Relax on the deck with it's view of the Fenwick Lighthouse and let the world roll by. Choose the covered porch in front or the sun deck in the back. From either it's only a 5 minute walk to the sandy beaches of Fenwick Island and cooling your toes in the Atlantic Ocean or a block to Ocean City, MD. Enjoy the new house with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and plenty of open space. Full kitchen and an outdoor gas grill.
We are 15 minutes from all activites in Ocean City, MD such as bike week, sunfest, hotrod week and all the rest.
Don't want to cook, there's plenty of food within a short stroll. Pizza, Ribs, Crabs, Ice Cream all between you and the beach, so it's all really close. Dunkin Doughnuts down on the corner and Fisher's Popcorn just across the street.
There's miniature golf and a water park down on the corner as well. Plenty of shops to browse in and another restaurant on the canal. Walk to the Ocean City bus stop and for a buck ride all day. Take the bus to the Ocean City boardwalk and amusement park. Lots of good old fashioned fun down there. Enjoy the bustle of Ocean City by day and come back to the quiet of Fenwick Island for the evening.
Want to go outlet shopping in Tax Free Delaware? There's three large outlet malls in Rehoboth Beach just 30 minutes north on Rt. 1. Lewes, just north of Rehoboth Beach is an excellent quaint little town perfect for a little day trip.
Fenwick's beach has life guards on duty, is quiet and not at all crowded. There is also access to a large state park beach just north of Fenwick on Rt. 1 with plenty of parking. The park has life guards, showers, restrooms, snack bar, and umbrella rentals.
Things to do in the Fenwick Island area.
Fenwick Island is called "The Quiet Resort" and consists of about 14 blocks. The shops, restauraunts, stores and activities are an easy walk from the house. The town hall has a good playground, a basketball court, a shuffle board court and a picnic area.
Watersports - charter boat fising, wind surfing, swimming, crabbing, clamming, boating, kayaking, jet skiing, sailing, sport fishing, beachcombing, surfing, and shelling.
Golfing - Bear Trap Dunes (Ocean View), Salt Pond (Bethany Beach), Cripple Creek Golf and Country Club (Dagsboro), Kings Creek Country Club (Rehoboth Beach), Old Landing Golf Course (Rehoboth Beach), Rehoboth Beach Country Club (Rehoboth Beach), The Rookery (Milton) and Sussex Pines CC (Georgetown).
We've lots of activity all around us. We go to the action when we want, and leave it behind when we're done. No wild parties outside our door when we want quiet. Yes, we have a great place here and I know you'll love it as well.

Why the Owner Chose Fenwick Island
Originally this property held a 10x50 trailer that leaked all the time. We decided it was time to upgrade and built the house. We did all the finish work ourselves and have been steadily adding little touches here and there. Fenwick Island is in a great location. It's just inside "Tax Free" Delaware and just across the street from Ocean City, Maryland. Easy access to the outlet stores to the north and the famous Ocean City boardwalk to the south.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The house is open and airy, the decks are warm and comfortable. The Fenwick Lighthouse is just across the street and is a wonderful sight as you sit on the deck and enjoy your morning coffee and evening beverage. A very short walk to the beach and on the corner there are two mini-golfs, go-carts, Ice Cream, Popcorn and much more.

A new job brought us to Delaware in 1997 and we quickly found the beaches after that. Dennis is originally from California and says that the "locals" are much more 'laid back' than the people in California. In no time at all we fell in love with the beaches, the people, and the relaxed lifestyle down here.

We stayed at this beach home for the Labor Day weekend. Upon arrival the home was clean and very nicely decorated. It is evident that the owner's take pride in this property. Our small group of adults had a wonderful weekend eating out at nearby restaurants and taking daily walks to the beach. The house is located close to the beach, a short walk away. Thank you for allowing us to rent your well-appointed and comfortable home. We hope to do this again in the future.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We've been looking forward to this vacation for a very long time. My husband kept saying don't get your hopes too high. This beach house was everything they portray and more. The location was as described. The property was nicely landscaped and well maintained inside and out. The kitchen items including the pots and pans were of good quality and you would not be afraid to use them. The house was immaculate and very charming. The owners were friendly and very helpful, Though we did enjoy our time at the beach, we spent a lot of time at the Delaware State Park and Assateague National Park. Miniature Golf was abundant as were many quaint garden and gift shops. There was a beautiful bike train just behind the Rehobeth Outlets and it was an easy ride even with young teenagers. I would certainly recommend this property to friends and family, in fact, I already have.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

This is a beautiful home, fresh, clean, and well cared for. Lovingly decorated and maintained. Very comfortable furniture, home has lots of ammenities. Well equipped kitchen. Short walk to beach, but can be a little challenging with very small children due to having to cross Rt 1, but not impossible. Traffic noise of Rt 54 slows during night, but still present. Really nice home, great owners to work with, very reasonably priced for all the extras offered with this vacation rental. Highly recommended.
