The Capitola "Rose Cottage" is located in the heart of the village. One block to famous restaurants, shopping and Capitola Beach. Recently remodeled with wide plank pine flooring, rough hewn open beams and smooth plaster walls. Have your coffee in the sun filled kitchen and afternoon nap on the sunny front porch. The home features a sun filled back deck and yard for outdoor dining and entertaining with gas BBQ and two eating areas. Garden offers roses and lush Hawaiian greenery. Beach toys, chairs and towels make you ready for the beach with an outdoor shower for rinsing off after.
Enjoy the flat screen TV and DVD player in the living area and let the kids watch their favorite show on the porch. Secured WiFi. The house is equipped for all your dining and cooking needs if you don't feeling like eating out on the town.
Both bedrooms are cottage style right down to the quilt at the end of the bed. Our sleeping porch, fully closed in with double paned windows has an alcove with 2 twin beds and seating area.

My parents, husband, baby and I spent a week at this lovely cottage in Capitola. It was just fantastic. It was clean, comfortable, well stocked and in the perfect location. It has a wonderful back porch on which we sat and had drinks, dinner, tea etc. The beds were comfortable, with tons of clean sheets and towels. It is a short walk to the wonderful beach (and surf break) at Capitola Village, as well as the town with shopping and restaurants. But the cottage itself is quiet and cosy, perfect for hanging out and enjoying the town and surrounding area. There is also a hose outside to rinse off after getting back from the beach and the owner has provided beach chairs and some beach toys which were wonderful to borrow. The listing is completely accurate, the owner is kind and really prepares the cottage well for rental. I would whole heartedly recommend this cottage to friends and relatives and hope to return with my family again before too long!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children.

My mom just rented this cottage for two weeks this summer. My kids and I stayed several nights and it is a lovely cottage. It is RIGHT near downtown Capitola and just a few blocks from the beach. The cottage is SO well-done. It's completely modernized while keeping all of its historic architectural details. The decor is very beachy and tastefully done. The beds were comfy. And the back deck is perfect for dining outside, or playing games. My mom fell in love with this house! I hope she rents it again, because I would love to go back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children.
