Originally built in the 1940's, this charming large wooden home has two full stories with deep porches which overlook the garden and pool. An exterior stair case on one end of the building join the first and second floor. A renovation of the home in the early 1990's redesigned the floor plan so the home can also be utilized as two separate units. Both the first and second porches run the full length of the house, and most rooms have French doors that lead out to the porch. Furnishings are tropical, cheery. There is nice art work throughout. When rented as a complete complex, this home is the perfect setting for family gatherings or small reunions.
First Floor - Master bedroom is a queen size bed. Second bedroom has 2 twin beds. Third bedroom is adjoined with a door to the second bedroom. The third bedroom has a sleeper futon that is kept made up as a double (full) sized bed. This is ideal for children that need to sleep close by. This layout also provides plenty of privacy if the group needs five separate sleeping spaces. The first floor also has a washer/dryer. The first floor of "Amanda's" offers over 1200 square feet of living space and features a large living room with cathedral ceilings. French doors open off the living room into the garden and onto the porch. The first floor also provides a fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a sleeping porch. French doors open from the two bedrooms onto the porch. The first floor also offers a washer dryer and closed in outdoor shower. Bedding includes a queen bed in the master bedroom, two twin beds in the second bedroom, and a sleeper futon in the sleeping porch. French doors open from each bedroom onto the porch.
Second Floor - 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom: The second floor of Amanda's provides approximately 750 square feet of living space offering a nice size open floor plan joining the open beam ceiling living room and galley kitchen. French doors off the living room and kitchen open to the spacious porch which runs the full length of the second floor and over- looks the garden and pool. Upstairs offers two bedrooms. The first bedroom is on one end of the upstairs and is set up as a master suite with king size bed and a glassed in porch with a sofa for sitting. The second bedroom is on the opposite end of the upstairs and has two twin beds with a window view to the pool. There is one full bath on the second floor.
