We had a wonderful time! There were 3 married couples and we called it the "Why did I get married/Couples Retreat" (in a fun way) and it was relaxing, fun, and overall a much needed getaway. The home was spacious and clean with all necessities and then some. It's like a "home away from home" literally. The view of the ski slopes is wonderful and the location is perfect. I highly recommend the home to anyone and we will definitely be back.

This house was perfect for our Christmas getaway week - the five bedrooms and game room insured that everyone had their own space. Ping pong was as popular as pool! The downstairs game room is very comfortable. A door seperates the sleeping and playing areas and the baby slept peacefully, while the older guys played games on the same level. The kitchen was very well equiped and we had fun whipping up Christmas dinner. The house is close to many activities--and some fun resturants The owner, Lisa has been fine to deal with -- but we really had no problems! This is a clean, well appointed home and you will enjoy your stay !!!!

Mountain Holiday

This three story, 5 bedroom home is perfect for a winter vacation. Besides 5 nice bedrooms, the downstairs game room gives everyone space - and it is "happy space" The location of the house is perfect, as it close to ski areas, shopping outlets, Jim Thorpe, and lots of fun resturants. Our two families had a great time cooking in the well equiped kitchen - We had a great week - wish we had some snow!(I would love to spend time here in the summer - because the deck is super!!)

Our family of nine visited Pocono mountains this labor day weekend and stayed at this vacation home. It is exactly as in the picture, spotless clean with all amenities you will need for a vacation that's a home away from home. We spent a lot of time in the house playing ping pong and tennis at the courts outside.One morning we hiked at the Hickory Run state park nearby and the waterfall/vistas were beautiful. Another evening we spent at Lake Harmony which was gorgeous. I would be remiss if I did not mention the owner. who was extremely friendly and understanding and made our stay very comfortable. Highly recommend and we would certainly go back there.

Clean, Roomy, Comfortable, Excellent Communication from Owner My sister and our families stayed here (4 adults, 5 children from ages 2-6) and found it very roomy. The entire unit is very clean and there is not a trace of mustiness, even in the basement. The bedding configuration worked well for us and the beds are comfortable. The lower level is very nicely done with an extra full sized refrigerator and a wet bar. The deck was a quite haven. The WIFI worked great too; 4 laptops and 4 iphones connected with no issues. Places we went: Boulder Field at Hickory Run State Park, as well as the beach there. It was a huge hit for the kids.... climbing on rocks and very clean beach/lake area with a great snack bar; reasonable and good menu with lots of sandwich options. We went back twice. Paws n Claws, a little far, but worth it. Trails are not paved, so wear good sturdy shoes .. no flip flops. H20 OOOO water park was perfect for the younger age group. Clean and was not crowded. Expensive though, so try to buy your tickets online with a $10 discount (24 hr notice).

Great location and really nice house. House easily accommodated two families. Property was well maintained and tastefully decorated. Pool and restaurants were within a 5 minute drive, which made the house handy. Scenic area. Very quiet neighborhood and a nice area to take walks with children in.

My family and I just came back from a nice, relaxing, couple of days at the Pocono mountains. The house was beautiful and the perfect size. There were activities on every floor and everyone was able to relax in the way they wanted to. There were 5 kids with us and they were always entertained which isn't easy. They were either playing ping pong/pool downstairs, playing video games upstairs or watching a movie in the living room. Us adults were just hanging out in the dining room area, chatting, cooking, and watching a movie in the bedrooms. Lisa has tons of movies that you can choose from. You will not get bored! The kitchen had everything you needed to make a meal also. I was surprised that once I got there, I didn't even want to go outside; I just wanted to stay in the cozy house. I would definitely recommend this home. We went in the winter so I would like to see how it would feel in the summer!! You should definitely book this home...you will not regret it!

Family Gathering – 3 sets of Parents, 7 youngsters having a wonderful time with Snow at Big Boulder It has been 2 weeks since we returned from the Big Boulder vacation. My children (19, 15, and 11) are still talking about how much they enjoyed skiing and snowboarding, and snow tubing with their cousins. They have discovered that despite falling every other minute, they loved to be on the slope skiing and snowboarding. Not to mention that no adults were around to watch them. Big Boulder is only 5 minutes away, if you walk, but we drive the kids there anyway (they are rather impatient) Us old fossils, as my youngest one called us, were in the wonderfully furnished townhouse enjoying cooking, watching DVDs, playing billiard and ping pong. Every room is clean, accommodation for 13 people were excellent. I think most other units can only sleeps no more than 8. This is the exception. We had some minor issues almost everyday, but Lisa was very helpful with our questions, and provides answers immediately. We are already talking about possibly returning during the summer. I hope everyone can get together on the same week. If you are considering this townhouse, you won't be disappointed. God Bless,

My husband and 3 kids (ages 14, 12, 12) stayed at this condo for 2 nights and despite the rainy weather, we all had a great time. The condo was immaculate and stocked with everything we needed...games, tv's, ping-pong, billiards and very comfortable furniture. We're already looking forward to going back (when the sun comes out!).

We rented this property with great expectations and we were not disappointed. The property slept 13 comfortably and it was immaculate. We enjoyed everthying about it and have no complaints. We had a little trouble getting the key out of the lock box and Lisa the owner was super helpful and she had the cleaning lady coming and open it for us it doesn't get any better than that. So we the Young Family give this property and it's oweners two thumbs up.

