i found this place online, the owner was very prompt in answering my question, this condo had everything we needed, only a 5 minutes walk to red hook, where there is plenty to do there checkout duffy love shack, awesome, also the marina at the bottom of the hill is great did a day snorkel trip with new horizons, awesome jeff and bob was great, i look forward to returning to st thomas and using this condo again, met some of the full time owners very nice people.. thanks dawn we had a great time there,,
Owner response:Great ! The convenience of the marina right there makes it so nice to take a little day trip and the companies there are very nice as well. Glad to have you back any time.

My girlfriend and I recently visited St. Thomas for a week, and this was the perfect spot! Sapphire Beach is one of the best the Virgin Islands has to offer. The condo has everything you'll need. What a view to wake up to every morning! And what a bargain!! Can't say enough about the place. There's a pool literally feet away from the doorstep (although we were at the beach most of the time). The bus system picks you up a minute from the condo door at the entrance of the resort. Red Hook is a half mile ride (don't walk it) from the property. Overall wonderful experience. We will be back!
Owner response:Thanks for your kind words. We will definately have a place for you for your next stay. Hope to hear from you again soon.

I LOVED this place and its location. And Dawn (the owner) was very helpful and nice. She answered my million questions before arriving to the rental. The process of renting the studio was fast and got my deposit back right on time. The weekend that i stayed at this place was amazing. The apartment was very clean and appropiate for 2-3 persons ( 1 queen bed an 1 sleeper sofa) The view from the appartment is incredible, and its located @ redhook, where you will find very nice places to eat. The ferry toTortola and St Johns is 1 minute away from the studio. Sapphire beach is beautiful, and if you like snorkeling and swimming with fishes go to Coki Beach. You will find tax-free shopping at Amalie. (nice jewerly and cheap liquor and wines) If you have the time go to St Johns with your car ( you can go with your car for 50$ roundtrip) ,go! the beaches are astonishing. If you are looking for affordable and relaxing vacations, this studio is the spot.
Owner response:Thanks so much for your kind words. In addition to the wonderful snorkeling at Coki Beach, Sapphire Beach also has amazing snorkeling as well and right from the beach !

condo is high up on the cliff looking down at sapphire beach. The walk down to the beach is about 5 mins and isent that bad, but the walk up gets old really fast. The beach itself is ok. Offers good snorkeling but thats about it. No bar, restaurant, just a dive shop if you want to rent things. The condo itself is clean. Offers a bed, a couch, some cable tv(when it worked),all the cooking and glasses you will need, and the best part was eating on the balcony with some good views. I was extremely dissapointed to find out that we only get 2 towels and 2 hand towels for two people for 7 days(thats just crazy). Also was only provided 1 roll of toilet paper.whatever we made it work. taxi to red hook(town) and ferry to other islands is 8 buck for two people and is a 5 min ride. If you wanted to walk its about 15 mins down a crazy road but we did it! pros: location to redhook, good views from balcony, clean and cheap.... cons: few towels, sapphire beach offers no food or bars, air cond. is loud, people around you are loud, needs up dating. cable and phone worked sometimes.. We had a great trip exploring the islands. This is a good rental for people who are active ,dont want to spend a lot of time inside, and on a budget.
Owner response:Sorry about the towels, but we do not provide daily maid service only check out cleaning. There was a laundry room at the resort for your use, if you needed fresh towels. Bar and restaurant is open at the resort that you were staying in Sapphire Village, but only a small snack bar/restaurant is open for lunch at Sapphire Beach Resort. It is a little walk to the beach, but the views up on the hill are amazing. Pool right outside your door is convenient as well. Phone and cable is spotty on the island, sorry about that as well. Can't help you about the other guests being loud. We try to take care of all issues in our control when we are aware of them as they occur and not after.

Recently traveled to St. Thomas for a trip with my friend. Never had been to an island before and was a little unsure as to what to expect. The owner e-mailed us several times before our rental to answer all of our many questions. We even spoke on the phone as well. They were great and took a lot of time to ease our fears. The unit was just perfect, pool right outside our door. It was clean and had all of the things that we needed. Quick walk down to the beach and marina. We even took a day trip out on one of the boats there to go snorkeling. I would recommend this unit to anyone with just two people. Thanks for everything.
Owner response:Thanks so much for the kind words. We try to make your vacation a pleasant experience. We would love to have you or any of your friends back here or to any of our other vacation properties.

Sapphire Beach and the resort where your condo is located is the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. The condo itself was well-appointed with everything that we needed. It was a short trip to Red Hook to shop for groceries, since we didn't want to leave the resort area. The bar and restaurant was the best place that we ate in St. Thomas, as well. Very pleasant service, beautiful views to wake up to in the morning, and such a safe atmosphere. The owners were kind enough to be flexible at the last minute with our overnight dates, as we traveled during the post-Christmas blizzard. I can't say enough about the ease of renting this condo or the beauty of the resort. We had a fabulous time and cannot wait to return!
Owner response:Thanks so much, we are glad you had a wonderful time. We would love to have you as return renters to St. Thomas or any of our other properties in Myrtle Beach, SC or on Lake Erie in OH.

