  We rented the Tuscan Villa over Spring Break and had a wonderful time! The house was clean, cutely decorated, and right on the beach!! The house is quant but spacious enought to house our group of 4 adults and 2 1/2 children. You cannot beat the views! Owner was very helpful aand friendly. Great place to rent! It was the most stress free, relaxing vacation we have had yet. We hope to rent this again this summer.

  After some intense research of all the beach houses in the various beach subdivisions I ended up renting the Tuscan Villa for the Thanksgiving Holiday. I have to tell you that the photos on the website are accurate to current condition but none of them do this house justice. Never have I rented a vacation home that is so elegantly decorated but yet warm and inviting. I absolutely LOVED the walk in Showers!!!! Very tastly designed. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen is furnished with every utensil and dish you could imagine. The gulf waters were clear and very bluish/green and the beaches were extremely clean as well. The house sets nicely right on the beach but you have to make a short stroll in a trail to get to the beach but well worth the walk. The only thing I highly recommend is to add a picnic or patio table to the large deck. Hint Hint. That would have been so nice. The house is on the West side of Galveston about 20 minutes from everything in Galveston, however, there are lots of convenient stores, gas stations, burger and seafood restaurants closeby. For good seafood the owner recommended The Waterman Restaurant and it was by far the best seafood I have ever eaten. One more compliment goes out to the housekeeper, Helen, that was truly the absolute best. The text me periodically during my stay to make sure I was comfortable and if I needed anything. Thank you Michael Pope for opening your lovely home up to me and my family!!!!! I WILL RETURN SOON!!!

  We considered ourselves lucky to have found this wonderful beach front property for our last minute weekend gateaway. The price is very reasonable for this such tastefully decorated house. There are no other neigbor houses to obstruct the ocean view. We went during the first weekend of October and the temperature was just right for our kids, age 7 and 9, to play in the water and at the sand just about all day long. My husband even tried fishing. The property and the beach were very clean. The owner was extremely pleasant to communicate with. We will definiately rent from him again. Highly recommended!

  My husband and I stayed for the week with our children (ages 6 and 7). The home is RIGHT on the beach. We enjoyed the convenience of using the outdoor shower and hose to rinse off when coming back to the house. We enjoyed the Sea Isle community pool with great tropical music. The fishing pier was really nice. The house was very nicely furnished. I cooked a lot and had everything I needed. The linens were very nice and the decorations were top quality. The house has a lot of character and is a great value compared other beachfront homes we have rented in Galveston for the same price. The house has a great floorplan with several rooms loking out to the gulf. It was great to have free WI-fi. One of the things we really appreciated about the property was the pleasant surprise of the late afternoon shade of the Isle del Sol water tank. As the sun begins to set there is a very large area of shade created on the beach which allowed us to really enjoy that time of day without the beating hot sun. We hired an inexpensive photographer that came out to the house and took some great photos of the kids o the beach. The deck was very enjoyable for watching the moon rise over the water and enjoy the breeze. We had such a fantastic trip and really enjoyed this beautiful home. I highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a beautiful home at a great value!

  This was a beautiful home!! We had a great time! The house was perfect for my family (my parents, two brothers, my husband and I and our 4 year old and 4 month old). My 4 year old lived on the beach! You don't realize from the description how close the beach really is. It is seriously the front yard! It was so nice to be able to come and go from the beach as we pleased. We absolutely loved the location of the house! It was far enough from everything to have plenty of privacy but close enough that we could drive 20 minutes to have dinner or shop! We plan on making this an annual trip and we will definitely be staying at this house again!!

  Went for a week in the middle of June and had a wonderful time. The house is absolutely beautiful and was so clean which made this a perfect vaction, we even came away with a few decorating ideas for our own home. We had our 12 year old granddaughter and her girlfriend with us for the first 4 days and they loved it. The setup of the house was perfect, we actually gave the girls the master bedroom upstairs since we are early risers for our morning coffee and that no way no one was disturbed. Will definitely stay here again as it help 2 workaholics come back totally relaxed. Wish we were back there now.

  The house is very nice and very well kept. There aren't many pictures of the view of the beach from the bottom of the house because this house used to be a second row home and there is still a lot of construction debris from where the house in front was torn down. Our children were young (all under the age of 6) and I found the stairs and deck outside to be a little dauting for them. The layout of the house works very well for adults though. We stayed the week of May 23rd and found the beach in the Sea Isle area to be very dirty. I don't know if this is normal for the area or not, we have never been to Galveston before. The homeowner was questioned about this after we left and the email I received from him did not answer the question at all, just belittled us for paying our last payment too late, and leaving the house a mess. We put everything back the way it should have been, did all the dishes, washed the towels and took out the trash. There was a housekeeper to come after we left, so I don't know what else there was to do. It was vacation... If you aren't familiar with Galveston (as we weren't) it does say that Galveston/attractions are a 10-15 minute drive away, this is a long stretch of road and it is cumbersome to go back and forth. If you don't have any other plans to go anywhere then this location is ideal. Overall, the house was great, the beach and the surrounding area were not so nice. The community pool and playground are nice as well, but about a 1/2 mile to a mile away. Definitely not walking distance with young children. I would not recommend this house to people with young children or people who were planning on relaxing on the deck while the kids played closeby in the sand. It would be great for couples or adults/girls weekend type stuff.

  Owner response: We appreciate the guest's overall high evaluation for our beautiful home. Her biggest concerns seem to focus on issues regarding the beach area itself; for which we have no control over. Unfortunately there was a big storm that dumped a lot of seaweed on the beach and she was offended by that......sometimes those things happen, its a beach. We've had many families that love the home and the beach that's safe and clean most often, including our own 4 year old twins that play there when we stay. As to the cleaning problem: They guest reserved the house for 5 people, but informed us after they left, that they had brought 9 (which exceeds our published limits), probably the reason our housekeeper found food in every room.

  I highly recommend Tuscan Villa for anyone wanting a right-sized house for two couples and kids. We could watch the kids play on the beach while sipping our coffee, make and enjoy great dinners, and relax by the fire in the evenings. The interior photos don't do the layout justice. It's a smart use of space. We will definitely be renting again!

  We actually came across this listing after searching and searching for a beachfront house, with no luck finding something that would accommodate my date choices, capacity, location AND PRICE! I was about to give up and found this house. I did not think the pictures do it any justice. First, the pictures don't show how close it really is to the beach. Step off the 1st floor landing and you are stepping in sand. The beach area was also clean. The house was immaculate and offered all the comforts of home (including wireless connection), and then some. The house was not furnished with 'left over' type linens, but very nice, comfortable, high quality bedding. The upstairs tub? I think I could live in it! We had friends come visit for the day and they too were impressed with the set up/location of the property....we all had a blast! The owners specifically were a joy to work with, very easy going, friendly and accommodating. And the price was much better than similar properties that I looked at. The vacation with my family was absolutely perfect and I cannot wait for the opportunity to do it again, this property will definitely be my first choice.
