Why the Owner Chose Anderson
We vacationed on Hartwell in 2007 and just fell in love with the lake and area but we were very disappointed in the rental company and the condition of the home we rented. We thought we could do a much better job....so we did! We found this beautiful home in a perfect, quiet location. It had just been completely remodeled and was just what we were looking for. So we purchased the home and my wife and mom beautifully decorated with all high quality merchandise.
The Unique Benefits at this House
This area just seems to drain the stress right out of you. It is so beautiful and relaxing. We love everything about it. Sometimes we pack a lunch and go out on the boat skiing and boating all day. When we get hungry, we just pick an island to stop and have lunch. We relax on the beach and the kids(and dog)explore the island. And the mountain drives with the waterfalls...just unbelievable. You can really see God's hand at work here! We always hate to leave!

We are the Cochran Family. Rob, Kathy, Cody (17)and Angus (11 yr old Black Lab)and the Murphy Family (Rob's Mom and Dad). We own an RV Parts and Service Company in Central Florida. My mom and dad (Jack and Geri) are retired and also live in Central Florida. We all love the outdoors and love being on the water. Being renters on Lake Hartwell let us know what makes for a great vacation experience. This is a lovely and roomy lake house. The layout was perfect for us. It is well-maintained and very clean. The beds are quite comfy and everything was new! It is beautifully decorated and they have a well-equipped kitchen. The owners provided a notebook with information about the property and the surrounding areas. They even printed out maps to grocery stores, restaurants, the marina and provided maps of Lake Hartwell. There are steps down to the covered dock. There is a small fenced-in back yard and doggy door for pets--perfect for our little dog. They have satellite TV with lots of channels--both upstairs and down. We didn't watch much, though. We were too busy having fun on the lake! We grilled every night but the last one when we went to Anderson and had a yummy dinner at the Olive Garden. We'd love to return. I would recommend it to friends.

We spent alot of time making sure the details were covered and it really makes your vacation more enjoyable. We had a great weekend. Even with 7 children in one house. From ages 15 to 1year. The home is set up perfect for it! So neat and clean..the kitchen is great and has everything you need to eat in and make all your family’s favorite meals! The cove is quiet and fun to swim in. Great dock for boat and fishing off of...we caught a few big ones! We will be back for sure!

It's clean, set up great for entertaining, and worked well with all ages - from young cousins to grandparents. The steps to the lake are steep tho', so children need to be watched carefully, and some elderly or those with some disabilities may not be able to go down; but the owner was honest about that to begin with, so that was not a problem. Eight of my family members came from Florida, Michigan, and Indiana for my wedding. It was the best decision ever to rent this home for them! They stayed for one week (I stayed a little too) and had such a good time at the lake and in the house. It made their stay very pleasant and so affordable. My husband and I and another couple spent New Years Eve Weekend at this lovely home. What a wonderful way to bring in the New Year. The home is just gorgeous and the view of the lake from the back deck was absolutely beautiful. The perfect place to sit and drink your morning coffee, read a book, or just think. The home was spotless and very tastefully decorated and the kitchen very well appointed. If we needed it, it was available. You can tell that the owners take great pride in their property. It was too cold to take in all the fun the lake has to offer, but I can't wait to return in the spring or summer to go fishing, boating, etc. I will definitely return to this lakeside jewel!!
