Eleven days of peace, quiet and spectacular beauty. Six of us rented the cabin as base camp for both ocean and river fishing. What a magnificent spot to begin and end each day!

This was a wonderful place to stay. It was very clean and comfortable for 6 adults and could easily accomodate more. We all loved our time in Anchor Point and Homer and just wished we could stay longer. The view was spectacular until the clouds came in and covered the mountains across the inlet. But then the local view of eagles, porcupines, sea otters, and moose became more evident. I recommend this property to everyone who has asked about my trip to Alaska. The owner was very helpful in working with me to find a time that fit both of our schedules and provided me with clear instructions on finding the property and all important information. There is also a great book at the cabin that provides some wonderful recommendations and information on both the local area and Anchorage. Our only addition to their recommendations is The Local Cafe and Pizzeria in Anchor Point. Food was great, made with fresh ingredients and the owners are very accommodating. Overall experience at the cabin in Anchor Point was exceptional.

Rustic Cabin in Anchor Point

I would recommend this Cabin in Anchor point to anyone. Great view and ambiance. This is the best cabin for any group fishing out of Anchor Point or Ninilchik. It is far enough from the road to be private and still have good access. Every thing is clean, modern and in good working order. If I could improve on anything, it would be to have window blinds in the lower bed room. We will stay here again! Pete, Salt Lake City, UT
Owner response:Pete, Glad you enjoyed. You are right about blinds in downstairs bedroom we will get them installed.

Great spot. Terrific sunsets and view. Can watch fisherman on boats reeling in king salmon from the living room. Peaceful spot with lots of bald eagles. Have seen several moose and had a black bear on the deck.

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin overlooking the inlet. It has incredible sunsets and is very peaceful and relaxing. Its also a great base camp for fishing and boating out of Homer and hiking in many areas around the cabin. It is also very safe being above the water rather than right next to the shore. Saw moose almost every day. I highly recommend this property!

We have spent many times at this beautiful and private retreat overlooking Cook Inlet and Mt. Iliamna. It is a perfect place to relax, read, paint, explore, play cards, and just hang out. The scenery is spectacular and it is fun to watch out the picture windows with panoramic views. Eagles soar overhead and the last time we were there, May 26 -29th, 2008, we saw a cow moose with twins and a black bear! Great wildlife viewing and birding. Lots of fishing opportunities at the Anchor River or out of Homer. I would highly recommend this very special place to anyone who appreciates privacy and the beauty of Alaska.
