We rented The Cove for a birthday party/guys weekend, and the property and owners did not disappoint. The location and property are beautiful, and well suited to large groups. There is plenty to do in the house and nearby, and the house is clean and well-maintained. Most of all, the owners are easy-going and great to work with. Highly recommend!

My Mom and I took my two teenage kids and a few of their friends. The house was great. Nice and big and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the large screen porch and using the firepit at night for making s'mores. It is so nice that they even provide the firewood. The kids would drive into the Dells for the day, or visit the beach at Devil's Lake State Park, then return to the house for dinner and a campfire. In the meantime, we headed to Ho Chunk Casino and enjoyed some slot machines! The whole trip was very peaceful, and the rental rate very reasonable, especially if you have a lot of people in your group! Thanks!
Owner response:Exactly! To get to the Wisconsin Dells you go through Baraboo which is less than a 20 minute drive to all of the attractions but nice to return to The Cove to relax and clean up. Baraboo is a quant little town in itself. The home has all the vacation brochures you would need to ensure a great stay. Many of my renters come back year after year and some leave the deposit on the counter to ensure the same date!

We enjoyed the downhill skiing, cross country skiing, and snow shoe-ing at Devil's Head Resort, while staying in this beautiful home! The Cove had so many touches, provisions, and family entertainment and relaxation opportunities that I made a full page list of ideas that I am going to implement in our Colorado rental home. So, thank you for a wonderful winter get-away! We hope to stay here again, next time during the summer months as the back enclosed porch and deck looked as inviting for summer use as the inside was for our winter use. Our whole family loved our stay here!

Just stayed at the Cove for a long weekend. We had 12 adults ranging in age from 61-25 yrs. Also two grand children. We golfed at Devil's Head and Baraboo C C . Had a family reunion at Devil's Lake State Park. Went to the Wollersheim winery. Cooked steaks on the grill and ate most meals here. Several fine restaurants on other side of river by ferry. Also went to Durward's Glen (former monastery) and hiked the stations of the cross and had a picnic on the grounds. Very spiritual and relaxing. We recommend the Cove to anyone wanting to be "isolated" yet near many activities. DO NOT miss the ferry ride in Merrimac.

We rented the house last fall for a Girls weekend...owners are GREAT!!! Place is FANTASTIC. We are going back this fall!!! I highly recommend the Cove!!
