek, a very cute town with a pretty 9 hole golf course, is a short drive away.

Trinity River Cabin is a quiet, peaceful, relaxing getaway with a spectacular view of the Trinity River. Our family looks forward to staying there at least once a year, if not more. The cabin is charming, with full amenities. It is an easy walk down to the river, where it is always beautiful and where the swimming is great in the summer!

Hi, the summer is here! April was constant rain, but now 2003 is looking like a great year, the river is full, the tomatoes are planted and the lawn mowed. The bathroom got a new floor this winter. We are ready for your visit!
