This is your one-of-a-kind vacation rental! The Mountain Breeze Lodge is a spacious, 2,500 square foot, two level home, situated on Bald Mountain Lake in Rumbling Bald Resort on Lake Lure.
Granite counters surround a large, beautiful and well appointed kitchen. This will become the place to gather as the aroma of crisp bacon and fluffy pancakes begin your day.
Steal away with your new book to a quiet corner of one of the screened porches overlooking the lake or the gazebo on the lake.
Guests will enjoy our comfortable bedrooms, bathrooms, screened porches on both levels, and a walk way from the house to the private dock with a screened gazebo. Guests will enjoy magnificent views of Youngs Mountain just across the lake. Your family will enjoy mountain hikes on the many roads and trails.
Guests will have access to all the amenities of the resort including two 18 hole championship golf courses, boating and sandy beach swimming on Lake Lure, indoor and outdoor swimming pools with lazy river. A game room at the Wellness Center will keep the children entertained for hours. Also, the resort offers special activities for children ages 7 - 13.
Within the resort guests can enjoy the three restaurants that offer casual and elegant dining. All our guests will enjoy full club privileges.

We had such a great time enjoying the lake and relaxing. Everything you need is right here on site; no need to leave the resort unless you want to take advantage of the many interesting places to visit or extracurricular activities nearby. This is a great home; it's very clean and spacious. The screened in porch and deckhouse are great places to relax and enjoy the beautiful lake. You will love this place and will not want to leave! And yes, Janette is wonderfully personable and a pleasure to work with.

Our family just spent our week's vacation at The Mountain Breeze Lodge. This was our second visit to Lake Lure from Connecticut and we had a wonderful time. We would recommend this house to our family and friends. Lots of room, easy access to the resort amentities, great for large families!! We hope to be back in 2011. The Smith Family

We never felt the need to use the resort amenities because of everything provided. The Gazebo was a wonderful place to relax. Everyone enjoyed the paddle boat,canoe, fishing and floating around the lake. This is a very peaceful, beautiful property. We can't wait to come back! Janette Harvey was so nice, so warm, so welcoming! A true Joy!!

We held our family reunion at the Mountain Breeze Lodge. It was a wonderful setting for the families to gather, spacious rooms and very clean. Gorgeous views and a lot of fun for the children as they learned to fish, canoe, swim in the cool water and just have a blast! Definately a great stay...we will be back!

We spent a very happy week in Aug 08 in the Mountain Breeze house. We rented 3 houses on Bald Mountain Lake for our family reunion group of 26. Mtn Breeze became the gathering place because it was by far the largest and nicest. It is a beautiful home. It was lived in by the owners until recently, and it has a 'home' feel, rather than a 'rental' feel.It is very clean and comfortable, everything worked well, and the property manager is very helpful and friendly. We also loved the screened-in porch, looking at the beautiful little lake. No motor boats are allowed on Bald Mountain Lake, which makes it peaceful and quiet. We had 12 grandchildren, ages nine and younger, there, and everyone loved canoeing around to each other's houses. The swimming pools and other amenities of the resort are free. For additional fun, and fabulous photo ops, we recommend the Children's Science Museum in nearby Rutherfordton, GEM MINING on the way to Rutherfordton, and of course Chimney Rock. Highly recommended! We loved this place! We recently stayed over fourth of July weekend and had a wonderful time! It was ideal for fireworks, and perfect for water sports, cooking, and hanging out with friends. We would definitely recommend the lodge, and look forward to a return visit!

Our family enjoyed this house so much! The amenities of the resort plus the peaceful lake and private gazaebo were the best possible retreat for our family's 2008 vacation. We have small children so having the screened in porches was wonderful. The house was very clean and had more than adequate linens and a fully equipped kitchen. We will return soon.
