This 3 bedroom 2 bath chalet is nestled in the woods and comes with every feature you would expect from a five star property. We travel the world and have had craftsmen custom make our furniture. You will have sweet dreams of the rockies and being out west as you fall asleep in our custom pole and sassafras beds with pillow top mattresses.
The kitchen with its granite counter top, tile backsplash, wine cooler, upscale appliances and every imaginable utensil will delight the novice cook to the gourmet chef. The all wood pine floors in the living, dining and game rooms add to the rustic charm. There are flat panel TVs in the living room (42in), game room and all bedrooms. The 7ft., real slate pool table and 6-7 person hot tub add to the comfort of this retreat.

Towamensing Trails is a four season amenity-filled community with a 195 acre lake that permits swimming and fishing. There is an outdoor pool, tennis, and children's playground.

Great Last Minute Ski Weekend!

The home owner replied to my email inquiry within an hour to rent his home. For the amenities, and our last minute decision to go to Poconos - the price was right. It was exactly as described - nice to have linens provided even towels (but we brought our own). Pictures are accurate and current. The fireplace was even on literally waiting for us when we arrived! Each bedroom has flat screen TV which my boys loved. Master bedroom is quite big. We went skiing so it was nice to come back to the hot tub everyday, and the kitchen was convenient to cook meals. Minor issues were the toaster did not work, we couldn't find a broom so sweeping up was hard using dust pan & brush and on last day we did a load of laundry but the machine stopped during the rinse cycle. I contacted owner and he replied immediately with who to call to get it fixed. We were leaving that day anyway so we just took the laundry home. Will rent again.

Me and my Six Friends from NYC, Reading, PA and Harrisburg, PA stayed here over this past Weekend, My 2nd get-together here at Rubin’s Retreat and my friend’s First Weekend. This by far was the best ever. The Chalet was a perfect venue...quiet, secluded and serene setting...tall trees, beautiful fall foliage, friendly neighbors who came by to introduce themselves. Comfortable accommodations clean and bright lodging easily held our group. Well-appointed kitchen, Cable TV to watch the ballgames, pool table for at-home fun, and hot tub to soak the bones after days of Activities. It is a very clean, well-maintained place. The pictures are current. The owner gave us a call to see if we needed anything. We spent a lot of time on the porch, Barbequing on the Gas Grill cooking Ribs, Burgers, Chicken, Sausages well you get the picture. Front Porch has a table and Chairs where we sat watching the wildlife. Very quiet and relaxing. City folks like us will find this close to heaven. Definitely plan to return again to this gem! Thanks so much for such a beautiful house to stay in for our vacation. this house was perfect for us! we loved the jaccuzie. The house has a beautiful layout, perfect for our 3 family's, The kids loved the lake and the playground and our husbands had a good time fishing. We would definatly come back again!

Even though the weather did not cooperate, we had a wonderful vacation in this beautifully decorated home. When you walk through the front door you feel at home in this cozy chalet. It was filled with everything you would need to get your vacation started, which was great since we arrived at night.We have had the pleasure of meeting the owners. They are wonderful people, who are very helpful and do everything to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We enjoyed all the local sights, which included walking and shopping in Jim Thorpe, and hiking the trails at Hickory Run.We will be back next year.

The interesting decor and personal touches make this house far superior to a typical rental. Although the living room is small, three bedrooms with TVs, two decks, a pool table and a hot tub mean there's plenty of space for several people to spread out. My teenagers loved the pool table, hot tub and convenience of Jack Frost and Big Boulder; I loved reading a novel by the effortless gas fireplace and shopping at The Crossings. Recent snow made the surroundings beautiful, and the neighborhood is nice with houses fairly spread out. Dick, the owner, is very accomodating and caretaker is extremely helpful. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

My Friends and I had the opportunity and pleasure of staying at Rubin's Retreat for 4 days and 3 nights and I can honestly say from experience, that this is one of the most exceptional and accommodating places we have ever stayed in and were happily excited to rent. Upon arrival the pictures that you see here are the exact same ones you see in person and we instantly fell in love with the property. Upon time for departure my friends and I didn’t want to leave because this is the perfect place to hide out or go to and just relax for a few days. In our field of work, aside from going Horse back riding & paint balling; the Hot Tub was to die for, the Pool Table kept us entertained and the computer gave us frame of mind away from work. In closing my friends and I want to thank you Richard and Lois for allowing and giving us this opportunity to enjoy our weekend at your home. We had a great time at this property! We all loved the hot tub which was great for the whole family & later in the evening for just the adults. The decor was so perfect for a Pocono home. It was so tasteful and you could really tell a lot of thought went into the home. At one point we had questions on the hot tub & the property manager can over in minutes to help. We would love to stay here again or any other home from the Rubin's.
