Taking a new Marine to Jacksonville

The condo was spotless. Everything that you could need was available in the kitchen. The pool and hot tub were not useable due to a power outage. The storm that delivered the power outage shut down the whole town except for the pizza place that the owners reccommended. (Great pizza!). For a December beach trip we could not have asked for any more. I highly recommend this condo, especially in the warm season. The view of the pool is perfect, and the beach is in view and is a very short walk. If we go back to pick up our Marine, we hope to stay here.

The condo was extremely cute, and in a great location. View of both pool and ocean, and easily drivable to local stores and grocery. The owner was absolutely wonderful, and willing to work with us considering our reservations were booked right at the exact time hurricane Irene was going to hit the area. Owner kept in contact with us on the condition of the condo after the storm, and worked out a different payment plan since we were unable to stay at the condo during hurricane but staying right after. I would absolutely rent with them again, and will in the future recommend this to my family. Really cute, owner great to work with, and easy to set up! Thank you Kristin for letting us rent your home, we had a wonderful time and really appreciate a great place to stay during our time at home in the USA. Thank you!! Sarah

Unit was ready to go when we arrived at 3:00 PM. Super easy check in. No stopping at the realtor and waiting in line to get the keys. Well stocked kitchen with plenty of utensils. Great location on the north side of the island and a beautiful beach. We had no problems except one broken spring on the fold out couch which I fixed myself in about 30 seconds. No big deal. Everyone had a great time. I would have no problem renting this condo again. It had plenty of room for the five of us. Also for shrimp right off the boat go to Davis seafood in Sneeds Ferry.

DIRTY condo on arrival!!! Sleeping accommodations not as promised!!!! BEWARE!!!!

Check-in is 3:00pm & we arrived at 8pm to an over-flowing garbage can--Bud Light & pizza boxes on the floor, slept in beds & dirty linens in the living room. We contacted the owner & we were told cleaning lady is on the way...we waited for her for an hour & decided to go to the grocery store instead of sitting around in a dirty condo. We got back around 10:15pm still waiting to start our vacation...cleaning lady just got there. I made the kids go on the balcony to get out of her way (and she did not even clean the tub/shower in the master---cleaner was left in the tub) she left at 10:40pm---almost 3 hrs after our arrival---we did not have a great 1st impression but it only got worse when it was time to go to bed. The description says it sleeps 6 but we could ONLY sleep 3... the sofa sleeper mattress was falling thru the frame due to broken springs & the 2nd bedroom twin bed (closest to the window) mattress would drop to the box spring when any weight was applied to it----EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE!!! (you can acutally tell how much it sags in her photos, now that I know about it & know what to look for) We had to send the kids to spend the night at my cousin's house since the sofa sleeper was broken. The view was great but I CAN NOT RECOMMEND A PLACE THAT IS NOT COMFORTABLE NO MATTER how nice the view is. I took pictures of the completely worn out mattress & the broken sleeper sofa & sent an email to the owner of our concerns & the response I got was "I am sorry you did not have a good trip". This does NOT make up for us paying her for a place that sleeps 6 & only 3 could stay because of the HORRIBLE sleeping accommodations!!! If I were in a hotel I would have had them to move us because above all else comfortable sleeping arrangements should be a given! Thank goodness we had family near by that the kids could stay with. VERY DISAPPOINTED.......I have had several wonderful VRBO rentals but this is NOT one of them. BEWARE!!!!! The WiFi connection was VERY WEAK.

Owner response:Janet, We had a mixed up on cleaning and as soon as I was notified that the unit was not cleaned we had our cleaning person there, the reservation was made three days prior to arrival and I did not communicate your stay properly to our cleaning staff. For this I am very sorry. I was not notified of the bed situation until after your stay. I wish I would have known Saturday that you were unable to stay the unit. Again I am sorry you did not have a good trip and wish you would have called me Saturday regarding the bed so we could have taken care of the issue for you. I have learned in this business, sometimes you can not please everyone, I think that is true in this case. Regarding WIFI, I have not had any issues or complaints. We have stayed there numerous times and we have not had issues. Thank you for posting your concerns, Kristin

'Cute As a Button' definately describes this condo. The listing description was accurate, something we have not always found to be true. The condo was clean, well maintained, and the owners were very nice to deal with. We have stayed on Topsail before but would definately recommend this condo specifically, as well as the St. Regis Resort. Thank you Joyners for sharing your condo!

My family and I had a wonderful time staying in this condo. It was just as described and the photos were accurate. The property is clean and well maintained. The owner was very helpful with any questions that I had. I would recommend this property to a friend, and I plan to return next year. The condo is located at St. Regis Resort which is very nice.
