We were fortunate to find this amazing log cabin and beautiful property for a family gathering to celebrate an "early" Christmas. It would be hard to adequately list each perfect part of our stay at this magical property. The cabin is beautiful and every detail is thoughtfully chosen to make visitors feel at home and welcome. The grounds are maintained in beautiful condition and our family enjoyed taking walks together around the property. Our stay at this wonderful cabin will always be treasured as the early, "special" Christmas for our extended family. Lifetime memories were made in this special cabin. We simply cannot think of a better place to spend Christmas or anytime around the holidays. Thank you Nancy for making this our best family vacation.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We've visited this cabin a few times, and it's just wonderful. Beautifully decorated with little surprises and lots of loving care. There is plenty of comfortable sleeping space for 2 or 3 families to have privacy while sharing a weekend together. I could sit on this porch drinking wine for hours!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

We really couldn't ask for a better setting for our recent family get together. This log house feels more like a home, and it's obvious the owner has furnished it with much love and care over the years. The bedrooms are spread out - loft, main floor and finished basement...so everyone always felt like they had plenty of their own space. The gourmet gas range in the kitchen was really nice. And the kitchen itself met all of our needs, cookware and utensil-wise. Our dinners lasted for hours due to the incredible view from the very open and airy dining room. And speaking of the view, it's almost everywhere you could be. The dining room, living room and two bedrooms have the mountain scene out their windows. And the western facing sitting porch is the place to be to take in the full mountain expanse. Watching the clouds rise from the valleys between the mountains was really something else! The grounds were nicely maintained, with a meadow-like feel that leads down to the corral where the residents llamas live. We were fortunate enough to also have several visiting ponies in the fenced off wooded area next to the steep, long and winding driveway which leads to the main road. No traffic noise...just the sound of the Great Outdoors. Also enjoyed the hot tub, which was one of the most well-maintained and clean outdoor hot tubs I've encountered in a rental property. We've stayed at a half-dozen VRBO properties over the years for these family trips, and this place is one of our favorites. A very pleasing experience, through and through.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers.

I took my daughter and her 18 month old twins to this beautiful log cabin looking for some peace and quiet (as much as you can have with 18 month old twins!). It was an incredible, secluded stay which we will treasure forever. We enjoyed walking the beautiful property which offered flowering foliage at every turn and open spaces where we could relax and watch the ponies play in the field. The cabin itself is huge, far bigger than the four of us needed, but each room lent itself to a true upscale cabin lifestyle in its own way. The kitchen was open to the living area and allowed us a beautiful view while we cooked. My daughter loves to create great meals, and one of our greatest memories is making fantastic dishes and bringing them out to the porch to eat al fresco every day. In fact, the cabin was filled with views from the expansive windows throughout the space. The views cannot be replicated in the photos here. They are breathtaking at every turn. The home was very clean and appointed with everything you need, whether you knew it or not. My daughter and I had never been anywhere where we could relax as much as we could here. We made a few trips to town to enjoy the great shops and restaurants. It truly is a place we will treasure and return to whenever we can. I felt the twins were able to experience a little bit of the country, while we enjoyed all the modern day amenities making our trip so easy and enjoyable. I will bring my husband back here soon, as I have not been to a more romantic, private retreat.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, pet owners, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway, people with disabilities.

My family and I have had the privilege of staying at this incredible log cabin three times! Each vacation has been wonderful in so many ways. We loved our springtime vacation where the fields are covered with beautiful wild flowers. My favorite memory? That would be sitting on a rocking chair enjoying the beautiful mountain views. My wife, enjoyed watching the sheep and llamas during feeding time each day. Our daughters enjoyed shopping and finding that special local restaurant. What will your special vacation memory be after spending time at this magical mountain retreat?Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
