Located at the end of the road on a hilltop over the Pacific, and in a particularly private part of Manuel Antonio, Casa Maravilla offers seclusion at it’s best, while being ideally located halfway between the adjoining towns of Quepos and Manuel Antonio. The Manuel Antonio Nation Park and it’s multiple white sand beaches rimmed with pristine rainforest, are the treasured jewel of Costa Rica’s park system and are less than 5 miles away while Quepos, with it’s wide variety of shopping, restaurants, bars, Casino, markets, and sport-fishing fleet is less than 5 minutes in the other direction.

The home itself is most accurately described as a work of art and is considered among the finest of the custom homes in the Manuel Antonio area and is built entirely out of Almond Wood. Fine craftsmanship and loving attention to details are evident throughout the house, which makes it a pleasure to experience. The large swimming pool with its expansive decks was designed by an award winning Architect for outdoor relaxing and entertaining, and is perfect for hosting groups or parties. Casa Maravilla is also specially designed for the varying weather of the tropics; to be suitable and comfortable for enjoying every day, season, or mood. The 30-foot high hardwood ceilings provide excellent ventilation, and sliding glass doors all the way around, allow you to either open the home completely to the fresh pacific breezes by day and the sounds of the jungle at night, or to close it up and enjoy the experience in fully air conditioned comfort.
You will enjoy every unique room of this tastefully decorated home, each having a private bathroom, 4 having private terraces, and three have their own kitchenettes. Every room is different and some are truly unique, like the 20-foot almond-wood catwalk, suspended through the center of the home, which leads to an all hardwood master suite, of which the entire front wall is a plate glass window facing the Pacific.

We had a group of 14 (6 adults, 8 kids ranging from 2 to 12) who stayed at Casa Maravilla for one week. This was seriously the best vacation any of us has ever been on. The entire staff was amazing and made the week completely stress-free. Susan the concierge is great and Chef Ronald and his assistant William were absolutely wonderful. Like most people who stay here, we never even ate at a restaurant once we sampled Ronald's cooking! The house is GREAT for big groups and especially for kids--they just hung out at the pool and outdoor area the whole time. One family had a car and the others did not--some of us hiked to the amazing local beach but we got around fine with taxis or tours picking us up. This house has an amazing view of the sunset as well. I can't say enough about Casa Maravilla and the whole staff--it was perfect.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

What a fantastic introduction to paradise! Costa Rica is beautiful, Manuel Antonio is so friendly, warm and inviting. Casa Maravilla is a wonderful vacation spot. A respite for much needed rest and relaxation. The fishing is incredible. The Canopy Tour, amazing! Superman rocks! Thank you Susan, Ronald, Miguel and all the staff for making our family vacation absolutely perfect! We will return! P.S. When Susan tells you no need to go out Ronald is amazing- believe it!! This was our first time visit to Costa Rica and we hope it will not be our last! We had the best family vacation- EVER! Casa Maravilla is absolutely perfect and is gorgeous. I want a pool exactly like this- plus the view! Our family of 13 was perfectly comfortable. We want to take Ronald home with us but his family would come after us. This was our second trip to Casa Maravilla and I didn't think anything could ever top our first visit in 2009. I was wrong, we had an even better time, if that's possible. Everything went smooth from the booking, to working with our wonderful concierge manager (provided with the house). Everything from the pick up at the airport to dropping us back off at the airport was perfect. The staff is wonderful and accomodating, always present, however never intruding. There are no words to describe how wonderful our meals were, prepared by wonderful Chef Ronald. He alone makes the trip worthwhile. The house and grounds are so meticulously, its about as close to paradise as I have ever been. There is no doubt another trip to Casa Marvilla is in our future!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.
