Why the Owner Chose Tradewinds
We bought our unit at Tradewinds because we knew it was going to be a great location to spend precious vacation time. The family atmosphere on the beach is unmatched. Our kids always find play buddies and we have made many new friends on the beach there
We love Adventure Island! Go Karts, Putt-putt golf, laser tag plus much more! Having a major area amusement park right across the road is a huge plus.
Tradewinds is located just minutes from grocery stores and is convenient to everything!
My wife and I both frequented the area before we met and always referred to the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area as "the beach" . We have many happy memories there and we feel at home there. We know the good restaurants where the locals eat and the special places to visit. I'll be glad to share these with you. The area has a unique feel and truly is a place where everyone feels at ease. It's quaint but not stuffy, fun but not too rowdy. If you are looking for a family atmosphere or if you want to kick up your heels a little, Orange Beach is the place!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Very few vacationers have the opportunity to enjoy a view like this. Most of the gulf front units at Tradewinds have a single smaller balcony. We have a generous double balcony with a dining table. Since no one can see in, except the sea gulls, you can enjoy your privacy with the drapes wide open all day! At this height you can still hear the waves and feel the wind but not hear the pool noise. My favorite thing to do at least once every trip is to visit the local seafood grocery and have them prepare a seafood dinner and bring it back to the condo to enjoy. Steamed shrimp, gumbo, fresh baked bread, whoa! ...it really doesn't get any better than this! Barefoot dining at it's finest.
We also have one of the areas only outdoor heated pools for the spring guests.

My name is Howard Wadsworth, you will probably be dealing with me on the rental. My wife Annettee and I have have been married for 23 years and have two beautiful girls, age11, and 7. We are from Auburn, Alabama, in east central Alabama just four hours north of our famous white sand beaches. For the past 26 years I have owned a jewelry business specializing in loose diamonds and fine diamond jewelry and Annettee has been selling local cable TV advertising for almost 20 years. We both love to travel with our children to the beach or to our lake cabin nearby.

End of Summer weekend

We had two couples for an end of the summer weekend getaway from Dallas. The condo was wonderful and exactly as promised. It seemed like we were close enough to touch the gulf. I could see sunrise and sunset from the large balcony. Pool was nice too. We spent all our time on the beach or in the condo. All meals were cooked in the condo and the kitchen was fully equipped. We bought fresh fish from the recommended fish market. Why would I want to eat anywhere else. Nothing could beat that view.

Stayed with my daughter & niece. We had lots of room. 5/21/2011 thru 5/27/2011. Glorious weather, great views both day & night from the balcony. Best beach service ever. Howard was amazing to work with & the Condo was exactly as it was described. Impressed by Security & overall landscaping. The pool area, inside & out, was immaculate. Close to restaurants & shopping. Telling all my friends about this property. We will definitely be coming back to this wonderful Tradewinds Condo and Orange Beach AL area.

My wife and I and three children ranging in ages from 4-7 really had a great time at your Condo! We love the beach, and did in fact see dolphins each day from the balcony...especially in the mornings. Sea shells are fun for the kids to collect, and the beach was big enough to spread out and enjoy without feeling crowded out. In addition, there are plenty of places to dine out at each night, and you never have to hit the same place twice, unless of course the food was great! We'll be back again for sure sometime in the future!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in the condo. All of our expectations were met/exceeded. The view is wonderful and the location couldn't be better. This was our first trip to the beach in 7 years, but we won't wait that long again. We'd love to stay in this condo again.

Owner response:We use a housekeeping service that uses a commercial laundry exchange which means fresh sheets are brought in between guests. Commercial laundries literally boil the sheets and towels giving each bed a set of sterile sheets and each bath extremely clean towels. We have a "no-cooties" promise on our linens.

We have been vacationing in Gulf Shores for several years now, and I must say that this condo is by far our favorite place! From the AMAZING and EXPANSIVE balcony view, down the high-in bed linens and decor, this condo is perfect! I can't say that I would change one thing. The trip to the beach is short and easy, and the pool is just steps off the elevator. We have certainly found our "home away from home", and plan to return next year!

The condo was MORE than We expected. It had so many extras and personal touches. We would definitely recommend this condo to anyone who wanted a beach front condo. The beach at the condo wasn't as crowded as other places we have stayed in the past & that was more of a plus. Consider staying here on your next visit to Orange Beach.
