Pictured is Captain Dave's Cozy Cottage centrally located on the east shore of beautiful South Lake Leelanau. This 1200 square foot spacious cottage, Unit #9, located at West Wind Resort with it's 400 feet of lake-frontage and private harbor, accommodates up to 8 guests. It is perfect for summer vacations, year around getaways, as well as a cozy hunting cottage. The lake has 23 miles of crystal clear water to explore and enjoy. It is ideal for swimming, fishing, ice fishing, boating and water sports plus.
West Wind resort is centrally located on the Leelanau Peninsula, and has spectacular sunsets. It is a short drive to downtown Traverse City, Suttons Bay and Leland, where you will find wonderful shops, dining, theater, wineries, art fairs and much more.
The spacious resort property offers a playground for children, basketball, volleyball, horse shoes and plenty of space for other activities. There are 3 shared fire pits located on the waters edge, as well as a gazebo. Unique to the property is a private, protected harbor with a boat slip for a small boat up to 20 feet, and parking for your boat trailer. For larger boats you will find accommodation only one mile south of the resort.
Please refer to the Vacation Rental Features list to see information specific to the cottage. There are 2 queen beds, 1 king bed, and a trundle bed (sleeps 2). We do provide linens for beds -optional. The cottage has been recently updated with leather furniture in the great-room and has a northern, cozy cottage motif.
