Why the Owner Chose Menehune Shores
We found ourselves in Kihei on our first "family" trip to Maui. We really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere, the proximity to the airport and Kahului, as well as easy access to the whole island. Menehune Shores 114 is blessed with daily tropical breezes, beautiful views of Lanai, Kahoolawe and the Pacific Ocean (you can't get much closer!), and the relaxing sound of the ocean lulling you to sleep, all on a well-maintained property. Just to be sure this was the best possible condo, we kept looking while we were in escrow (and even after), but nothing else came close!
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
Menehune Shores 114 is an ocean front ground floor unit, so...no elevators to hassle with! Enjoy whale watching from the spacious lanai, along with turtles and other sea animals. Take long walks on the beach in either direction. Want to snorkel? There are plenty of good snorkeling spots just off shore, or take a short boat trip to Molokini. Learn about whales and other sea life "next door" at the Hawaiian Humpback Whale Society, or relax on the quiet sand beach. Check out the ancient Hawaiian fish pond with its calm waters, enjoy the soft grass, play shuffleboard, or swim in the heated pool (all on-site). Cook dinner on an oceanfront barbecue and enjoy it outdoors at the picnic tables, on your own private lanai, or in the dining room. At night, let the ocean lull you to sleep in one of the 2 oceanfront bedrooms. This 3 bedroom unit sleeps 6 to 8 comfortably. Menehune Shores 114 is the closest unit to the ocean, on a property much closer to the water than others in the area. The perfect place to unwind during your wonderful stay in paradise!

We have made many trips to multiple islands, first as a couple, then as a family. Over the years we found that we loved Maui the best...as they say "Maui No Ka Oi!" (Maui is the Best!) We started to look at property all over the island during every visit. When we found Menehune Shores 114, we knew that we had found our own personal paradise! Aloha All, This is an amazing place to stay. We were there four days last week (9/15-9/19) and had an amazing time! The best part about this condo is being able to fall asleep listening to the surf and wake up listening to the same then taking morning coffee on the lanai looking out over the bay. What an incredible scene! I can only imagine how much more amazing it must be when the humpback whales are in town! The condo itself has everything one needs to have an enjoyable "stay at home" vacation. Plenty of beach equipment that we used. :-) Also, it is centrally located in Maui making the entire island accessible within a couple hours. Thanks Jim and Audrey for sharing your condo! "Home Away from home!" "Prior to sealing the contract, the owner fielded all of my questions, remained in touch, and provided additional insight relative to touring the Island--"Sage advice" to say the least. Upon arrival, the first word I heard from my kids was "Wow"; followed by, Dad you got to see this--the Condo was/is peaceful. I took the owner's advice to heart and toured almost the entire Island. After our daily activities, it was nice to hear the kids say, "ahhh were home". I could provide you with all the adjectives, but none would suffice. If you're thinking of renting, stop wasting time, this Condo is it. Ideal location, spectacular view, and AWSOME owner. This condo gave the morning cup of a coffee a whole new meaning, and a pleasant dream every night Not only I would strongly recommend this condo to a friend, but I will stay there again and again. After all, it is home away from home. My utmost gratitude to owner and family for their tremendous hospitality. MAHALO"

My family and I stayed in unit 114 at The Menehune Shores condo complex in Kihei Maui. There were 5 adults, and two children. The condo has 3 bedrooms, a large living room, decent dining area, and a small kitchen. We had plenty of room for all of us. The master bedroom with king bed was a good size, and had an ensuite, with toilet, sink, and walk in shower. It had an ocean view. The second bedroom, which also had an ocean view, had a queen sized bed, with a full washer/dryer in the closet. The third bedroom was on the street/parking side, and was a good size, with a queen bed as well. In the mornings it would get a little noisy on that side, when the caretakers started their cleanup....oh well, the place is immaculate!!! The lanai had enough room for the table 4 chairs, and 2 lounge chairs, and had a perfect view of the pacific ocean. It also opened out to the grass which was great for my two kids (3 and 5 years) They could go outside anytime and run around. The pool deck was great, clean swimming pool..beside the bbq's. The grounds at the menehune shores complex are immaculate. We also found the condo to be very clean, and had everything we needed (beach mats, a body board, lounge chairs, beach ball......) all dishes, coffee maker.... Very quiet, only heard people outside one evening, but didn't hear much over the sound of the waves :) This condo was great for our big family, and I would recommend it to all my friends and family.

We had a terrific time at Menehune Shores #114. The view and ocean breeze were incredible. My family stayed here for a week in mid-July 2007, and we'd love to come back. The condo is spacious, and it is located very close to private little beaches. We especially enjoyed lounging out in the pool. It felt like we were at our home away from home. If you have the choice between a hotel and renting a condo like #114, choose the condo. It is really much more intimate, and cooking home-made meals will save you some dough. Thanks for such a great vacation getaway!