We so enjoyed our stay at the condo in Sapphire Village. Just got back last night and our vacation was too short. Sam, the owner's agent in St. Thomas, was very attentive and responsive to our needs. Absolutely gorgeous views and the condo was quite sufficient. Great rate for the off season and very close to shopping and the ferry docks. Nothing like waking up and seeing the crystal clear surf below. We will return again, thanks so much.
Owner response:Glad you had a great time. Welcome you back any time you like. Thanks again.

I had the pleasure of staying at this studio apt for the past month while I interned at the hospital, and I have nothing but excellent things to say about my experience!!! The apt was adorable, decorated with an island flair, and the large pull-out couch was perfect for visitors that stayed the night. The view from the balcony is breath-taking, and I felt very safe in that it was a gated community with a guard. The pool is literally right outside the door, and the beach was an enjoyable 5 minute walk away. I wish I could have stayed longer, and I highly recommend this apt to anyone who can stay here. Thanks for a wonderful place!!

I wondered what was going to be wrong because the price was low. The condo was very clean, kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals, and comfortable. I was snorkeling at Sapphire Beach and came upon a school of large angel fish that came right up to me! Safari taxis (open air tourist vans) let you travel the island for $1 and $2 each way, so we did not need to rent a car. This condo is close to waiting for them. I did not want to drive on the left side. The driver provided to and from airport was wonderful! Restaurants are expensive but there is one there on the property with a small bar. The swimming pool is right outside the condo. You will get a workout walking around the property. The view, and weather, was outstanding! We took a St John Champagne Sailing Cruise which was the highlight of our trip. I cannot wait until I return again next year!
Owner response:We're glad to hear your had a great trip. We'd love to have you rent from us any time ! Thanks !

If you're looking to get away from the hustle of the city and just relax while trying to get a real feel of a different area, this place is for you. It's not fancy. But it's perfect to reconnect with yourself or a few good friends. Plus, when you wake to the Caribbean Sea to your left, you don’t want to spend time in the room anyway. You basically shower (nice space, but limited hot water), get dressed (full-length mirror and sink outside the shower facilities, so multiple people can get ready at the same time), and sleep (sheets and pillows were musty, so this is where I docked the place points). The walk to the beach from the condo is nothing, but walking up the hill on the way back is a great workout. And you're close to Red Hook, where you can take a $12 ride boat ride (one-way) to St. John for a wonderful day trip. (Snorkeling at Trunk Bay is a must!) For two bucks, you can take the "safari" to the market and get food (condo has a stocked kitchen) or shop in busy downtown where all the huge cruise ships port. And if you go during Thanksgiving, you can catch competitive basketball at the Paradise Jam on the university's campus. Aside from the basketball, I preferred to chill on the near-private beach and snorkel in St. John. After a week, I felt refreshed and overwhelmed with beautiful memories with my girlfriends. My soul thanked me for it.
Owner response:thanks I wish I would have knowed about the sheets we would have replaced them thanks jeff

I enjoyed Sapphire Beach Resort so much. The location is one of the best on the Island. Walking distance to Red Hook. That is where ther is shopping, dining and the ferry to take you to St. John. There is a marina located on the grounds with jet skis, fishing and outer Island excursions. Everything is just minutes away. I can't say enough. The owners representaive was the nicest. Very helpful with picking me up at the airport and the return as well. Thanks again, Lisa from Lake Tahoe
Owner response:thanks lisa it was very nice to do business with you thanks jeff

For the price this place can't be beat. It has the GREATEST Views of the ocean and near by islands. The condo it self is not the most up to date decor, but it is clean and comfortable. We are the type of people that go on vacation to see the sights, not spend our time in the room so this place was perfect !!! The beach was very beautiful and very private. We could leave our "stuff" on the beach and snorkel and no one would bother our things. We felt very safe and secure on our beach. We went to a public beach and left after an hour because it was sooo crowded and we had to keep an eye on everything we had. I do recommend renting a car so you can buy groceries and cook some of your meals. Going out to eat and groceries are VERY expensive. You can walk to Red Hook it is only 20 min. walk. In Red Hook "Fat Boys" have great burgers !!! We have been to Oahu twice, but I liked St. Thomas better. The scuba diving, snorkeling, and views are so much better. Sapphire Village is clean and quiet but there is the nightlife if you are looking for that too just over in Red Hook. I highly recommend this condo for the reasonable price and priceless views !!!! The owners were very polite and answered any questions that we had.
Owner response:Thanks, We're glad you had a great time !

I have stayed in this condo every year for the past 3years sometimes twice/year...it has a truly amazing view of the Island, the beach,St John and at night to sit on the patio and relax is breathtaking. The condo itself is clean, well kept and great service if there were any problems at all they were adressed and resolved immediatly. Location is perfect you are close to all ammenities and if you do not wish to rent a car you can grab a cab or dollar taxi. You will stumble over the hill to beach or pool within 2 minutes. This is truly a great, reasonable and economic place , the owners are wonderfull to deal with.
Owner response:thanks they have been great renters thanks again jeff
