The Sea Gull is a romantic oceanfront cabin in the heart of "downeast" Maine. This charming cottage sits near the edge of a large protected inlet off of Blue Hill Bay/Eggemoggin Reach. The cottage looks across the bay over to Brooklin, a community well known for its boat building, and is near the quaint village of Sedgwick. It boast impressive views, and is surrounded by pasture on one side, flowing green grasses and shade trees to the other, and woods to the back. Its location offers peace and privacy, but is also a perfect launching point to enjoy the entire Blue Hill Peninsula, Deer Isle, Stonington, as well as the Bar Harbor/Acadia region.
The Sea Gull is nearly a century old family built cottage with a large living room with extended area serving as a sleeping area (queen size bed), both overlooking the gorgeous stone fireplace. A smaller, separate bedroom with twin bed is off the main living/sleeping area, as is an adorable eat-in kitchen, full bath, screened in porch and deck. Both the screened porch and large deck afford classic views of this quiet harbor. The cabin is equipped with essential pots, pans, dishes, microwave oven, full-sized refrigerator, drip coffee maker, china, glassware, and table service.
Major attractions, including Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, and Camden, as well as Bangor International Airport, are within one hour's drive.
