Relax in a beautiful San Juan Mountain Retreat. This house is situated right on the San Juan River, with the San Juan National Forest directly behind. You can go fly-fishing, tubing into town, and kayaking right outside the back door.
End a day of skiing or hiking in the hot tub (holds 6) right on the river with a large deck to enjoy. At night, light up the fire pit for a barbeque or to make s'mores. There is seating for at least 12 people.
The house is adorable. It has mountain decor with custom made aspen tree furniture and very cozy. It has a great room with living room, dining room and kitchen in one area, with a desk in case you need to work and high cathedral ceilings - very spacious and great for families or adults.
It has recently been completely re-furbished (including kitchen.) Step out onto a wood deck with a dining table and barbeque grill. Then on to the huge yard. The house is in an upscale, quiet neighborhood - San Juan River Village, just 6 miles to town and 20 minutes from Wolf Creek Mountain, which gets the MOST SNOW IN COLORADO.

My family (4) and my sister's family (4) stayed at Dancing River in July '11. We had an AWESOME time!!! It was so nice and relaxing. Even though there were houses very close on both sides, we felt like we were out in the mountains. The house was stocked with everything that we needed and was just the right size for our family. Having never been to Colorado before, we were amazed at the beauty just right out the back door. The San Juan River was literally right out back and we had a great time swimming and playing with our children. We were close enough to drive to Durango to ride the train, and by the time we left, felt very much at home in Pagosa Springs. We are planning our next summer trip already and will stay here again if it is available.
Recommended for:People with disabilities, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