My family and I stayed at this immaculate townhome at the end of August 2010 and really enjoyed it. The home is beautiful, spacious, and fully equipped. We ate all meals at the home while enjoying the great scenery outside. The deer were fun to watch from the deck, especially for my 5 year old son. We took full advantage of Lisa's lake passes! The area and home are suitable for all ages and interests. The lake is less than a 5 minute drive from the home and shopping, casinos and fishing areas are close too!

We have rented before from the Home Away site and once again we couldn't be more pleased! It is a beautiful townhouse and very accommodating. We were able to barbeque, cook and bake without the need to run out and get a needed kitchen tool. Lisa and Mike thought of everything for a very relaxing vacation. Thanks again! The house was big, clean and completely up to date. T.V's in every room and comfortable beds. The central air was key to me renting. The house was cool as could be. Pool table and ping pong for the kids. I was pleased with my vacation and would recommed this house and will rent it again. The children enjoyed the space and freedom of being there with us, but because of the many places to be and things to do they felt they were on their own little vacation. The hominess of the house made just staying in doors a joy and we had to force ourselves to get out and about. The week really went too quickly and when Saturday came we were all very sad and didn't want to leave. Only own plans to return really soon made leaving such a beautiful comfortable home away from home bearable.

Our church group went for a weekend ski trip together. The facilities were VERY nice and clean. All of the appliances were new and there was an abundance of activities to do: pool, ping pong, dvd's, etc. The lodge is walking distance from Big Boulder, so we went there for night skiing. I would highly recommend this lodge for mod-large groups!

Multi-Family Long Ski Weekend

We had three families, 8 adults and 3 young kids. The house was perfect, bedrooms (with comfy beds!) for all the couples, and shared rooms for the "boys" and the "girls" (nieces/Aunt and nephews/Uncle). The three floor layout meant that there were places for different activities and plenty of room for all of us. The house is pretty and well stocked with kitchen stuff, games, tv's, and movies. It has a great view of the slopes too! We had a blast!

We had the best weekend getaway here. The home is fabulous with quality furnishings and modern appliances. The pool table and ping pong table occupied us all weekend. The deck and bar area are perfect hangout spots. It was easy coordinating with Lisa and she let us arrive early and stay late, allowing us to make the most of the weekend. Would highly recommend the home for a weekend, it is definitely one of the better ones that we've rented in the Poconos.

I just want to add my positive rating to this house. We had a five day vacation at the beginning of September and it was great. The house is super clean, comfortable and stocked with all you can imagine (games, tvs, etc). Close to the lake and obviously close to the ski resort. Use of the Mountain Club being included was extra bonus. I would highly recommend the property and hope to rent again from Lisa in the near future.

This home is the best home I have ever rented in the Poconos. Its updated..flat screen everywhere...spacious..3 floors...beautifully decorated..deer are all over the property very friendly. the tennis court is in the backyard..great BBQ grill, VERY CLEAN! Game room is so much fun..they have a pool table that converts into table tennis, 3 comfortable theater seats and a huge flat screen to watch movies...great audio system, and great bar...we bought so much food that we filled the upstairs fridge...but this home had an extra full size fridge by the bar area . I cant wait to come back the area has so much to do..shopping at the outlets, we went formula 1 racing at the Nascar track, Lisa the owner of the home provides you with all the information needed for activities in the area...I recommend this property to anyone! As you see it is a town home but never once did we hear anyone else...the balcony where the BBQ is located in VERY private you cant see anyone else's balcony only the wonderful landscape. ...All my friends were impressed at my pick..I hope to come back real soon... Great Vacation House

The place still has new-house smell. A great vacation house. Pool table and ping pong table add more fun to the beautiful house. We brought our Wii system, but did not even get time to play it. It is in walking distance to the Big Boulder Lake. Safe and quiet neighborhood. Highly recommended.

Long Weekend Getaway 2009

The house was great!!! It was exactly as described and it was super clean. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were freshly cleaned. The house has a fully stocked kitchen which includes a working oven and dishwasher. We had 10 people here and the house fit us just fine. The weather was not the best, but there is an in-door water park just a short drive away. We had a blast there = ) I would definitely rent this house again!!

My whole family was here from 814-8/19/09. We had a great time! The house is beautiful. Everyone had their own bedroom and my granddaughter had her own room too! The deck is very large and the 8 of us set out there comfortably (only drawback - you need an umbrella for the deck and there wasn't one). It was quiet, lots of deer and pool and beach access. Would definitely like to go back again soon! Lisa, you were also great to deal with and very accommodating.

It has been such a nice time away and we could not have asked for better weather. We absolutely love it here!!!! Can't even say I missed the ocean. This is the first time in 30 years not going to the beach with the family but they too agreed it was a great week.

I just wanted to send a thank you for the truly wonderful relaxing vacation! It is so beautiful up there. We were pleasantly surprised by all the "friendly guests" that showed up almost every evening outside. I'm referring to the many deer that were tame enough to eat Cheesecurls right out of our hand! The 6 point buck wasn't nearly as trusting as the girls, but loved the cheesecurls just the same. On Sunday moring there was a doe and her two spotted babies.
