Our luxurious 1860 sq ft, 3-bedroom, 3-bath residence condominium located in the prestigious Honua Kai Resort & Spa has all of the indulgent amenities you could want. Just steps away from one of the top 10 beaches in the world, you will enjoy snorkling through one of the most stunning reefs on Maui just a few feet from shore.
THE PROPERTY
New! New! New! Honua Kai Resort & Spa is in the final stages of completion on the second tower...Konea. This is the first beach-front owned condominium complex (not a timeshare) to be built on Maui in over 20 years. Similar resorts on Maui are more than 30 years old. The Hokulani tower was completed in January of 2009 and is home to our residence. The grounds around Hokulani are fully landscaped including a full size pool, hot tubs and Viking gas grills. The second tower is in it's final stages of completion with interior work progressing at a rapid pace. Owners will be moving in begining January 2010. Our unit is completely isolated from what little construction noise there is from Konea. Between the two towers is a variety of adult pools, water slides, lounging areas and a kids pool. Next to the pools will be a "Dukes" restaurant, scheduled to open in the fall of 2009. To top it all off, the Konea tower will offer a complete spa and fitness center. For years to come, Honua Kai will be one of top 5-star destination resorts on Maui!
THE AREA
A local shopping center is within walking distance and includes restaurants, supermarket, video rentals, dive & snorkel rentals, and other specialty shops. Several oceanside restaurants are also within walking distance. A wonderful gourmet deli and sundries shop (see picture below of "Aina" market) is located in the lobby on the ground level. The charming port town of Lahaina is a short 10 minute drive away. A boardwalk now connects north and south Ka'anapali beach providing access to additional restaurants and the popular shops at Whaler’s Village in south Ka'anapali beach.
OUR CONDO
We have included all of the luxury amenities that you would expect of a top-of-the-line 5-star resort property. Forget sterile hotel-style cookie-cutter furnishings. Our interior designer handpicked the upscale furnishings with dining for eight creating an extremely comfortable, yet highly stylish Hawaiian feel. The granite gourmet kitchen with Viking appliances is to die for! The island bar is equipped with a utility sink and wine refrigerator.
Our unit is one of the finest available locations on the 5th floor with stunning views of the ocean and beautifully landscaped grounds from all rooms. The large covered Lanai (8' x 33') provides all-day shelter against rain, sun, and wind. The Lanai “glass wall” fully retracts expanding the indoor/outdoor living area for spacious dining and relaxing. Travertine marble floors with 9ft high ceilings and custom crown molding add an elegant touch. Concrete construction with sound dampening walls ensures quiet privacy.
Each of the two master king suites feature elegant bathrooms with marble shower, tub, and granite tops. Master Suite #1 has "glass wall" doors to the Lanai. The third bedroom easily converts to a king or 2 twins. The Heavenly bedding system (used at Starwood and Westin Hotels) was chosen for all rooms due to its plush comfort. Drift off to sleep in luxurious 600 threat-count linens with down comforters and pillows. Each bedroom has a built-in closet with shelves and drawers for easy unpacking and storage.

We take our time to enjoy all of what Maui has to offer...Whale watching (December - April) from the lanai. Chilling with freinds at sunset over Magharita's. Morning strolls on the boardwalk to Whaler's Village with a breakfast stop along the way. Grilling locally caught Ahi steaks on the poolside grill. Snorkling the wonderful reef just steps away, then sitting in the poolside hot tub...very relaxing. Walking to one of the many local restaurants for a fabulous casual meal. Shopping at the local farmers market. Cooking wonderful local fish, fruits, and vegetables in our gourmet kitchen (how convenient that our son is gourmet chef). Driving the Maui coast for uncompromising views of the ocean. The fragant smell of fresh Maui air. It gets even better...with so much to do, you can enjoy Maui at your own pace, taking in what you want, when you want.
Star supermarket, shops and services, local restaurants ... mexican, pizza/italian, sandwiches, island flavor.
Great snorkling around Black Rock. This prominent lava feature separates South and North Kaanapali Beach.
Shops, beach-side restaruants, convenience store, tee shirts, snorkel & dive supplies, activities center, sailboat trips, parasailing, etc. This is a great place to spend a day!

Aloha from Sandy, Utah. Our active life style includes skiing, hiking, mt. biking, traveling, and water sports. Mike owns a software company and is an avid photographer (some of his pictures are featured on this web site). I love to play tennis and snorkel the beautiful reef in front of our condo. For some needed and always well deserved "down-time," we head to Maui to chill.
