The home is beautifully maintained and boasts an open living-dining space with wood burning fireplace and window wall overlooking the meadows. The first-floor master bedroom has a cathedral ceiling, a bath with jet tub, queen bed and private deck. A cathedral ceiling family/playroom off the kitchen provides additional sleeping with a queen sofa bed. Upstairs are three bedrooms, one with a queen bed, one with a full bed, one with a full futon, and an additional bath. The living extends outside with expansive decks off the master bedroom and living room, and a screened porch off the open dining area adjacent to the kitchen.The finished basement has a gameroom.
Monterey is magical! Activities are endless for both the kids as well as the adults. The home is a half mile from the sandy beach of Lake Garfield, which offers swimming, boating and fishing for the whole family. You are less than a mile to the village center. Access to the Appalachian Trail is minutes away. Ten minutes away is the Butternut Ski area, which is great for family skiing.
The home is 15 minutes from downtown Great Barrington and 15-20 minutes from Stockbridge and Lenox. This is truly the most convenient location to Tanglewood, Jacob’s Pillow, Krippalu Yoga Center, the magnificent Cranwell Resort, the Norman Rockwell Museum, Canyon Ranch, a vast variety of restaurants and wonderful antiquing.

This is a fantastic house! It caters for all sorts of groups; is great for groups with kids, for reunions or for a weekend getaway. It is one of the best equipped houses I have rented to date, the kitchen had everything you could possibly want! The covered porch was a great place to sit in the evenings and there is plenty of table space and sofa space indoors for everyone to eat or sit and chill out. We all had a fantastic time in the Berkshires and if we return to this area for vacation I would love to rent this property again!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We stayed at this lovely home last New Years Eve. We had a group of 4 families, all with children 1 year old. This house was perfect for us. Each room had a bed that fit two people, and enough space for a pack and play. The family room was at the back of the house, had a door and came fully equiped with Toddler toys. We could put all the kids in there and let them play while the adults make breakfast or dinner. For those of us with early riser children, we were able to bring them into the room to play without disturbing any one else still sleeping. The wood burning fireplace was great. We will definitely go back!
