This was a wonderful place for us to get away as a family. It is a gated community with a private beach and 3 pools, that should be enough to peak your interest. This condo exceeded our expectations. It is absolutly perfect for families with 3 floors to ensure enough privacy, and each room had GREAT beds! We enjoyed (and used) all of the beach equipment, the club house and pools. It is the perfect distance to Lahiana to head in for a bite (Aloha Mixed Plate for island grub, Captain Jacks for Loco Moco, Star Noodle for family style asian fusion, Mala for that expensive (but so worth it) dinner for the parents). It is a great location to use as a base for excursions too. We went to Honolua beach (40 min) for awesome snorkeling (snorkels from Boss Frogs), Iao valley state park (45 min) for nature watching, Kihei town (20 min) to mess around (Sensei Sushi is 1/2 off after 10 pm). Whale watching voyage and glass bottom boat from the Lahiana Harbor. Kitchen is fully stocked with pots/pans/spatulas/plates/glasses....to save $ on meals. Do yourself a favor and stop at Costco to stock up on food/drinks as soon as you pick up your rental car. It is literally under a mile from the airport. If you dont, safeway is 10 min away. Family Vacation Perfection

Honestly, if you are traveling with children you will not find a better arrangement. Puamana is the best location in west Mauii. The beach is perfect, the pools are lovely and the accommodation was fabulous. We were concerned that we would regret not spending the extra money to have an ocean view but were actually grateful we didn't. Instead, we spent the money on adventure. (helicopter tour, whale watching tour and extraordinary golf to name a few) We wouldn't change a thing about our trip. Look no further families. Brandi Toronto, Canada

Wonderful condo, Perfect complex!

We just returned from eight days in Puamana. This condo was perfect. We had four adults and three kids (ages 5-8) with us. The condo is well-stocked with everything you need for Hawaii fun (boogie boards, chairs, sand mats, towels etc). The upstairs loft is PERFECT for kids. The condo is conveniently located right in the middle of the two kid-friendly pools. Both pools were great ... one had a tennis court right next door and the other a playground. The beach was about a 2-3 minute walk. The beach is PHENOMENAL. It is a private beach so there were at most 4-5 families there each time we went. I can't say enough about Puamana. It is the perfect mix (pools, beach, large grassy areas etc). The only downfall is that it is just a tad bit too far to walk into Lahaina with kids so you do have to drive. Not a big deal really, but something worth knowing. Thank you Joanna for a wonderful stay. And thank you for the wonderful welcome basket. I can't wait to return in 2013.

We have been going to Maui for 22 years. This lovely condo is clean, spacious and very welcoming. All pictures shown are exactly correct. Master shower cannot be beat. Great place for a family or just a elderly couple like us. The loft is beautifully designed with children in mind. Both bedrooms have king size beds and the kitchen is well equipped with wonderful appliances. Joanna, the owner is very helpful and friendly. Of course.with 3 pools, tennis and so much more its hard to leave. Will return in a heartbeat.

Puamana O'Hana - Lahaina Condo

Great owner took care of our family (4 of us) very well. The 3 bedroom condo is in a beautiful gated community within walking distance of the wonderful clean ocean. The condo was very clean and had all the amenities we needed during our 1 week stay. There were 2 TV's and internet connection. The kitchen which we used often had everything we needed and was large enough to handle 3 people comfortably. There we surf boards, buggie boards, various beach balls etc available. The parking was right in front of the condo which was very convenient. The location was within walking distance of the Lahaina town (we went every day) .... great experience!

What a perfect Puamana property!

My family stayed here (2 adults, 3 kids) for Thanksgiving week. We have nothing but wonderful things to say about Joanna, the owner, and the property. The house is spacious with every amenity you could think of. It's nice to be able to not have to pack beach towels, toiletries, a hair dryer, etc. The "big" boys loved the upstairs room all to themselves. It's really a very nice home. The closeness to the beach was a plus. It's just a quick walk to the community beach with great surfing waves and amazing sand. The sunsets are beyond spectacular. The 3 pools are a bonus. We met countless nice people. Everyone said that we would be back to Puamana. Can't wait for the next trip- and to stay here again. Thanks for everything! Our trip was perfect!

We stayed in Puamana Ohana for 30 days and found it to be a wonderful place to enjoy our visit with the grandchildren that live there. Joanna certainly thought of every detail and the condo is just exactly as pictured if not better. Our two grandaughters had sleep overs at Grandma and Grandpa's house which they really enjoyed in their own room. We love the quiet pool and spent several evenings enjoying the sunsets on the patio. It was great to have the beach chairs and towels all provided and the kitchen was very roomy for fixing meals at home. Definitely will be working on when we can make a return visit and hope to be able to extend our stay next time. Thanks Joanna for 25-3 or as we call it "a little bit of heaven"! The Gordon's of Indy

Our family of 5 stayed at this property for 2 weeks in August. The condo looked exactly the same as the pictures, it was clean, warm and welcoming. Joanna was very helpful and reliable. The children, 9, 11, 14 enjoyed the grounds, tennis courts, pools and of course the beach. We even rented a couple of surf boards and took advantage of the beginner surf waves right at Puamana. Wonderful Condo, Fabulous Location!

