SUNSET VIEW FROM YOUR DECK AND BEDROOM! Enjoy the magnificent sunset view from the living room and deck of this topfloor luxury condo in Estrella Del Mar. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and a deck overlooking the view of the huge infinity pool, the beach and the ocean. Leave the sliding door open and go to sleep to the sound of the surf.
BEAUTIFUL EXTRA BEDROOM SET UP FOR KIDS OR ADULTS. The spare bedroom overlooks the Robert Trent Jones golf course. It is set up for your convenience w/two twin beds which can be pushed together and "converted" to a king by adding a small insert and connecting the beds. (All the bedding is there to use the beds as twins or as a king.)
WE PROVIDE THE AFFORDABLE LUXURY YOU ARE LOOKING FOR. For instance, there is beer in the fridge when you arrive. Other extras include yoga mats, boogie board, binoculars, free weights, books and DVDs on the shelves, recipes for seafood cooking, extra beach towels, new 350-count sheets, ipod speakers so you can enjoy your own music, maps, directions etc. We love this retreat and we try to ensure our guests do too. We leave staples in the kitchen such as sugar, flour, many spices, butter, coffee, ketchup, salsa etc. We just ask that if you use something up you replace it for the next guest. This consideration has worked well for our guests-Please see our guest's comments.
This is a super RELAXING tropical retreat--you can turn off the demands of the outside world completely, lie by the pool, stroll the lengthy beach and dine at the clubhouse if you like. (Or you can stay connected via the wireless internet service, boogy board in the surf, kayak, horseback ride, or golf, golf, golf on the Robert Trent Jones golf course (which is currently only $45w/cart after 1 pm!)
Everything has been arranged for your convenience. You can even pre-order your groceries so they are in your kitchen when you arrive. So... pack your swim suit, some walking clothes, some books and maybe a favorite CD, and have some fun .... (You probably want your golf clubs, sunglasses and your camera too.) We even have some favorite shrimp recipes available for you to try in the kitchen (Mazatlan is the shrimp capital of the world). In the evening you can toast the sunset from the balcony, have a soak in the hot tub and go to sleep to the roar of the surf.
When you're ready to explore, go down to Stone Island where you can rent horses or kayaks, go to Old Mazatlan or the Golden Zone to shop, or venture off to a nearby mountain village. There are maps in the condo.
The food ranges from easy to gourmet (without the pricetag) to casual. Dine at Estrella Del Mar's oceanfront restaurant under a palapa (great Margaritas) or at Cuchupetl's famous seafood restaurant in Villa Union (very casual but incredibly good), or feed the family easily in your granite kitchen with GE Profile appliances. This is truly the perfect vacation getaway for you and your friends or family.

Why the Owner Chose Mazatlan
The weather is WONDERFUL (80-90) when our weather in the states is not. We love the people here and it is quiet, warm, secure, and beautiful. Of course we also enjoy walks along the beach, exploring nearby villages, fantastic seafood and the golfing!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We have a good collection of movies, music, recipes for seafood, and some books which we encourage our guests to enjoy together. We also have a boogie board and binoculars here for enjoying the surf. Our sunsets from the deck of our condo are fabulous. The turtle sanctuary offers unique opportunities to observe the giant sea turtles laying their eggs (in August and September) and to release baby turtles into the sea (primarily in November, December).

Estrella Del Mar is a well maintained property - very clean and safe. Our 3rd floor accomodations had a beautiful view of the ocean and sunset. We had a thoroughly enjoyable week that included charter fishing, sight-seeing, and zip-lining at Huana Coa. The highlight of our trip was the turtle sanctuary on the property!!! We assisted Olive Ridley hatchlings make it to the water - a once in a lifetime opportunity. This is however not the place for those looking to snorkel, scuba or swim in the ocean - it's pretty chilly in Dec. The owner Bonni, and the on-site manager Olga were both very helpful. Thanks!!!!!

Too bad you caught the very rare La Nina weather--I always swim in the ocean and spend lovely hours reading and enjoying the warm sunshine. You'll just have to try it again next year!

