This is my second stay, my first was with my husband just over two years ago. Now we are back with our 8 year old daughter. The condo is clean and family friendly. We really like that we had the choice to eat in or dine out. It is really nice to have the simple comforts, like a fully functioning kitchen and laundry when travelling with children. Thank you for keeping it simple.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The apartment had no air conditioning was hot and very noisy. The people all around us were loud with parties and we could hear everytime someone below us or beside us took a shower or flushed the toilet. Sleep was almost impossible. We even tried to find a hotel nearby to leave but were unsucesfull. The owners had advertised that the apartment had been upgraded which was a gross exageration. Some things were upgraded but very poorly done. The apartment complex was also run down including the elevator and pool. That being said my big complaint is that the owners kept most of our security deposit. Specifically,they kept most of my deposit and said the dryer was broken when we left. The dryer was noisy, but I assumed it was old like most everything else in the apartment. Neverthless, we have now paid for a new roller wheel, tub support, and drive belt. We did nothing but dry our clothes. Also note that we are travel agents and have never made a complaint "ever" regarding a stay anywhere. I still can't believe that these people actually stole our money to pay for dryer parts. Amazing!

Owner response: I have been renting this condo for four years now and this is the first time I have ever had a negative response. I take the comfort of my guests and my business very seriously. I would like to respond on the few points you were displeased on. First, the apartment does not have air conditioning and is not advertised as having so. The condo is in a family oriented neighborhood, as advertised, and control over noise is limited. Never has a guest complained before of a noise issue. As for upgrades, there has been a full upgrade and the pictures are available to any guest before they make their booking. As for the deposit, in all four years of renting to a variety of guests, never have I had to keep any part of a deposit. In this case, the cleaner worked four extra hours beyond what she normally needs to just to get the condo back in shape. There were numerous stains left on the furniture and linens and the dryer, which was purchased less than one year ago, had to have extensive repairs. The technician was clear that the appliance had been overloaded and misused. I strive to please all of my guests and insure they have a pleasant stay. In this case I was more than fair in not charging for the extra cleaning and furniture damage. The communications I received as a whole were very disappointing. If there was a problem with anything regarding the condo a polite phone call would be a great way to let me know and I am happy to deal with repairs. In this case, the dryer was working when you checked in and I heard nothing of it until we went to clean and it was broken.

The perfect North Shore retreat

What a wonderful way to enjoy the North Shore. This Condo was a perfect way to relax. Located in a nice quite residential area but so close to Haliewa and all the North Shore has to offer. The Condo was well laid out and well equipped with everything we needed for cooking and relaxing. There was even a few beach items such as mats and chairs which made the world of difference to my pregnant wife who still wanted to sit on the beach all day. Having a washer and dryer was an added bonus as we didn't need to pack near as much stuff. The condo was clean and well cared for. Tatiana the owner was a pleasure to deal with and made the whole booking process easy. We will definitely be coming back!

Tatiana, it was a real pleasure vacationing at your wonderful condo. Very convenient location to a beautiful beach park with a BBQ area and Swing set too! My daughter also had a great time swimming at your Condo pool, chasing neighborhood wild birds and rescuing a dove with missing tail feathers. Turning it loose back into the wild at the beach park brought tears to her eyes however, Hawaii will always bring happy memories of her family, friends and your great Condo. North Sbore Vacation

Our recent vacation was wonderful. The accommodations were very welcoming and easy to become at home in. It's in a very quiet neighborhood which I appreciated. The beds were comfortable, and the breezes wafting through the appartment created a relaxing environment. The kids loved the pool on the days we didn't go to the beach. This is in very close proximity to many lovely beaches along the north shore. If you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of the city, this is the place to do it. You can enjoy the beauty of the island without being surrounded by thousands of other people. If youre looking to party, this probably isn't your place. If you're looking for a clean, relaxing, hospitable home away from home, this one is ideal. I'd happily stay again.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Great place to stay on the North Shore!

We had a great time at this place. Owners have done a wonderful job making it feel like a home away from home. Everything you need is right where you expect it right done to kid's movies and toys (we brought our 5 and 2 year old with us). Nieghbors were quiet, friendly, welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend for someone on a budget and not looking for all the bells and whistles - there is no air conditioning (you won't need it though - the condo has many windows and the wind blows right through it) and the condo complex is a dated but still nice. It's a very short walk to the quiet public beach or the complex's lovely pool but you will need a rental car for pretty much everything else (it's worth it to get away from Waikiki). From our family to yours - Thank you for the use of your wonderful condo!

We had a great time in Waialua! Thank you for the use of your place! We appreciated that it was so kid friendly and very well stocked with all the amenities - almost like you live there yourself. We stayed at another condo on the Big Island last week and found it to be not as well equipped. The cleaning supplies, beach toys, Ipod dock, and movies that you had were very nice touches that we did not have there. Thank you again and hope to be back soon!

Decent rental for price. Very tastefully furnished and decorated but bathroom desperately needs a remodel (bring shower slippers!). Condo is in a very dense neigborhood. Good location to get to Haleiwa.
