We spent a fantastic week here with another family- 6 people total. The house was more than we expected- we definitely overpacked! There were so many things we brought that were provided! (should have paid more attention to the list) The house was perfect- spacious and very well maintained. The layout is great- everyone had plenty of room. The decks were so inviting, many mornings spent on front deck with a cup of coffee- beautiful! The boys had a blast with all the beach toys and we enjoyed watching them from the chairs under the umbrellas provided! Will definitely be back for more Medicinal Use!

Recommended for:Girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

My family has stayed at Medicinal Use twice over the last 4 years, and the ammenities keep getting better. The owner has thought of every little detail. It feels as if you are staying at your own second home when you visit here, just stock the cupboards and you're good to go. The house accomodates 10 people very comfortably. Everyone can gather together in the spacious kitchen/great room or find yourself a quiet place to relax on a deck or in a bedroom. The beach is wonderful, and the pool is a great diversion. Great location for a quiet beach vacation with family and friends. Can't wait to go back.

I would HIGHLY recommend Medicinal Use!!! We had ten adults, and our 2 year old grandchild, and there was plenty of room. It was a joy that my grandson had so many toys/books there, along with great beach toys! Plenty of beach chairs for us adults too! The beautiful, uncrowded beach was a 2 minute walk away, and we spent our nights on the large deck (with plenty of chairs), listening to/looking at the gorgeous ocean or at the family-size dining room table playing games! Oh, and be careful not to over-pack your car..the Rourks probably have all you need already provided in their wonderful beach house! Thanks Jean for being so easy to work with and always answering my many questions! We would love to return to your beach house and Topsail beach!

We really enjoyed our stay at Medicinal Use. We had 10 people in the house and we were never crowded. The house was clean, comfortable and the owners were very easy to deal with. The beach was a 3 to 4 minute walk down the block. I'm already looking forward to our next trip to Topsail!

This was the first time we stayed at this wonderful home. With 2 small children, we normally bring loads of stuff. Not this year! We only had to bring our clothes and food. This is a lovely home, full of amenities, great views of the beach and sound, and just a short walk to the beach. The Rourks are also a pleasure to rent from. We look forward to many more visits at this wonderful beach home. Before you pack a bunch of stuff, ask them if it is already there b/c it probably is. The Tarts Roseboro, NC

This is our second year at Medicinal Use. What a perfect vacation home! A very clean and well kept house with plenty of room for large families. King beds in all rooms are great! Great views of the ocean from the front deck without the added cost of a 'beachfront' home. The walk to the beach is very short and easy. Families w/ small kids will love the ammenties they offer - sand toys, beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach towels - no need to carry all of that stuff in your car with you! The beach is all families and very quiet. The water is always warm and safe. Enjoy!

This house was just the perfect size for our family get together in July, 2006. The amenities for grandchildren were also very much appreciated as well as the adults (toys, games, highchair, baby bed,beach toys, etc.). We had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the great room, balconies, and pool. You made it seem special and as well as cozy. All agreed that they want to come back to Topsail Island and especially the Rourk's house in a few years.
