Our Family Fun Condo is a spacious 1500 square feet, well appointed, 3 bedroom, 2 bath unit. The main living space is a great place for friends and families to hang out with each other, watch movies, eat a fun family dinner (large antique table seats -12 adults), or play games. Snowshoe, cross country ski, mountain bike, or hike right out our back door. You can ski all the way down from timberline lodge (a little over 3 miles) straight to our back door. We are 3 - 20 minutes from all the local downhill, Mt. Hood and on the west end of Government Camp Road, walking distance to Mt. Hood brew pub.
The Thunderhead is a Historic Lodge that used to house the one and only Tram, (in 1950) carrying folks up to the Timberline Lodge. This 11 unit Condo was converted in 1980, and has the only geothermal pool up in Government Camp (heated year around). Our unit is on the first of 3 floors and looks out over the pool with a gas barbecue on the back deck available for your use anytime.
The 3 bedrooms have 2 rooms with a Queen Bed,& a really great Bunk room (sleeps 5), a pull out Queen hide-a-bed in the living room, and it’s own Laundry Room. Downstairs in the common area is a Recreation Room with ping-pong, pool table, TV, and foosball. A great place for older and younger kids to get away from the parents, and for parents to have some quiet time.

- Mountain View : out back of building on second floor...also a night view of Ski Bowl Ski/Recreation Park from living room. All decks are open to all who stay at the lodge. Go to the back deck and watch your kids on the sledding hill!
- Ski-In : The Fusion Pass Bus goes right by the front door of the lodge. They will pick you up on your way to Ski Bowl. Or you can ski down the road and be at Ski Bowl in minutes.
- Monument View : View of night skiing area---Ski Bowl out the main window overlooking the pool. It's a beautiful sight with night skiing.

- Pool heated close to 100 degrees year round. The Pool can be viewed from our living room windows. Open the window and tell the kids they need to come in for dinner... This pool is the only pool in town that is heated like a hot tub. It is truly wonderful!!!!

- Kid Friendly : Toys, recroom, pool, make it a kids paradise! We ready prefer to have families stay at our place. IT's a perfect set up for two families with kids.

- Near the Historic Timberline Lodge, Ski Bowl Ski Area & Adventure Park (summer), Mt. Hood Meadows ski area (12miles). Government Camp is the only Alpine village on Mt. Hood. This town is really the only place to stay that is above 4000ft elevation. Unless you want to stay at Timberline Lodge, which is a hotel, Government Camp is the place to stay on the MTN!!!

After the Polar Express train ride at Mt Hood we stayed here for skiing and SWIMMMING (yep, swimming in December). The place is amazing and the lodge manager is so very nice! Everything we needed for our 2-night stay was here. Accomodations were comfortable yet very nice, the games room was a lot of fun and we LOVED having a snowball fight while swimming comfortably in the geothermal pool! I had never seen such a thing but we have decided that we need to get one after we move to Ohio next year. Our family is large so we always rent a vacation home rather than paying for two hotel rooms and this place was very well priced. Thanks a lot!

This is a very nice place for family and friends. We had a blast the weekend of July 16th and 17th, 2010. The decorations are rustic yet refined. A fantastic place to enjoy the time with your family and friends; great kitchen and open space. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a MT Hood place to stay. The pool is great for the kids and adults alike. It is a MUST STAY place on MT Hood. Thanks again Debbie !!!!!
