If you'd rather not spend $125 for a cheap hotel in a bad part of town, and need simple, cute accommodations, then come stay in the bedroom and bath in the lower level of my house in a quiet, safe, pretty part of town. Bedroom has cabin-like wood walls and decorated with cute colors, and has a separate entrance for your privacy. You have a mini-fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee maker, and a small bathroom with shower, toilet, and separate sink just outside the bathroom. Has a desk, little table to eat at, and another table/ chair set on the walkway when you want to sit outside.
Gets nice light and is cute! Laundry available for stays of one week or more. On many major transit lines, and a 10-minute walk to many shops/ cafes. $65 a night, lower rates based on stays of 2 weeks or longer. $50 one time cleaning fee.

Also renting large 2 bedroom/ 2 bath house with views, yard, covered outdoor patio, wifi, laundry, DISH TV, off-street parking, baby grand piano and all amenities, as well as professional interior design and great natural light.
