We welcome you to spend your vacation in this newly renovated home built in 1868. Once referred to as the "Zeigler Double House", this house is situated two blocks from the town square and is within walking distance to dining, antiquing, shopping, and the theater. Nestled one block from Baltimore Street between the historic GAR building and a beautiful bed and breakfast. We have all you need to feel right at home.
Relax in the front parlor or enjoy your supper in the dining room where you will find enough seating for eight. Bake cookies in the fully appointed kitchen or just grab a cup of coffee and relax at the breakfast bar. Rest easy and have a good night sleep in one of the four bedrooms each appointed with new thick mattresses, fluffy pillows and cozy bedding. Two of the bedrooms have a queen bed, in the third bedroom a full bed and daybed, and in the fourth is a snug nursery complete with crib and changing table. There is also an inviting office space with internet access, so, if you must work or just want to catch up on your email, you can bring your laptop and stay in touch with the folks back home.
This is our second home in Gettysburg, we live right outside of town, so if you ever need anything we will respond immediately. We take great pride in our old “Double House” and welcome only guests who are willing to respect our property as if it is their own. This is why we will rent only to families or couples. Please do not inquire if you intend to use our home as a “party pad.”
We provide kitchen towels, bath and bed linens. First aid supplies, feminine hygiene and paper products. The property will be clean upon your arrival; however, there is no daily house keeping service. Therefore, we respectfully request that you maintain the home in a neat and orderly fashion and that you wash any dishes used in the kitchen and spot clean when necessary. |
