Why the Owner Chose Beaufort
Its very rare to find a licensed short term rental property inside Beauforts prestigious historic district. Visitors come to Beaufort to experience the quaint coastal town and the 304 acre landmark historic district. Our rental location is ideal because you literally walk out the door and are surrounded by everything that everyone travels to Beaufort to see. You will never have to plan ahead or share a car. Restaurants and shops are all steps away.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhouse
We are a state and locally licensed vacation property. Our interiors are designed with Pottery Barn and Coatal Living Magazine furnishings and decorated with original local art. Our bedding is custom and we offer complimentary bikes and a library of local themed books and movies.
If you desire to have history at your doorstep and be surrounded by the antebellum mansions and cottages, our rental REALLY is in the historic district. VRBO headlines are deceiving- there are very few rentals that are actually in the Old Commons, Old Point or Bay Street neighborhoods of Beaufort's beautiful landmark historic district.
Owner's Map of Beaufort
Hi! We're Gary and Sara, both architects who share a love of both South Carolina history and great interior design.
Prior to purchasing our vacation property, we traveled to Beaufort as tourists for 10 summers. We've used our experience as former vacation property renters to buy in the RIGHT area and provide the all ammenities you will need. Our attitude is that you are on vacation and should have a place equal to or better than the home you came from. Please make yourself at home at Island Town House!

My 2 sisters, my Mom and I made the trip to South Carolina and stayed at this Townhome in Beaufort. After arriving, we wished we could stay longer. It's a short walk to the cutest town. We spent a few hours the first day just enjoying the town of Beaufort. We walked and shopped until we dropped. And then we did it again the next day. We were trying to pick our favorite thing and couldn't. Everything, every store, every restaurant and every person we saw was wonderful. We also had the pleasure of meeting Dottie, the next door neighbor. She made us feel so welcomed. When it came time to leave, we couldn't just go.....we had to drive up and down the streets behind the university across the street and take in the beautiful homes. We took at least a billion pictures. The townhome was perfect. Everything about it is so comfortable and convenient. Thank you so much Sara for providing an oasis for vacationers. -Toni Winkle, Toms River, NJ Homeowner Response: Toni! Thank you! It's is our absolute pleasure to have had your wonderful family come stay at Island Town House. I hope you'll consider our townhouse your favorite getaway, and return again to enjoy the town in different seasons. Please email a few of those photos for the scrapbook I am creating of our vrbo friends!
