Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2007
I'm a software developer and now a property developer who is nearing retirement. I plan to spend my golden years as the steward of one of my favorite places in Texas, San Gabriel's Horn.
Why the Owner Chose Georgetown
I was looking for a water front property that was within a popular destination radius. When I found this place on the San Gabriel River and realized it's proximity to Austin and Georgetown, I was elated. It’s just minutes from everything that Central Texas has to offer and yet private and secluded enough to feel away from the world.
The Unique Benefits of this House and River Front
I really enjoy the sunset views from the upper deck along with a favorite adult beverage. My greatest happiness is when I'm smoking a brisket or a large quantity of world famous "Elgin" sausage for my friends and family. Also, watching the kids explore their world and learn about nature and wildlife along the cliffs and river is deeply satisfying.

Positive Rating
Some clients of ours needed a place to gather for a family event, and were lavish with their praise for San Gabriel's Horn, which we had recommended to them. The setting they found 'gorgeous and peaceful', and 'more beautiful than weddings we have hosted'. They also commented on the caring attention to their requests for the catered meal, and plan to use San Gabriel's Horn for their next family reunion. EBrumder/Georgetown, TX

Great location for our DIY wedding My wife and I planned our wedding ourselves and our biggest headache was the venue. Most places were asking exorbitant amounts of money for both rent and deposit and, in return, were offering us little flexibility or value. We stumbled on San Gabriel's Horn and, at first, were nervous. The pictures on the website were of this massive house that was under construction. We contacted one of the owners and he immediately set us up for a walk-through. What we saw sold us immediately. The house is large and stately, with plenty of room for our 80 guest wedding and reception. The pavilion area offered a beautiful backdrop for our ceremony and there was plenty of parking, despite our initial fears. Ray was with us every step of the way, making sure we were satisfied, making sure we had what we needed. In fact, on our wedding day, when he thought we wouldn't have the chairs he had promised, he drove down to San Antonio to get them for us and set them up before anyone had arrived! He really went above and beyond and we are more than pleased. Five Stars! D. Hayes/Austin, TX