Just wanted to tell you and everyone else reading this how much we loved staying in your condo during our recent Maui vacation. We were a group of 2 families (4 adults and 3 young children) and your condo was perfect for our needs. The two older girls (4 yo and 2 yo) absolutely loved "their" loft area upstairs to play and sleep in, and the master bedroom was spacious enough to put a pack-n-play (for our 1 yo) at the foot of the bed and not feel too cramped. The condo was very well appointed and well decorated too, which was an added bonus! The husbands loved the BBQ in the backyard for cooking, and the hot outside shower for rinsing off after surfing/boogie boarding. The location was also the best! Such a nice walk to Lahaina for dinner, and an accessible surf spot just a short walk down the road inside the Pumana complex. Oh, and don't forget the pool and playground that our kids adored! We had so much fun, which we could have stayed forever. Thank you again so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home and for the delicious treats in the basket which we all enjoyed so much on our arrival!

A real homecoming!

My family and I are actually former Maui residents that moved back to the Mainland some years back. For my Parents' 30th wedding anniversary we decided to go back home and spend two weeks on Maui. Being former residents we were hoping to find somewhere that reminded us of our life on Maui- and Puamana O'hana was it. The condo was beautiful and comfortably fit all 7 adults (although it was the youngins in their 20's that didn't mind bunkin' up in the Kids' loft on the 3rd floor). Everything we needed to feel at home was there - the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook for ourselves, furnishings were perfect "maui townhouse," there were ipod docs in almost every room where Hawaiian tunes were played all day, the charcoal grill got used twice daily, and including the outdoor shower - there was never a line when everyone was getting ready to go out. Joanna was very responsive to any and all questions that we had about the place - not that we really needed to bring anything to her attention as the place was both super clean and everything was in working order. Puamana in general as a resort was great and we took advantage of the pools, the tennis court, and the surfspot. (For you surfers - there's a great longboarding spot just off the beach that if you get up early enough you can have to yourself for about an hour before the crowds show up). It's also a 15 minute walk to Lahaina town which made for great "digestion" strolls after dinner :). Lastly, the price was super reasonable and that was the icing on the cake for our 15 day trip. So much so that we will likely be back next year! Thanks again Joanna! We had an amazing time!

Aloha Joanne, We just wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed staying at your condo last week. It was perfect for our needs. I am going to particularly remember the roosters crowing every morning to start my day. This is because we chose to sleep with windows open and enjoy the fresh air. The whole complex is beautiful and so well cared for. As the senior members of our little group, I never anticipated that we would enjoy the boogie boards and have as much fun as we did at the ocean. I'm sure when it comes time to share pictures we'll get a few chuckles from friends and family when they see Grandma and Grandpa riding on the waves. We thoroughly loved Maui and all the wonderful vistas it has to offer. Of course a week was too short to enjoy everything and as one of the artisans at the Saturday exhibition said to me, "save some things to do for when you come back again". Amazing Vacation - Perfect Condo

Three bedroom condos for a reasonable price are hard to come by in Maui. This condo was perfect for us and lived up to every word and picture. We were a family of 7, two grandparents, two parents and three kids (9, 6, & 4). The kids quicky took over the third floor loft making "Keep Out Parents" signs. They really enjoyed their own space. Joanna has almost everything you could need while on vacation. Just grab a few groceries and you are ready to relax. The secure grounds of the resort were immaculate, and the pools and beach were just right for us. All the neighbours and visitors were very friendly. The location was ideal. Whether you wanted to walk into Lahaina, or take a drive to one of Maui's many attractions it was a great location to start from. I've been raving about this property to all our friends who asked about our trip. It's a long way for us to go, but if we ever get back to Maui, we would definitely stay here again.

Puamana O'Hana Paradise

Our wide-spread family gathered together to vacation in Joanna's beautifully decorated Puamana Condo this February, as we do every year in Lahaina. It was perfect: beautiful decor, large and comfortable. And Yes...clean, clean, clean. She even provided snacks for a tired crew after more than 18 hrs of travel. Very thoughtful. Plenty of room, internet, and TVs. There was something there for everyone. Puamana is a gated community with huge shade-producing trees, a clubhouse, swimming pools, and the most beautiful beach in the world that witnesses the sun set over beautiful Lanai every evening. All of this within an easy walk to our favorite Lahaina and it famous Banyon tree that shades an entire city block and weekly art fairs. We watched whales constantly just off-shore, enjoyed the surfers, and silently observed a seal sleep everyday on its favorite rock. We had plenty of parking just outside the doorway. The checkin was painless. I recommend that you spoil yourself and give this package a try. It won't disappoint.

