This lovely parisian apartment is comprising a living room with a dining corner and 2 sleep-sofas, 1 bedroom, a modern and fully equipped kitchen, and entrance and a bathroom . Floors are made of Oak hardwood . There are 2 vintage fireplaces.
From the living room there is a direct view on the rue de La Huchette, a famous "Vieux Paris" pedestrian street, full of colors, life and animation. Notre Dame is across the street.
Centrally located, in the heart of the famous Latin Quarter, 50 yards from public parking facilities, the RER express underground railway and the Metro Railway at your doorstep takes you to the Chateau de Versailles in 20 minutes, and to all major attractions around Paris ( Disneyland ) in the shortest possible time.
The Latin Quarter is the oldest area in Paris, having been the centre of Gallo-Roman Lutetia in the 3rd century. You will find remnants of this period at the Thermes de Cluny, Roman baths standing next to the Medieval Cluny Museum.
Since the Middle Ages, the Latin Quarter has been an academic centre of knowledge and learning built around the Sorbonne University, which was founded in 1231 by Robert de Sorbon, and reputable lycées. This is why it conjures up images of old cobblestones, bohemian writers and carousing students. The narrow streets also seethe with perpetual eruptions as students' slogans and demonstrations echo the songs of François Villon.
The area is full of hot and trendy spots to dine out or hang around, fine or casual dining places, banks, cafes, restaurants, gym, churches, bakeries... and much more.

A few basic tips that will make your Paris experience more enjoyable :
1. Do not think automatically that being in the first arrondissement of Paris or being as close as possible to the Louvre is your best bet. You may end up with some severe disappointments for a couple of reasons.
2. Renting a vacation rental apartment is NOT the same as booking a hotel room. There is no reception desk "downstairs" ! One of the ways to cope with this difference is to have a cellphone. You may lose your key, the building code may change, and get stuck in front of the building at night, and so many situations that I have seen where a cellphone would have avoided a minor incident to become a major inconvenience spoiling your vacation.
