This is the place to go to unwind and revitalize all your senses.Accomodations are top notch.Leave everything at home bring food,love ones and clothes.Linda and Jane are awesome host,there when need.I was much impressed how they allow you to make it your home.Wonderful views from upper and lower decks.Awesome boat docks for charging boats.Alcorn hollow is a great secure cove.This cove has great fishing,I myself caught a six pound walley and many bass.Sighted many six to eight pound bass in shallows,they didnt want to play.Thats ok because the accomadations,hospitality,beauty and peacefull surroundings were great.That will never chang.Catfish were bitting,crappie,whites also.Would recommend utopia inn to outdoorsmen,familys,newlyweeds or to anyone just needing to get away to reflect.Many family oppurtunities a short distance away.Shopping,helicopter rides,nightlife,caves etc! We went in fall, the colors and wildlife were truly beautiful.Utopia is a perfect name that isn't imaginary its reality!! God bless

The pictures, description and reviews do not lie...this is a GREAT place to stay. We were greated with a friendly smile, a helping hand and homemade coffe cake. We had eight adults and there was plenty of room. The 3 bedrooms are very spacious with extremly comfortable mattresses. The couple who slept on the pull out couch said it slept like a regular bed, no bar in your back. The 3 baths were clean and roomy. The cabin is supplied with pretty much anything you could ever need. You have a beautiful view from the deck which is where we spent our evenings. Utopian Inn is located in a quite, peaceful cove but yet not far from restraunts and bars by water. The owner has provided a book filled with pamphlets from local attractions, a list of area churches, and shopping. The owners live next door and are very frindly and helpful. We have stayed at many places at the lake over the past twenty-one years and this was by far the best and also very affordable. I have been and will continue recommending Utopian Inn to all my family, friends and co-workers.

12 guys did a fidhing trip here and we had a blast, super nice house and hosts!

We do an annual fishing trip every year, for almost 20 years now. We have stayed in several places, some nice some, not so much. The Utopian Inn is really in a class onto itself, not just because the accommodations are 1st class, everything is clean and pressed, beautiful linens, a well stocked Kitchen with all the essentials you could ever ask for and then some, right down to a Cuisinart Food Processor that I was very please to see and use. There are 3 bathrooms all with showers and or tubs plenty of room to sleep people with 3 bedrooms and 2 hide a bed couches, all with a view of the lake to die for. The owners Linda and Jane were constantly checking up on our needs, and did everything they could and then some right down to helping us load our vehicles at the end of the stay. I only have one issue with the place, and that is the house in multi leveled, and the grounds are multi leveled, if you have a mobility problem this is not the place for you, especially if wheelchair bound, you would have not just difficulty it would be nearly impossible to get around in a power chair or wheelchair. Even the interior steps are extremely steep. Again this my only issue with the place, the 12 of us are able bodes fellas and had no real issues with the steps. I'm sure we will from the Utopian Inn again, You should to... you will love it!

As you know in order to have a deep water cove there must be height on the banks - fortunately we were able to make comfortable easy steps for our guests on the outside and we never advertize the Utopian Inn as handicapp accessible Linda

My family recently spent Labor Day weekend at the Utopian Inn and we all had a fantastic time! The house was clean and well equipped and the deck and dock were perfect places to hang out and enjoy the water. The owners are very helpful and welcoming and made sure that we had everything we needed for a great vacation. I just wish we could have stayed longer!

THE place to stay!

Let's just say... they don't lie! If you are looking for a truly remarkable house with all the amenities.... Utopian Inn is the place to stay. No detail is overlooked. From the ironed pillow cases to the fresh-baked goodys awaiting your arrival... your hosts at Utopian Inn have thought of everything to ensure your stay here is comfortable and relaxing. Lets start with the house... nicely furnished! Honestly, the only thing you need to pack is your clothes and some food. The bedrooms are good sized with comfy beds and lots of pillows. Awesome views!! The kitchen is nicely equipped for preparing those home cooked meals. The common space is comfortable as well but why would you want to be inside with all there is to do outside?? The house is situated on a peaceful cove. One of my favorite parts of the weekend was enjoying my coffee on the large deck. The view really is remarkable and the hummingbirds are a joy to watch.The cove is calm so go ahead and play on the swim deck or try your hand at fishing. Just around the cove is the main channel with many restraurants, bar and grills, marinas etc close by. The water slides at Bear Bottom are a must do! I can't say enough nice things about the owners of this property. They take great pride in their house and don't mind going the extra mile to make sure your vacation is a memorable one. I really enjoyed getting to know them and like to think that I left there with not only a re-newed sense of calm but also a few new friends. They have many stories that they are more than willing to share, will do anything to get a laugh and are just all around wonderful hosts! I can't wait to get back and have already recommended the Utopian Inn to everyone I know!! Thank you for a wonderful weekend! It will stick with me for many years to come!

A Fabulous Lake of the Ozarks Vacation Experience

My family and I have stayed at the Utopian Inn each summer for the past two years. We loved it! It is not an exaggeration to say our stay at the Utopian Inn/Lake of the Ozarks was the best vacation experience we've had. The owners take obvious pride in their inn and cater to their guests as though they are family. We now consider them friends we greatly look forward to seeing each year. The inn itself is roomy and clean and the attention to detail is amazing. It is tastefully decorated and well appointed with large bedrooms and furnishings that make you feel at home. The large living room and kitchen make for a very comfortable stay and the view of the lake is beautiful. When you're not on your boat or swimming off the dock, you and your family will love relaxing on the large decks off the upper level bedrooms and the living room/kitchen. There is nothing quite like sitting on the deck in the dark of night viewing the moon and stars over Lake of the Ozarks. The inn is centrally located just a short boat ride to many of Lake of the Ozarks best restaurants and night spots and fun for families too. I can not say enough nice things about the Utopian Inn or its owners. I go out of my way to recommend this property to my friends, relatives, and business associates. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting Lake of the Ozarks and you shouldn't either.