Relaxing at Puamana Resort

We arrived home tired but very happy to have had a wonderful family vacation in Maui. The condo was very comfortable and as others have mentioned before us, you have provided so many extras that are nice to have at hand. We made lots of smoothies and baked a brownie for an evening at home. It was wonderful to walk around the resort in the mornings enjoying all the flowers and greenery and to sit by the ocean and watch the whales. We played tennis almost every day and the boys played frisbee in the large grassy area in front of the condo. Everything was clean and well-maintained at the resort and the whole experience was very positive. Thank you.

Magical Maui

We had a wonderful time and the unit was far more than expected. Very "homey" and the only thing we needed to buy was food and drink! The unit supplied beach towels, beach toys, bbq grill,bathroom necessities, great towels, extra sheets, and a welcoming tray of goodies! I would recommend this unit to anyone interested in comfort and relaxation. Within walking distance to downtown. We enjoyed wonderful weather, the whale watching, beaches, the zip-line at Kaanapali, and had a great hamburger at Cool Cats. Joanna even let us stay two hours longer than check-out because of our flight time! Thanks Joanna, you are a wonderful hostess and landlord!

What a privilege to stay in such a lovely condo. The condo was immaculate when we arrived, and we were greated by a welcome gift of Maui treats that we all enjoyed during our stay. It was like staying in an oasis, or a friend's home. Everything we needed was available to us and we absolutely loved the spaciousness of the condo as well as the island decor. We enjoyed the lush grounds of the gated community at Puamana O'hana, the pool on the ocean and the nearby beach. The sunsets were spectacular. We also loved that LaHaina was just a short hike or drive away. We spent many nights wandering the shops and art galleries there. Kaanapali is just a 10 minute drive if you are anxious to do some snorkeling and Makena is only 20 minutes away for one of the most stunning beaches. We are already thinking about our next return to Maui!

From the minute we walked in we felt like we were in paradise. Puamana has everything to offer, a private surf spot, great little beach, and the most incredible pool that sits above the ocean. Walking to town for coffee and lunch made us feel like "locals". This townhome is the best...very clean and extremely comfortable with plenty of space for all of us. We can't wait to go back again this summer for a much longer stay. Make sure to walk to Kimo's for sunset!

We had a wonderful stay at your condo. Everything was clean and exactly as described and we appreciated the availability on short notice. The convenience to Lahaina proper was a real plus. The ocean side pool was awesome and we enjoyed playing tennis a couple of times, too. The only drawback to this unit is its proximity to the highway--there was a little road noise if the windows were open but not enough to not return to this unit again. (To be fair, there was considerable construction just down the road toward town which caused back-ups right by these units. Once the construction is completed this fall, that should improve considerably.) This was a very nice and very fairly priced unit. Thanks so much for making our stay effortless.

We had a fantastic time at Puamana...the condo was so clean when we arrived and has been very well maintained - it felt like we were at a friend's house! Spectactular Island Retreat

A wonderful property maintained by wonderful owners! The condo was immaculate and so well appointed - way better than a typical timeshare-type unit - it was like staying in your own home! The location is impossible to beat - close to the best beaches in Maui and outstanding restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. Not to mention the immediate community, which was excellent for the whole family, everyone always had something fun to do nearby, even if it was just hanging out in the condo (it was vacation, after all - and we got plenty of sun!). Our family will definitely be back to Maui and hope Joanna and John's place will be available when that happens. Thanks as well to your great kids for baby sitting for us - so nice to be in a family friendly place and still be able to get out for some "adult time" !! ;-)

A dream come true! After over 24 hours of travel from Europe, I landed on Maui and felt blessed by having rented this O'Hana. One can only hope that the property is as lovely as the photos and description make it out to be. I got lucky, this property exceeded all my expectations! The owner didn't skimp on any details....it's gorgeous, comfortable, and well equipped! And the location is wonderful being only a short walk to the beach, tennis & badminton courts, and 3 pools including one right on the ocean. That alone makes it hard to leave the property. But when you do, as an extra bonus, it's only a 20 minute walk to the town center where you'll find loads of restaurants, bars, and shops. What an amazing holiday...thank you and I look forward to the next.

We stayed at this beautiful condo for 10 days this February. We had a great trip and the place was perfect for our family. Everything was as stated in the description. We loved the Hawaiian decor and we had all the comforts of home. I wish our trip could have been longer!

ALoha This is the MOST INCREDIBLE family get away! All I can say is the owner pays attention to every detail! We have had the most wonderful vacation ever. The beds are so comfortable. The linens are in excellent condition, top notch! The condo is decorated incredible with comfort and class.... We will be back to the Puamana Ohana!!! Thanks sharing your paradise with us! Aloha I have been lucky enough to stay in this wonderful designed condo! It is so clean and inviting. The owner paid attention to so much detail. The beds and sheets are incredible!