Amazing place, breathtaking scenery and extremely well maintained condo. Picture don't do this place justice. Also, owner was really helpful and courteous. I have to say that if we didn't choose this place and instead would've chosen a hotel as we planned, our stay wouldn't have been as much enjoyable. If this is your first time, plan to rent a car and take a GPS with Mexican maps. Otherwise buying groceries or going out for dinner will be a pain.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car.

This is truly a beautiful location. It far exceeded what I was expecting. We stayed in February, and it was beautiful weather, with occasional rains. We drove to Mazatlan a couple of times, but next time, I don't even think I will do that! We ran, lounged by the pool, walked miles on the pristine beach and totally relaxed. If you golf (we don't), this is the place to stay! Beautiful course, and not very crowded. The only thing I wished Estrella Del Mar had was more dining variety. The Club House did have excellent food, but I didn't like driving to Mazatlan for dinner. We rented a car, but next time we won't. If you want to totally relax and enjoy beautiful surroundings, THIS is the place. The condo is spacious, kitchen lovely, and bedrooms very nice. We will certainly be returning.

Renting this condo was our first experience in Mexico. We could not have been happier. First off, our hosts were very helpful and informative. The condo unit was clean, spacious, and state of the art with Wi-Fi and appliances. Morning breakfast on the deck overlooking one of the best pools we had ever been in, and the ocean tide, was delightful. Being there in June the condos were not crowded and we felt like we were there almost by ourselves. Could not have been more relaxing. We ate several meals at the Golf Club restaurant and were very pleased with the food and the service....and watching the sunset while having that margarita/dinner in the Golf Club patio area was unbeatable. Estrella del Mar is just far enough away from Mazatlan so that you can easily drive in whenever you want and yet otherwise feel like you are in a remote setting. Security at Estrella del Mar, and maintenance of the grounds, were topnotch. We will visit again as soon as possible!

We appreciated the luxury, tranquility, and attention to detail of the Canary’s condo. It gets 4 stars. We toasted magnificent sunsets every evening from the deck. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the world class golf course while I loved the brilliantly designed swimming pool. The grounds were secure, spacious, and well-maintained. Estrella Del Mar’s water filtration system makes drinkable tap water – 4 stars for that. The time went too fast. Thank you for such lovely accommodations.

Stayed here March 15-31, 2009. Watched the incredible sunset every night while grilling supper on the balcony. The condo is very roomy and well-equipped. The view from the balcony is stunning, especially at sunset. The beach stretches forever - great for running or walking. Played golf every day. Golf course is very well cared for, in pristine shape. Almost free. The staff at the golf course are incredible. I would play there again any time. The staff at Estrella del Mar are all very friendly and accommodating. They all seem genuinely willing to go that extra step. A great place. An awesome vacation!

Estrella del Mar was great. We had a great experience. The room was amazing...we enjoyed breakfast on the balcony over looking the waves and pool. We went during the month of August and it was like we had the whole beach/restaurant (which is great) to ourselves. The room was very clean when we got there. My wife did not want to leave the pool area...she loved it. I loved seeing the turtle place...and just walking the beach early in the mornings when no one else was around. Would recommend this place for everyone.

Your condo is one of the most comfortable and well appointed condo's I've stayed in. I can't think of anything that's missing, so my initial one week vacation became two and then three weeks. I love the sunsets, the beautiful ocean, the endless beach. Having internet access in the condo is a real bonus! I will return, hopefully for several weeks to this magical spot that soothes your soul and makes it all go away. My shell collection just doubled and I will never forget having crossed paths with a mother tortuga heading high on the beach to lay her eggs. It was a real pleasure to interact with you and I cannot thank you enough for everything you did for me!

In April of 2008 we enjoyed the ambiance of Mexico in this delightful condo. Sunsets are fabulous (green flare and all!), complimented only by a good mojito and good company. The ocean breeze refreshed the condo and brought with it the soothing ocean sounds. The pool is fabulous, not only for it’s size, but there is no chlorine due to a special filtering system. The yoga and water aerobics provided exercise and a sense of community. The decorating is fun, inviting, functional, and comfortable. Isla Piedres has a great beach with restaurants and water taxi access to Mazatlan – both the historic old town and the Gold Coast. Come to hang out at Estrella del Mar or to explore the quaint small towns around Mazatlan – either way you won’t be disappointed. We have stayed at Estrella del Mar several times before and consider these accommodations to be superb for us.
