Livingroom with fireplace and river sounds just outside - Bat Cave River Cottages, Home on the River This cottage was our personal home for many years, and it has just been newly renovated for VRBO. This is truly a classic. This home was built back in the early 30's, and you will enjoy it's character. With a newly modern kitchen featuring granite counter tops and all modern ammenities. We also tryed to keep the old time feeling in the home which allows you to get back to the good life that is easy, relaxing and peaceful. The complete inside of the home has rough cut pine boards on all ceilings and walls just as it was when it was built so long ago. Seating on the private back deck accommodates up to 12 people, and makes for a lot of fun. The 6 person hot tub was installed April of 2008 and we hope you will enjoy it and your view. As you come over the bridge from Hendersonville, look to your right and you will see the 3 story home on the river with the blue roof and tan sides. You sleep at night with the peacefulness of the flowing river and the 4 foot waterfall right behind the home. The view is breath taking in all directions. Trout fishing is a lot of fun with a river stocking taking place once a week. Only 1/4 of a mile north and 1/8 of a mile south, you are sure to enjoy the catch of the day, hopfully for all to see. You will need your NC fishing license to take fish from the river, and those are available at the local Wal-Mart in Hendersonville. Personal steps that lead to the river are for our guests with the brand new decks on each level. We recommend water shoes for everyone to wear in the river because the rocks can be slippery. Come, sit and relax by reading a book or watching all the wildlife here. We invite you to come and relax and enjoy the beauty of the NC Mountains.
