Avoid the traffic of the Tahoe basin, yet be close to all that the Tahoe area has to offer. This is a special property in a unique setting. It is minutes from Boreal, Sugar Bowl, Donner Ski Ranch,The Kingvale Terrain Park, Royal Gorge, the Pacific Crest Trail and Donner Lake.
Located near Donner Summit, in a sleepy community called Kingvale, just five minutes from Soda Springs on Highway 80. This Non-Smoking recently built cabin has 1900 square feet. It has lots of knotty pine inside with log accents and a beautiful big stone hearth. There is a large deck facing the river and a covered porch along the full length of the south side of the cabin. It contains modern heating and a wood stove.
Kingvale is a forested community of charming 1930's and '40's cabins and unpaved roads - it's almost like going back in time. Enjoy a magical retreat where you can relax and play in the summer sun or the winter snow. There are only a couple of owners who rent their cabins in Kingvale. This is a unique opportunity to share in the magic of this cherished place.
Drive to the front door in spring/summer/fall. Winter storms may at times preclude driving to the cabin( as you await for snow removal). At those times you may park to the right of Rusty Lane on Donner Pass Road. Please do not park in the Kingvale Lodge parking lot. Two-three cars maximum in winter; 4-wheel drive or chains needed. Large group use is not allowed.
